One wrong move and it’s over.TheaI was invisible until I wasn’t.One mistyped number became the catalyst to my hell on earth when I accidentally sent a risqué photo to the blackmail king of Silver Lake High. Now Connor Bishop holds it as a bargaining chip over my head. I’ve become his doll, at his mercy in a corrupt castle.Better do as he says or else, or else, or else… else, or else, or else…
His thumb is on the send button every time I try to buck his command. Can I survive a private photo going viral instead of living this life of torment?
It’s not right. Maybe it’s time his castle burns down.
Secrets and favors built my throne.
Connor
Meek. Shy. Wholesome.
Thea Kennedy was picture-perfect innocence until she wasn’t. The unexpected photo is the juiciest secret to land in my lap in a while. Who knew she was hiding luscious curves under frumpy sweaters?
With one racy selfie, Thea stepped into my world, where I control the board. I’ll trap the little mouse and won’t let her escape the depraved kingdom I built.
But there are darker monsters than me lurking in the shadows. They want to take a bite out of my little mouse. I don’t like sharing what’s mine.
Warning: Ruthless Bishop is a dark new adult high school bully romance intended for mature readers. This book is part of a series but can be enjoyed as a standalone. The Sinners and Saints series boys are all devilish antiheroes brought to their knees by a spitfire heroine, so if you love enemies-to-lovers and hate-to-love type stories, you’re in the right place. This mature new adult romance contains dubious situations, bullying, blackmail, stalking, a predator, crude language, and intense sexual/violent content that some readers might find triggering or offensive. Please proceed with caution.

Why have I not read this author before??? I loved… repeat, loved Ruthless Bishop! Bully romances aren’t usually my thing. An author has to be able to redeem the hero in my eyes or it isn’t a legit romance. Veronica Eden did a phenomenal job doing just that!
We follow Thea, who accidentally sends a provocative text to the school’s blackmail king. Eventually our hero, Connor needs her help with something and isn’t against using this mishap to his advantage.
I’m absolutely in love with their story. In fact, I’m about to dive into book one of this series because book three was just that good. Obviously, this can be read as a standalone because I read it as such. If you haven’t read anything by this author Ruthless Bishop is a fantastic place to start!
to be honest i went into this blindly and had some expectations because of the previous book, the first half was very nice and Thea is a really cute character, she’s very soft and caring but stands up for herself and other people when she needs to. and Bishop was intriguing and funny. also his relationship with Devlin and Blair was a huge highlight for me and so were the glimpses we got of D&B as a couple.
one of my favorite parts was right before the second half, there’s plot twist that really got me, it made it really hard to put the book down because i just wanted to know what was happening.
can’t wait for Maisy and Wilder’s story!
3.5 stars
ruthless bishop follows connor bishop (devlin’s best friend and blackmail king) and thea kennedy (“shy”, nerdy girl) who we got glimpses of during tempting devil. overall i felt like this was a really cute addition to the sinners and saints series but the strong points revolved around the friendships between some characters, and individual character moments.
– devlin and connor’s friendship !!! we see so much more if it in ruthless bishop than we did in tempting devil and it’s amazing. i love how they always support each other and have each other’s back and are genuinely affectionate (not to mention hilarious)
– thea’s baking addiction is so cute
– connor implementing things he’s learned in therapy
– the texting trope
– connor’s secret hobby/passion … unexpected but i loved it
– bishopblairdevlin being the trio i never knew i needed
– the epilogues + bonus extended epilogue … they were SO perfect.
↬ the hints of book 4’s couple … i’m really looking forward to them because their trope is angsty and there’s definitely going to be lots of drama
…
special mention to devlinblair who are probably one of my favourite na couples of all time. they were sooooo cute in this book, it’s worth reading for the devlinblair crumbs alone because i loved seeing them from bishopthea’s pov. i’m really impressed with the continuity in their characters throughout the 3 books because they didn’t do or say anything ooc (which is a worry i usually have about established characters making an appearance in other books). and devlin in my opinion is the best male character veronica has written, all his scenes here were so good.
and the bonus extended epilogue ??? had one of the cutest devlinblair scenes of the entire series i seriously loved it so much.
Before starting the proper review, let me say that Veronica Eden’s writing style has become one of my favourite from 2020. I’m so glad I found out about Tempting Devil and got to see more of her work!
4.5/5 stars
Ruthless Bishop is the third book of the Sinners and Saints series and it follows Thea Kennedy and Connor Bishop’s story.
I was excited to be able to meet properly Bishop and Thea, as their breadcrumbs on Tempting Devil left me wanting more. Overall, I really liked this book.
I loved their relationship. It was easy to see how much they love and care for each other, how they started their relationship in a very passionate way (the texts… yes exactly what you’re thinking) but how they start developing feelings for each other.
I have to say that one of the things that I liked the most was the development of both characters throughout the book. Bishop and Thea have incredible chemistry, ( we all know that ) I liked the dynamics between these two. The fact that Connor blackmailed her and then asked her to be his fake girlfriend had me gagging. I do love fake-dating. Need to mention again the emotional and physical connection between them, it was really incredible.
Thea Kennedy sweetest baby ever and Constantine best dog! I adore animals and especially dogs, and reading Thea’s relationship with him made me happy. Not sure if I love her as much as I love Blair ( she’s my best girl I can’t help it ) but she has a special spot in my heart for sure. She might be naive, shy but she’s so damn strong, determined and brave.
Also, have to mention my babies devlinblair because I miss them so much. It was really interesting being able to see Devlin and Blair’s relation from Connor and Thea’s perspectives. Enjoyed seeing them on the GC and being a power-couple. Plus, we got to see Devlin being over-protective (as always) and Blair finally opening and meeting more people such as Thea and Maisy. I know this trio would be iconic. AND !!!! the bonus chapter made me emo. Truly emo.
Can’t wait for some childhood best friends to enemies to lovers with Maisy and Fox. Love some angst.
Ruthless Bishop follows the story about Connor Bishop who accidentally receives a naughty from Thea Kennedy the shy, nerdy girl at school. Connor is a blackmail king. He has information on so many people and uses it to bend them to his will and Thea will be no different. With one mistyped number, she reveals a completely new side to herself to the school king.
highlights
– devlin and connor’s friendship (they’re my babies). they have each other’s back and it’s seriously so heartwarming and ofc they’re a hilarious duo
– thea is such a softie. she’s so freaking cute; i wanna carry her around in my pocket
– texting/sexting trope was so different than anything i’ve read and it was super well written and not to mention hot lol
– connor + devlinblair… no words. what a dynamic duo ugh!!
– AND MOST OF ALLLLLLL THE EPILOGUE SCENE + EXTENDED BONUS SCENE OMG PLEASE (crying fr)
Overall, I really liked this book. I was super excited for this book’s release! We’ve gotten so many spicy glimpses of bishopthea in Tempting Devil and I was happy to get my hands on this book. Veronica is such an amazing writer. She brings you into this world and you get so addicted to the characters. One of her many talents is building the angst and story for future characters. She does it SO WELL. I’m already so invested in the next couple. I cannot wait for them to serve. The devlinblair scenes were so perfect (gotta love icons). Again, another shoutout for that epilogue- I’m so so happy about that. I couldn’t stop smiling. I’m seriously so ecstatic about it because I get to see all my babies and the extended bonus scene is way too precious.

Ruthless Bishop is the third book in the Sinners and Saints series.
I was waiting for this book ever since the end of Tempting Devil and I am so happy to be part of the ARC team.
This book was a fantastic read.
The story begins when Thea sends a picture to Connor without actually knowing it’s him.
This story follows the events that occur after the picture is sent.
The author has made this book a wonderful and easy read.
I was so involved in reading it that I kept on coming up with theories as to what was going to happen next.
Thea was nice and quiet girl. But, if you are hurting her or someone be it mentally or physically she will not backdown and will stand up for you
As a sugar fiend myself, I loved to read about Thea and her baking. It just added to her overall cuteness.
Connor was this grumpy guy who I initially though was going about something the wrong way. But his character development through out the story was so good.
I love the way he keeps calling Thea, Sunshine.
This book also talks about a serious issue that is very important in this day and age and something we should all be careful about.
Overall this book was wonderful read and I recommend everyone to read it as everyone will be able to find something they appreciate.
Well done to the author!!!
I hope you keep releasing more wonderful books.
I was totally intrigued when I read the blurb for this book. The previous two books in this series where great so I knew this would be a hit.
Thea has always admired Conner from afar, but she just seems to good to be caught up in the bad boy. With her frumpy clothes, and seemingly shy personality she is more the girl to get picked on then picked up. Conner is the hottest bad boy in school. He runs the school, and what he says goes. He also can’t believe the biggest nerd in school hides a killer body underneath.
Conner plays cat and mouse with Thea through most of the book. He doesn’t like that she just trusts him, and wants to be there for him with no other motive then to spend time with him. He is used to be used and using anyone who gets in his way. Together they navigate a secret relationship that spills over into their every day lives. On top of everything Thea’s mom is Conner’s dads right hand “man”. What could Thea possibly want with him because he knows she doesn’t like him for him? What could Conner possibly want with Thea because she knows she is everything he has never wanted? Read this book, and you will not be disappointed 🙂
Urgh, Veronica Eden has put me in a difficult position after reading Ruthless Bishop…… I can’t decide which guy and couple are my favourite lol. Just when I think I’ve found my favourite, she releases another book in the series and I’m all conflicted again. Lucas, Devlin and Connor are all hot in their own way and form amazing relationships with the girls who come into their lives. The girls are all strong females who stand their ground and never back down despite whatever is sent their way.
I went into Ruthless Bishop expecting one story and came away having read a story that was so much more. Veronica Eden has taken a sensitive topic and given it the care it needs to make this story powerful and moving. I did find myself frustrated with Thea at one point as she deals with the realisation that she’s a victim, but she turns that into being a fighter and a survivor.
I discovered Veronica Eden by chance after Wicked Saint was released and I fast became a fan of her work. I love seeing more readers discover her as each book is released because she’s a hidden gem that should be shared with the world. I feel like Ruthless Bishop ends one generation of characters and leads us into the next generation and I can’t wait for more guaranteed 5 star reads by one of my favourite authors!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book
This took my breathe away so deeply invested with emotion and suspense in a fantastic tale belonging to Thea and Conner, it is so intense, wonderful. I voluntarily reviewed this book.
My favourite Sinners and Saints book yet! I’ve been so intrigued by Bishop, and to say I was excited to get my hands on his story is an understatement.
Bishop and Thea’s story swept me up from beginning to end. The obstacles and issues they both struggled with seemed insurmountable at times, and I was on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what would happen. I don’t want to give away spoilers, but let’s just say there were moments that had my heart racing and biting my nails, and moments that had me fanning myself and swooning. That leads me onto Connor Bishop himself – he melted me. Alll the swoon – I just loved him. And Thea – she was perfect for him, and I love how she went on her own journey independantly of him, yet together, they were pure fire.
I can’t wait to read the next!
Oh my gosh! I was explaining to a co-worker about my obsession with bully romances. My male co-worker. And, I need to say, I do not condone bullying. However, what writers have done in this genre is provided tapestries of raw emotion, amazing dialogue, “exceptional” character development. My heart races, my palms sweat, I cry, I smile, I cringe, oh my gosh, I FEEL!
Ms. Eden, you floored me with Ruthless Bishop! Keep them coming; I need these escapes!
I received an advanced reader copy, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the third book in The Sinners and Saints series. You can so read this book as a standalone and be perfectly fine. This is the first book that I have read in this series and I was fine. But it will make you want to go back and read the first two books. This is the story of Connor and Thea. Connor just so happens to get a text that was never suppose to land on his phone. It was meant for someone else. However Connor is a bully and really great at getting secrets and then uses them to blackmail people. I must say though that these two had some great chemistry and I really liked both the characters, even if he was a bully. These two have some serious banter between them too and some pretty sexy moments. I also didn’t think it was one of those typical books about bullies. I thought this one dove much deeper than that and we got the family dynamic in here too and there are some secrets that need to be told. Someone else too might just be after Thea and you have to uncover that too This book is good and I enjoyed reading it.
When I met these two crazy amazing characters in the previous Sinners and Saints book I couldn’t wait to get all the deeds on them.
I love Thea’s spunkiness and Bishop’s jerk ways. Together they are explosive and stunning. This is so much more than a bully read, we also get mystery and suspense. Oh I love how Rico-suavey Bishop is. He has the biggest heart that he keeps hidden. Loved these characters and their story.

My Rating: 3/4
Type: Standalone
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Narration: Dual POV
Primary Characters: Connor & Thea
This book is third installment in the Sinners and Saints series. This book brings a soft and passionate romance along with a bit of suspense surrounding the lives of these main characters. We got a glimpse of Connor and Thea in Tempting Devil; in this we get to know them better. We could peek into Devlin and Blair’s life some more in this book.
As the blurb says, Connor is silver lake’s blackmail king and Thea is a shy, nerdy girl. Book starts exactly as described in blurb. A one mistyped number lands Thea in Connor’s radar. We see Connor in different light here than what we saw in other two books. With his broken family and anger management issue he still seemed sensible, confident and self-assured guy. Thea is exactly as described in the book. Sweet, cute, next door neighbor. Thea’s longing to be seen still being invisible was totally relatable to several girls who struggle with self-image issue.
Individual characters were good. Relationship development is good. They were adorable, but I wouldn’t have minded seeing them blossom slowly for some more time. Suspense element was surprising. Totally loved Devlin and Connor friendship in this. They had each other’s back during difficult times. Devlin, Blair and Connor trio just rocked. This book even deals with some serious issues of how innocent adolescents fall prey for scammer. It was handled and dealt well. I would have loved to know more about crow guys. They came and just vanished without any hint. I just couldn’t accept or digest the fact of not knowing anything about Crows. That was one major downside for me.
Narration style is simple and easy to understand. Plot moved in steady pace initially and it got fast paced 3X times in the end. Liked seeing other silver high students. Maisy and Fox were intriguing. Can’t want to see what author has in store for them.
Overall, great addition to Sinner & Saint series. If you are a fan of this series, don’t miss this sweet, passionate romantic suspense.
I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for honest review.

i was so excited for thea and bishop’s story and they did not disappoint. i think what i liked best about this book was that the storyline was unique, the whole blackmailing thing made this book so interesting and i loved every bit of it.
This is the third installment in the Sinner’s of Saint Series but can be read as a stand alone. However why would you want to do that when all the books are fabulous. I’ve been eagerly awaiting Connor and Thea’s story. Thea is the perfect student, perfect daughter and overall invisible but she want’s to be seen. Connor is the ruthless bad boy who holds everyone’s secrets to his advantage while his home life is combusting. Thea one night accidentally sends Connor an inappropriate text that starts a chain of events forcing the bully and the invisible girl together. As they grow closer an unknown threat from Thea’s past emerges and Connor will do anything to protect her. This book has heat, excitement and a sweet love story. Each book has gotten better and better. I’m looking forward to the fourth book in the series.
I received an ARC for my honest review
I absolutely LOVED Ruthless Bishop!! Connor and Thea were perfect together and had amazing chemistry! I loved the banter between them and the accidental texting left me smiling. I could relate to Thea on so many levels so I could really feel what she was going through. I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say that the side story in this book was written well and things like that are needed to be talked about. It’s hard to admit when it’s happened to you so I really understand how Thea felt when it all came to light. Overall the story was beautifully written and done extremely well. These are some of my favorite books, Sinners and Saints series. I love Veronica Eden’s style, you are hooked from page one. Fantastic book and highly recommend!
Voluntary review of an ARC
Oh, I think that Veronica Eden has now become one of my top authors to read. Hands down, I loved this book. So we have Thea who just happens to have insecurities about herself. Even though she is gorgeous. She does something crazy and it just happens to go to the wrong number. Oopsie! Right? Well lets say the fall out of this gets crazy. You have Conner who is king of blackmail and just so happens to come across this tidbit of information. So obviously we know what will happen next. This is one turbulent ride with Conner and Thea. She is so easy going, shy, sweet and does not want to turn out like her mom. Conner is brash, devious and angry. Some how they are so compatible. The yin and yang to each other. As you read, you will see how Thea somehow manages to work her way into his heart and vice versa. I love the Thea decides that she is not going to let Conner dictate to her and basically shoots her shot. I loved the build up of the story and then bam here comes some bad juju and basically is trying to destroy what they could have. Will they fight for each other or walk away? I loved the intensity of the characters and cheered on Thea for rising above it all.
Baby
/ˈbeɪbi/
noun
1. A very young child.
2. Being soft, cute, adorable, sweet, lovable.
3. Thea Kennedy and Connor Bishop.
Sending a racy text to the wrong number can be embarrassing, but when said wrong number belongs to the king of blackmail, Connor Bishop? Thea Kennedy should know. The third installment in the Sinners and Saints series brings a soft and passionate romance along with a bit of suspense surrounding the lives of these main characters.
⇢ Thea Kennedy. I LOVE HER! she was the definition of soft. At the beginning and from the previous book, Thea was portrayed as a shy and nerdy girl and she was that, but she also had a strong personality when necessary standing up for herself and her ideas. She was persistent, determined, smart, kind and so brave. Since her teens she went through a lot and I loved seeing how her reasoning changed over the years and how she gave herself pep talks. Also, her sunny personality and obsession with baking… I think this is the trait of all my favorite characters so I clearly have a type .
⇢ Connor Bishop. He was an acquired taste. At first I wasn’t really sure about him because he seemed to be like every NA character up to now, but after a while I could see that he had a lot of things going on in his environment and he wasn’t your typical popular athlete, he didn’t use his problems as an excuse to act like an idiot and tried to improve himself from the start. He was funny, smart and sweet.
I really liked the dynamics between these two. They started their relationship in a very passionate way, but they were also super sweet and supportive of each other.
Also, another of my favorite things was the friendship. In this book we could see more of the relationship between Bishop and Devlin (and Blair, thanks for those moments), and I love how they knew what was happening in each other’s life and always had each other’s backs. And there’s also the friendship between Thea and Maisy, which I hope we can see more of it!
As for the plot, I’m only gonna say one thing…
And don’t make me start talking about the epilogue AND THE EXTENDED EPILOGUE. Ugh, literally what dreams are made of for me. Overall, I enjoyed and loved this book SO MUCH, so Veronica Eden did it again. And those little glimpses of book #4… girl I can’t wait for the drama!
