Those aren’t the reasons Eva should stay away from him though.

Rush: The Beginning is the first book in the Black Hearts Still Beat Series. From page one I was become so absorbed in this story, and the characters. It was angsty, fun, emotional and so much more. I loved Eva and her bestie Molly. Getting introduced to the guys in the band especially Rafe!! But his brother Levi is a close second, and he’s only a blimp in the story. I’m hoping that L.A. Cotton is planning on writing stories for all the band members, cause I would read them in a heartbeat. I can’t wait to get the next book in this series and see what is going to happen for them all.
“What are we doin’ Rafe?”
He stared up at me
“Falling” he whispered
Oh my days, I am so hooked already. Rush had ALL the feels.
You know the kind of feelingS you get when you begin a journey with the characters, maybe that journey starts off were they are children or teens and you enter on a journey with them, you feel a part of them, the ups and downs, the high’s and the lows, your right there with them right up to adult life, I’m talking about THOSE FEELS and this is how the beginning of Rafe and Evangeline’s story felt and its only the beginning.
This is the beginning of Rafe and Evangeline’s story. How they met, behind the stage curtains of a talent show that Evangeline had entered while Rafe’s band-mate sat out front on the judging panel and how they have instant connection and chemistry, if only Rafe wasn’t a mega rock-star, if only Evangeline didn’t have secrets she didn’t want to share, I have a feeling there will be a lot of “if only’s” coming my way.
RUSH is the back story and I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to more. I got the feeling while reading this book that I was on the brink of something epic and poetic and I want more, I need more.
Rock meets Country, bring it on!
wow what a rush to read this fast pace read. ive got no word to decibe this book because it was fast and i need the next book fast because i need to know what is happening. this is amazing first start for this rock start series, and im loving this read.

Seriously fantastic. I was kinda pissed off that I finished so fast. I need more..now…please.
Eva and Rafe….off the chart chemistry..instant connection that only happens once in a lifetime.
I love this new world that LA Cotton brought to us.
I’m so hungry for Rise..and I have a long wait.
Will I survive the torment or will Lianne have mercy on my soul?

I really enjoyed this book! Rush is a prequel of sorts for Cotton’s newest Series, Black Hearts Still Beat. If you like Rockstars, talented singers with small town charm, New Adult Romance, Second Chances, with a little bit of drama and some secrets thrown in, you will love this book! It is a fun, quick, and entertaining read. And I can’t wait for the next book to see where things are headed. 5 Lyrical Stars!
Wow! What can I say!? LA Cotton slayed it. The title says it all, Rush: The beginning. The rush of adrenaline pumping through your veins as you get lost in the music. I literally could just imagine it. To love something so whole heartedly and forget everything but you and the way music makes you feel must be such a Rush! This story was such a quick read and did it ever just hit you in all the feels. The connection between Eva and Rafe just get to you. I love the broken hero and heroines. They always seem to complete eachother in a way that satisfies you. Although, this one ends with you wanting so much more and wondering. Start this book today!
