Things are heating up in San Francisco for Aspen Adams this summer. With grad school under my belt I’m ready to start the next chapter of my life. San Francisco is a brand new city. I have an amazing apartment, a new job, family, and friends to keep me occupied. Life in the city will be easy. Keep my head down, don’t break any of the ridiculous rules in my lease agreement, get my best friend … rules in my lease agreement, get my best friend through her nasty relationship drama, and stick to my five year plan. I’ve got this. Or at least I would if I could figure out why my heart skips a beat every time I see my hot neighbor.
Handsome, funny, and always around right when I need him, Finnegan McRyan is my own personal knight in shining armor. The tousled hair and sexy glasses don’t hurt his appeal either. Finn acts like the perfect man, but there’s something about him that has me questioning if it’s too good to be true.
Can I count on him when it really matters or is Finn using his good guy image to hide the truth?

Rush ( The Boys of RDA book1) By : Megan Matthews is the first book in her The Boys of RDA series and I couldn’t put it down once I started reading. Aspen has recently moved to San Francisco and has started a new job. The only family she has is her brother Ben who is not only a detective but a soon to be dad and a husband. He tends to be a bit over protective of her. Then theres Finn ,he is a video game programmer who is couch surfing at the moment. These have an attraction for each other but there are secrets that one is keeping that could destroy them. What will happen with these two?Find out by grabbing a copy.I can’t wait to read more from this Author.
Rush was such a great book. I truly read this book in one day and I was sneaking to read more when I was supposed to be working. Finn and Aspen meet by chance one day. Aspen is your everyday working woman trying to make it in the city. Finn is a software developer crashing on a friend’s couch which happens to be Aspen’s neighbor. They instantly click and start to fall for each other. Both of them have hang ups from the past and one has some secrets that can destroy their future. I really enjoyed these characters and how their story unfolded. Looking forward to more with this author.
Rush (The Boys of RDA Book 1)
By Megan Matthews
I enjoyed this cute, romantic quick read. Aspen has just moved to San Francisco to be closer to her brother, I found her to be a lot of fun and relatable. Finn who seems like the perfect guy, he’s so sweet and always there when Aspen needs him. As I was reading I kept waiting for the ball to drop because I knew something was coming I just didn’t know what. The author did an excellent job pulling me into this story and her detailed descriptions made me feel like I was there. I also enjoyed the secondary characters they made the story that much better. Overall I think this was a great read and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
Rush (The Boys of RDA #1) by Megan Matthews was an okay read that was a little bit of a slow burn.
This quirky dream guy fantasy like read has all the things I look for when reading rom-comms. But, I will say that, this book did fall a little short on the flow, pacing and overall excitement.
I loved Finn, he was pure male fan-service. He did have some moments I wasn’t fond off, but that just made him all the more real and enjoyable. A billionaire nerd, my dream come true. He really stole the show for me, and was my fav character in the whole book. As for Aspen, for a girl with an MBA, at times I wonder how she got through grad school. And the way she made fun of Finn’s job, that didn’t sit well with me at all. Shallow thinking and just plain old mean. I also didn’t like how she didn’t connected the dots about Finn, it was right there, and I caught on in seconds. Just to put this in perspective, it was her narrative that I connected the dots through, as in, through her eyes, her voice. I just feel like Aspen as dumped down, and there was no need for it; I think she was a missed opportunity. The overall story was a little slow for my liking, and there was a lot of lulls between “action”. The book wasn’t that much of a rush, but I did still very much like the overall concept and plot.
Overall this story had all the makings of a laugh out loud rom-comm, but just missed the mark. I did however enjoyed the overall story, there’s some pretty solid moments, and like I said, Finn is an amazing character and I loved reading about him. Aspen’s best friend is also a very solid character and really brought out a good side to Aspen that would have been otherwise missed, and actually made me like her.
So though I have mixed feelings about this book, there are some good things going on, and Finn’s and Aspen growing relationship was believable and at times fun. So please take my recommendation and my stamp of approval that even though I wasn’t fully on board, reading is subjective and you might fall head over heels for this feisty read.
Happy Reading

This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew me away. I love a good contemporary romance but this author exceeded all my expectations. This is the first book to The Boys of RDA series and it was the perfect start. I was hooked on this book right from the first chapter. You can’t but to fall in love with these characters. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing story.
Aspen Adams just finished grad school and now she is ready for her new life. She moves to San Francisco into a very nice apartment her brother’s wife found for her. Aspen has certain rules she can not break or she might be living with her brother. She has a her five year plan in place and she is going to focus on her career. Aspen is sticking to her plan until she meets her hot neighbor Finn. She is instantly attracted to him but she doesn’t understand why. Finn is funny, charming, and hot. All the things she is looking for but it is too good to be true? Will Aspen find what she is looking for in this new city or will she run back home?
I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has is all romance, mystery, and some good drama. You will fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. Aspen is a beautiful woman and knows what she wants. She is focused on her job and she doesn’t want any drama. Finn is very handsome with a good heart. The way he treats Aspen will make your heart melt. These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your temperature rise. This talented author will keep you on your toes until the end. I can’t wait to meet the rest of these men.

Rush by Megan Matthews is a phenomenal read that I loved from start to finish. It’s the first book in The Boys of RDA series, a series I can’t wait to continue with. This romance read is sweet, steamy, fast paced, emotional and truly captivating. Once I started reading, I couldn’t bring myself to stop! Aspen and Finn really intrigued me, and I loved how their relationship progressed so quickly, they fit together perfectly!
I found myself easily following along to the story as it was told with so much detail that it felt as if I was right there with the characters, and who doesn’t love that?
I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next romance read!

This is the first book in the Boys of RDA series and I can say that it’s definitely off to a good start! I really enjoyed this book and found it to be very refreshing. The author has definitely created characters that we can relate to. The book was just a page turner I couldn’t put it down.
I really like how the author creates the drama around Finn and Aspen. The way that they meet and get together is actually quite realistic. I found that even though there was a bit of up and down for Finn and Aspen it just adds to the book and keeps the reader’s interest. I really look forward to reading more from this author and this series in the future.
Rush (The Boys of RDA Book 1) by Megan Matthews is a contemporary romance story with comedic flair. Megan Matthews is a new author to me, and I found her writing style to be fresh and free flowing. The characters are developed and could be friends. The story was genuine and fun. I cannot wait to get into the next story in this series. A little about the story, if you can imagine a graduate student who is ready to tackle the world moves to San Francisco. This is a new start for her and cannot wait to start living life. She moves into this apartment that has some of the most ridiculous rules. She will keep her head down and follow all the rules except she has noticed the hottie who moved in the apartments. Will she be able to execute her five-year plan, or will she fall short of her goals?
Rush by Megan Matthews is book one of The Boys of RDA series. This book is a contemporary romantic comedy and the first book I’ve read by this author. I really enjoyed the story.
Aspen has everything going for her. She has a new apartment thanks to her sister in law, even if it has ridiculous rules for her to follow. She is going to stick to her plan and focus on work. When she quite literally falls into Finn, things start to change a little. Finn seems to be around any time Aspen needs him which has her scared that it is too good to be true. Will Finn be there for Aspen when she really needs him?
The book was enjoyable. The characters were engaging. The book was written so well that I could picture myself in San Francisco. Overall, the book was great, engaging and fun to read. Can’t wait to read more of this series.

This was my first book by this author and I loved it…Was a fun break from the heavier books I’ve been reading lately, not that I don’t love those as well but this one was a lot of fun..Don’t get me wrong there were times I wanted to slap someone or throw my kindle at the wall but in the end I was completely satisfied and can not wait to read more of this series and want to check out whatever else this author has available.
I loved the main characters Aspen and Finn and love their names even, and something I thought made the book that much better was the friendships and family members that were written. This author also took great care in describing locations, something I find sometimes to be too wordy and cause me to skim, but this one had me actually picturing everything in my mind and I truly appreciated that.
I highly recommend reading this story and I’m sure if you do you will be as excited as I am to read more.
Loved it!!!
Rush begins with me being drawn in immediately. Aspen literally falls at Finn’s feet. Gosh, even their names are hawt!! The story has that zing, already promising to dazzle the reader.
Aspen sells dog food and Finn designs video games. They meet at the apartment complex where they both live. Aspen hasn’t been in San Francisco long, so Finn shows her around a bit. They are getting to know one another, with both of them really liking what they see, so far. Their patience wears thin when their hunger for each other increases. Aspen cannot resist the allure of Finn.
Emotions are high, the wrong conclusions are reached. Aspen feels Finn judged her unfairly and incorrectly, and she let him know that, in no uncertain terms. Finn would give anything for another shot, and even though a tiny little voice tells her to turn away and not look back, she is unable to ignore the heat between them, and is just too attracted to Finn to let him go without a fight.
Finn seems like your typical gamer dude, but holy man, it is a totally different story in the bedroom. He knows what he wants and he knows how to please a woman. He is certainly no alpha male, but he is definately not a spineless wimp, either. He seems to be pretty much everything Aspen wants in a man. She yearns for the chance to spend time with Finn, when he is not jumping to conclusions, that is.
Finn has things that he has been hiding, and when Aspen finds out, she is hurt that she was the last to know. Aspen has never hidden anything from Finn, preferring the honest approach, to the one of omitting information from the person they are trying to build something with. The dynamic between them is a complex one. I always got the feeling that Finn was never totally comfortable with Aspen. Maybe because of all the things he keeps close to his chest was taking it’s toll. It was difficult to get a handle on Finn, whereas Aspen was like an open book. While I love a good mystery, and the challenge of finding out how someone ticks, it is refreshing to read about a character that you know, straight up, how they work, taking the guesswork out and allowing you just to immerse yourself into their fantasy and dream away.
Rush is Book #1 in the Boys of RDA series, and my first time reading this author’s work. The book was highly enjoyable, with a free flowing storyline, as well as characters that provided a great escape into their world. Although parts were sometimes predictable, the book was still
captivating and difficult to put down. A thrill to read and I am looking forward to LAg, Book #2 in the Boys of RDA series.
Loved this book! The author does a fantastic job writing what I found to be a fast paced story with compelling characters. The storyline was well developed and richly detailed. The characters were resolute and relatable. I couldn’t put this book down before I finished the last page. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!
Rush by Megan Matthews is the first hook in the Boys of RDA series is. This book is a good start to a new series and is one I will be wanting to read more of.
I do have to say that at times I was a little disappointed with the writing style: it felt like there was something missing almost and I didn’t always connect with it.
However I did enjoy the overall story and I liked what the author did with it. The characters were likeable and easy to ease about. I could tell this was the start of a series and I am hopeful for what is to come out of it.
Rush (The Boys of RDA Book 1) by Megan Matthews is sweet story that is light and fun and easy to read. The characters are well developed and made me laugh and they found a way in to my heart. I like Megan’s writing style which is inviting and interesting and makes it on hard to put the book down. It is a wonderful romance story that you can’t get enough of. I am loving the best friends and can’t wait to read their stories.
Aspen is upright and the next she isn’t, it seems her knight in shining armour has just saved her from a fate worse than death. Could he be the man of her dreams or is she reading too much into it? Will his past ruin what they could have in the future?
Finn saves the day and finds himself captivated by the girl he has just saved. He once thought he knew what love was but now he is not so sure, but will his past raise its ugly head and ruin all he has ever wanted.
This is the first book by this author and I am definitely looking forward to reading more in this series.
Boring
The two main characters are so different … like oil and water …
The male lead is an innovative, hard-working person who downplays his potential social status because he wants to have fun doing what he loves to do.
The female lead comes off as a spoiled brat because the male lead did not CONFESS to her that his financial status was somewhat more than “just one of the working class.:”
But this story line leads to some really great situations and contributes to some entertaining chapters.
I guarantee, you’re going to be picking sides … me, I liked the way the male lead try to downplay his status, I really don’t know what the female lead wanted … even though he tried to give her everything to win her over.
It’s entertaining … but I still think the female lead is a spoiled brat. go figure!
Absolutely loved it! I want to read the next one!!
Captivating…..good read. For me…..one that was difficult to put down. Loved the 2 main characters…..great interaction….loved when yhy were together.
found it to be a very good read, having a number of twist that cause the reader to rethink their conclusions. Very injoyable.
A love story between reclusive geek billionaire and a total opposite. It was quite an enjoyable romance story with elements of heat, sweet romance, interesting background and characters, although the reaction of the female heroine was a bit over the top when the story of the man’s financial status comes up. Definitely recommended, especially if you do like some geekiness to your romance.
