I had a hard time with this one. It took me a couple of days to get through it, I kept putting it down and picking it back up. I wanted to see it though because I want to move on to the next 2 books. I really like her 2 sisters. I’m going to chalk this one up as meh and continue on with the series.
Levi & Fawn are HILARIOUS and HOT and SWEET and I LOVE THEM! This story had me laughing out loud so many times, and swooning just as many. Fawn & her sisters have a very close, very sweet relationship. Levi’s family is a riot as well, and there’s a connection there that made me happy squee!
Oh, and don’t forget about Muffin. That dog tries her best to steal the show! *grin*
I’m looking forward to reading the next books in the series! : )
The best kinda beginning to a beautiful series. I can’t wait for the world to get a taste of this book and the rest of this series.
Aurora Rose Reynolds had done it yet again.
There are times Levi has Fawn all flabbergasted, “babe, are you here with me?” Am I? I don’t even know what’s happening here. “Do you want eggs and toast or a bagel for breakfast?” Levi knows how to lay down the law, “just so you know, you and Hank will never happen,” I inform her and feel her eyes on me, so I drop mine to look at her. “You’re mine, and I don’t share. He missed his chance when he didn’t step up to the plate like a man and straight up ask you out.” Sometimes a man just needs his woman, “…he looks from me to the open bedroom door. “Fawn’s gonna be a minute,” he growls toward the living room, shutting the door on my sisters, who start to laugh.” I loved this book, I loved Levi the man was quite the alpha.
4,5 stars
I really love Kristen Ashley her books so I’m always on the lookout for books (and writers) who give me the same pleasure like KA’s stories does. One of the names that is mentioned a lot by other KA’s fans is the name of Aurora Rose Reynolds. So I decided to read a book of her and after reading the blurb of ‘Running into love’ I decided to start with that one and I’m very happy that I did because I really enjoyed this story!
The story ‘Running into love’ has all the qualities that I love in my books. You have Fawn Reed who is a sassy woman with a good heart and then you have alpha, good guy Levi Fremont. Who falls for Fawn the first time he meets her (literary and emotionally). The story was light and funny. I liked the chemistry and the banter between the couple. And then you have Muffin, Fawn’s big dog, who has a personality of her own. I also enjoyed the meetings with Fawn’s and Levi’s family. Especially the mothers were very entertaining. The story is told in both POV’s.
I’m very glad that I discovered this writer and I will definitely read more books of her.
I was provided a copy by NetGalley for an honest review|
I was looking forward to this book since I liked the Until series by Reynolds. However, I couldn’t fall in love with this book.
Starts out with our main character Fawn running in NYC with her eyes closed (which was never explained), she runs into Levi who we find out is going to be her new neighbor and this how our story starts.
I liked the characters. Fawn was relatable and Levi was a great alpha love interest. He was all in from the first meet. I feel like I missed the moment where he made that decision. Basically what was the moment where was like “Damn I want this girl”?
The book was funny and the secondary characters were great. It just felt a little bit too predictable and too perfect for my liking. Overall I liked it, just not as much as I wished I did.
Aurora Rose Reynolds has always been a favorite author of mine. And this first book in her new series does not disappoint. While this story isn’t necessarily insta-love, it’s close. There is a very strong, mutual instant attraction. Levi consistently and constantly shows Fawn how he feels, but being a fairly typical male doesn’t necessarily vocalize it.
It was a lot of fun to watch the relationship change and grow between these two. The love/sex scenes were scorchingly off the charts. If you liked Ms. Reynolds’ Until series, then I definitely believe you’ll love this book as well.
“You stole my heart and my breath the day you ran into me,” I say simply, and she pulls back, wiping away the tears on her cheeks.
“Who would have thought running with your eyes closed would lead to love?” she asks, and I grin at her, then look over at Muffin.
I have always been a fan of ARR. She delivers a story that gives a near perfect balance of feels, laughter, and happily ever after. I always love reading about her alpha men, sassy ladies, and adorable kiddos! This book was no exception, although a bit in a different direction than I’m used to.
Fawn is awesome. She’s sort of accident prone, but is smart, hilarious, and oh so fun. I NEED a friend like her! She loves her family, but sometimes they sort of help out with her proclivity to shenanigans 😉 When she has an unlikely encounter with the police (trust me, I can’t tell you … you need to read it), she runs into her neighbor Levi, who is a part of the force. Wanting nothing to do with him (because he’s of course HOT), she ends up accepting a ride home.
These two seem to have not one thing in common, but each time they’re together it’s almost like magic. There is not only chemistry between them, but there’s also just … heart. They both have so much inside them that most people can’t see, and when they’re together they get to tap into that hidden beauty.
Their road to one another isn’t easy, especially with some of their ornery family members involved, but they do find it. And when they do … *swoons.* The books I’ve been reading lately have truly made my heart skip a beat — each for different reasons — and this one is no exception. Another great story of love <3
Enjoyed this well written story and characters! First time reading this author and looking forward to reading more!!
