Ivy’s husband has always been a cheat and a liar, but when he gets caught up in a game of espionage he flees the country with his latest bimbo, and Ivy has finally had enough. She packs up the kids and moves back to her hometown to escape the fallout. Trouble is — her problems don’t stay behind in California, but follow her all the way to Omaha, Nebraska.
The FBI is tracking her every move, … move, hoping she’ll lead them to her fugitive husband, while evil men threaten her family’s safety if she doesn’t give them what they want.
Agent Samson Sinclair is assigned to keep an eye on Ivy. He is her only ally against threats and suspicions that come from every side. But can he keep their relationship professional when he finds himself falling for the woman he’s supposed to be protecting?
Ivy’s attempt to assemble the broken pieces of her life may prove harder than she anticipated. Especially on her own. When the past intrudes on the present Ivy is forced to deal with why she ran from God in the first place and whether faith, once lost, can ever really be found again.

Enjoyed. Hard to put down
I loved this book. The story line was interesting and entertaining. I was routing for the heroine and afraid to put the book down.
I enjoyed reading this book.
Up to date read with the crime and espionage…male or female read…very realistic
I throughly enjoyed this book! It was hard to take a break from the action. It was also a lesson in God’s forgiveness and our need to trust in His forgiveness of our past. I have a new favorite author!
Very good Christian suspense
it was okay
Enjoyed the story and charters.
Did not finish – couldn’t get engaged in the plot.
When I started this book I thought it was going to be a sweet predictable story, but it had some twists that kept me interested.
Amazing book I didn’t want to put it down
Love that there is a bit of everything. Consequences for our actions, forgiveness. Loving God’s way.
Enjoyed it.
I found this book to be interesting and entertaining. The story was, for the most part, believable and consistent. The message of forgiveness was particularly inspirational and the truth was presented well.
I am a consummate editor, though, so I was tempted to rewrite sections and make corrections, “tweaking” the colloquialisms, etc.
This was an entertaining read. Despite the description, I would not call this an emotion packed novel. The FBI bits also did not entirely convince me of their realism, but the romance was cute.
