Jack Reacher races to solve the perfect crime in the fourth novel in Lee Child’s New York Times bestselling series. Across the country, women are being murdered, victims of a disciplined and clever killer who leaves no trace evidence, no fatal wounds, no signs of struggle, and no clues to an apparent motive. They are, truly, perfect crimes. In fact, there’s only one thing that links the victims. … one thing that links the victims. Each one of the women knew Jack Reacher—and it’s got him running blind.

Classic Reacher. He might be considered a modern day Robin Hood, but instead of money he deals out justice.
As usual, pieces of plot conveniently fall into place. but there are interesting twists and turns also.
Running Blind is Lee Child’s fourth book in the Jack Reacher series. A serial killer is murdering women across the US. The murders appear to be a series of perfect crimes with no clues and multiple methods of committing murder. The one common denominator is Reacher. All the victims ‘knew’ him. Reacher is charged by the NYPD and the FBI and oddly comes off as not the brightest bulb when he refuses an attorney because he didn’t commit the crimes. Eventually, Reacher clears himself and participates in the investigation. All that said, still an entertaining and enjoyable read.
I love all the Reacher books – I’ve read all but the very latest! Reacher is a fun and unique character but he isn’t realistic or complex. Also the stories can be too similar, but they sure do suck me in.
Great read by author Lee Child. I highly recommend any and all of his works.
* In a Jack Reacher book, Lee Child usually has you IN the story ! The first sentence, the first paragraph, or the first chapter by the very least. He has guaranteed that you will not lose interest ! NO fluff, no BS, no excessive word count padding, you are in the story, and there is no let up. You are transfixed the entire length !
Really enjoy the Jack Reacher series and this one was very compelling. We see a more personal side to Reacher in “Running Blind” which I enjoyed. Another quick read and intriguing plot! Thanks Lee Child!
I admit a bias, but all of the Reacher books by Lee Child entertain me. The crisp, direct writing keeps me turning pages. Best books yet to read while traveling as far as I am concerned.
I have read all the Jack Reacher series and love every book. I am now beginning to reread the series and was very happy to download this one at a reasonable price. Lee Child books never disappoint.
I’m a Jack Reacher fan. What can I say except I like this book
I have read every Jack Reacher book – all of them are excellent. I am anxiously awaiting the newest book coming out in early November.
Lee Child never wrote a bad book
Love Lee Childs and Reacher
Any Reacher book is great!
Intriguing. Made you want to figure out who did it and how.
Lee Child is one of my favorite authors and I would buy any book with Jack Reacher in it! Highly recommend every one of his books !
RUNNING BLIND by Lee Child is another adventure with badass Jack Reacher. Reacher calls in favors from his former military career to try to get ahead of a ‘serial’ killer before the body count continues.
No matter what Lee Child will write I will always read it. You do not have to read this series in order to enjoy each and every book in it.
It was very helpful to learn a few things about Reacher that become relevant in future books, like why he was able to do all the traveling without working.
The plot is pretty solid, and I very much enjoyed the relationship attempt that Reacher makes. I do like the way Lee Child avoids re-telling details in subsequent novels, making it so the reader feels that little nod from the author with regards to the intimate secrets from the past.
The long-winded descriptions make it great for listening to the books while taking a long drive, although every now and then it would be nice to just read “he entered the building” without having to know every detail of the architecture and landscape. If you like the vivid descriptions, Lee Child is a master.
Overall it’s a solid 4+ stars, and not 5 because I found myself saying, “No way Reacher does that” a couple of times.
Totally worth reading though and highly recommended.
I have read all the Jack Reacher books and have loved them all. Too bad there isn’t a real Jack Reacher.
Love all the Reacher books!
