Runaway Heir by Ruth Cardello is book 5 in the Westerly Billionaire Series. This is the story of Bryant and Ruth Cardello. I do feel this book can be a standalone book but some of the previous characters will be in this one.
Nicolette meets Bryant when she is at a wedding and she is smashed Bryant is the son of the Westerly’s enemy but he has a mutual friend Alessandro. Nicolette and Bryant share a kiss that night but even though Bryant would have like to take things further he knew she wasn’t in the condition to do so. Nicolette is at a loss of sorts trying to find her way around through the family. Bryant feels a connection of a loss sole.
I am such a fan of Ms. Cardello’s writing so for me this was a great read. Loved it!
A truly enjoyable read by Ruth Cardello. Nicolette doesn’t feel she belongs anywhere, and Bryant certainly doesn’t belong at Nicolette’s brother’s wedding. As a dire enemy of the Westerly family, Bryant is, unfortunately, living the sins of the father in the eyes of Nicolette’s grandmother. When Nicolette goes or runs away to a job in Iowa her life starts changing. Doing something good for others takes on a new meaning.
Nicolette’s and Bryant’s story is amazing. Two kindred spirits finding themselves and each other.
Another win from Ms. Cardello that will reel you in from the first page and not let go till it’s done. I highly recommend this story and the whole Westerly series!!
Nicolette turned out to be the spitfire I thought she would be. I liked her free spirit and how that lead her to Iowa. Her journey to find herself was really fun to read. I loved the small town and the wonderful people living there. Bryant was a man on a mission after meeting Nicolette. I enjoyed his determination to help Nicolette reconnect with her family and help save the town. He didn’t quite know what to do with all his new feelings, and it was entertaining to read him navigate it all. Delinda continues to be a force in this book, but she goes through a lot of growth in this one. I really loved how it all worked out.
The Westerlys have come together for the wedding of Eric and while at the wedding Nicolette Westerly feels less like a member of the family than she ever has before. She is longing to belong and doesn’t know if she wants answers to the secrets that are starting to come out surrounding her family. She escapes to a small town in Iowa in hopes of finding out who she really is.
When Bryant Taunton first laid eyes on Nicolette at the wedding he is drawn to her like no other. However, his family isn’t on the best of terms with the Westerlys. He doesn’t let that stop him in his quest to get to know Nicolette. There are a lot of issues with Nicolette and Bryant’s past to resolve before they can find their happy ever after.
I love getting to revisit this crazy, mixed up, dysfunctional family. Once again this author has come up with a fresh and new plot to tell Nicolette’s story. It is always fun to get a peek into what all the family members are up to who have already had their happy ever after. This story has so much heart, love and much laughter that this author is so famous for. I had many laugh out loud moments. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to the next one.
Runaway Heir is the fifth book in the Westerly Billionaires series but it is easily read standalone This is Nicolette’s story and I really enjoyed it. Nicolette is a bit of a lost soul. She’s the youngest of the dysfunctional Westerly clan and not at all sure of her place in the family. Bryant Taunton and his family have a very tenuous relationship with the Westerly’s so being drawn to Nicolette will surely lead to trouble. Turns out it is the best kind of trouble there is!
This book is very well done with great characters, an easy pace, and an interesting storyline. Definitely a book I would recommend.
Another amazing book within the Westerly Billionaire series. Runaway Heir is Nicolette’s story. She may seem to be running away from her family and name but by the end of this story you see more to her then that. Nicolette is misunderstood and only wants to know the love of her family. I love her for her strength she shows throughout. When you meet Bryant you know it’s just a matter of time. Bryant you will just fall in love with him. He is sweet and a fixer. He helps bring out the best in Nicolette even when she couldn’t see it herself. You feel their connection from the start. Such a wonderful read. Family fueds, finding love and saving a town is the name of the game in Runaway Heir. I really loved this one. Go one click this whole series when you get the chance.
Uplifting!! I have loved every story in this series but I think this is my favorite. This story was sweet and sexy, fun and heartwarming. I fell in love with the small town and how the towns people opened their hearts to Nicolette. Also, I loved Bryant’s outlook on life and always looking for the positive. Bryant and Nicolette are perfect for each other and I will be rereading this story again and again
For some unknown reason Ruth books seems to speak to me on a personal level like no other. The story of Nicolette not only hit home for me personally but my kids as well. This is a story I shared with my oldest two and after they finished we talked it out. Took a note from Bryant.
Alessandro, vision was spot on and helped heal everyone. Brought light to dark places. This goes on the self as one of my favorites for 2019. Storyline, comic relief, tearful truths… perfection like no other.
The last Westerly heart bites the dust and I have yet to reclaim my own. Runaway Heir is the sweetest ending to a breathtaking series. Even larger than life people are human too. We are not the sum of our mistakes, but the lessons we learn from them. Bryant is the best example of that. He may not be a Westerly, but he has the heart of one. This may have been Nicolette’s journey, but it was a non Westerly that captured my heart. The allure of Ruth Cardello is that her tales are a look into our souls. She forces us to see the beauty and the pain and teaches us something along the way. If that’s not SHOWSTOPPER, I don’t know what is.
Nicolette’s Story was a sweet one. Each of the Westerly grandchildren have such different personalities and Nicolette, being the youngest had always been outspoken and bold. But after family secrets were revealed in previous books within the series, she becomes withdrawn and sad.
Meeting Bryant was what she needed to find herself again. He’s familiar with and recognizes a kindred spirit in Nicolette, and what started out as a need to help her became more of a need to claim her. He was kind and understanding and always did things he knew would make her whole again. Even set up a meet with the family’s matriarch. He had a way of getting through to people and if he could get through to Delinda Westerly, he can get through to anyone.
It did take some time to connect with Nicolette, but when I did it was SO easy to fill her shoes and share in her hurt. Disappointment and a sense of abandonment were at her core and with a finesse only Bryant could deliver he brought light back into her life.
This was a beautiful story!
