When she is targeted by a violent stalker, equine therapist, Joscelyn Turner leaves town. It is difficult to report her stalker, who is a former patient, due to privacy laws. She stops in Flint River not planning to stay but feels safe for the first time in a long time. She is welcomed by the Stone family, Trent who is a charmer, his brother Cade a Marine suffering PTSD, Cade’s motherless daughter Sadie and their grandmother Mary who invites her to stay. As Joscelyn becomes involved in this small community, she spends time with younger teens who need counseling. She also tries to convince Cade to stop punishing himself for living while members of his team did not make it home. When acts of vandalism begin again, has her stalker found her? As her friendship for Cade slowly evolves into much stronger feelings, will she be able to stay or be on the run forever? A delightful mix of small-town life, romance and danger as Joscelyn tries to move on with her life. I found Joscelyn’s counseling lessons interesting and thought provoking. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
When Joscelyn runs from a stalker she winds up in a little town in Montana. Constantly vigilant, she attracts the attention of two men – Trent and his brother Cade. Living in a small town has its drawbacks, such as being railroaded into tasks beyond your job description, and its highlights. Joscelyn is slowly drawn to one brother over the other as she spends more time with the family. Her stalker is scary and plain evil. Lovely story

Enters Cade, Trent’s brother. More rugged, but just as handsome. But he’s nothing like his brother. Cade is a former Marine, who’s suffering from PTSD, and Joscelyn has made it her mission to help him so he can be there for his teenage daughter. u2063

The dialogue felt real, the characters were likable, fun, and everything flowed so beautifully. Nothing felt too drawn yet and yet you had the perfect visual of this town, the smells, the colors and really felt like you were IN the story.u2063
