What are YOU waiting for? Just buy this book and start reading. You will forget anything else that has to get done. I could not put this book down once I started reading it. Boone and Mack have such a great love story. I liked their story because it is a story everyone can’t relate to.
This book left me breathless and on the edge of my seat more than once! You go Leaona! I can’t wait for the next book!!!
This story could be titled “Mean girls and the guys who love them” at their very worst. Mackenzie and Boone had been childhood friends who became sweethearts, even though they came from entirely different backgrounds. She’s from the wrong side of town and he’s wealthy, but they don’t let that come between them until the bullies, disguised as friends, conspire to break them up. The boy who spread the lies becomes her boyfriend and that just doesn’t sit right with me. She believes the lies instead of Boone, and it becomes an impossibility for them to keep their love alive. Ten years later, they meet again, and it remains to be seen if it’s a little too late to repair the damage and realize that they are still in love. I became so frustrated with the angst that should have been overcome long ago that I almost didn’t want them to get together. It’s a good book, not great and, for those who like a lot of angst in their stories, read it!
Mackenzie and Boone’s love story was so riddled with pain and unspoken love. So much love and time wasted apart. I loved this story so much! Reed definitely got what was coming to him. The end was perfect. I recommend this book to everyone <3
Loved it. This is one of those books that makes you ask questions first before believing anything. Life is kind of messed up when the line between truth and a lie is misleading. I really felt for her because she really believed what was said about her and never once spoke up or explained why she felt that way. He was almost the same way. Two individuals that could not understand how badly words can hurt and heal at the same time. It is a matter if taking time to realize that some people don’t want to see you happy. If they did, you would not be on their radar.

I enjoyed reading Mackenzie and Boone’s story. Boone is completely swoon worthy! I’ll admit there were times I wanted to slap both characters and say what the heck are you doing!?! They both made amends for their transgressions. I also enjoyed seeing some of our old friends on Hwy 17.
Leaona Luxx never falls to give us an amazing story that you can’t put down because you are so caught up in.
Mackenzie and Boone are best friends but she’s the girl from the wrong side of the tracks and he’s the wealthy boy from a good family. They don’t care what people think they just want to spend time together however and wherever they can. Growing up neither can bring their selves to tell the other how they really feel and that just leads to so much heartache and doubt that it causes a fissure in the relationship that might never be mended.
This is one story where you will see bullying, gossip, jealousy, secrets and revenge will lead these two young people to make such horrible decisions that it leaves them both so broken that they will have to walk through hells fire to be together.
Will Mack be able to forgive and let go or will her stubbornness keep her and her secret away from the HEA they deserve?
Will Boone be able to convince Mack he loves her Always and get the family he’s always wanted with her?
Grab this book I promise you will not be able to put it down until you turn the last page.

Rumor Has It had me hooked from the start!

She’s from the wrong side of town and he’s the popular boy but their friendship was strong. When a misunderstanding sends Mackenzie in to the arms of Reed, someone Boone hates, it destroys their strong friendship. Will they get the chance to repair their friendship and the love they each have for one another? You’ll go on an emotional roller coaster as you read the story but it’s so worth it.

This story had me wanting to pull my hair out. Boone and Mackenzie have been best friends since forever until their feelings start to change which complicates things drastically. Mack always feels insecure like she’s not good enough for Boone. Making matters worse, Boone’s “friends”, the popular crowd, are always conspiring to break them apart which leads to many rumors, a lot of bullying and plenty of drama. Most of the angst is caused by their own fear of telling each other how they really feel.
This story had a lot of angst and frustrated the heck out of me. I was super mad at Mackenzie for what she did, especially knowing that the mean group was trying to break them up and she still let herself get duped. It’s almost like she didn’t know Boone after a lifetime of being best friends. I understand about insecurities but I thought Boone always treated her like a queen. He’s not completely blameless but my heart ached for him.
My biggest problem with the story was that the most essential question of the whole story, the one that was the downfall of their relationship, was glossed over. It was a mere mention at the end that I almost missed it. I re-read it a couple of times to make sure I got the results. Seeing as how this was THE burning question throughout the whole story and was basically the core of their problems, how can emphasis not be placed on it. Besides that, the angst in this story had me feeling all the feels.
Small towns are a hive of gossip and it’s what ultimately pulls Boone and Kenzie apart. We get to see the innocent friendship that blossoms into young love. When it all falls apart Kenzie runs and doesn’t come back until years later just as Boone makes an appearance. Some of Kenzie’s actions just didn’t make sense to me at all and just seemed to be done to draw out the drama.
Absolutely fell in love with Kenzie and Boone. I can relate to Kenzie in so many ways! I was Kenzie at one point or another. Towards the end of the books I really disliked her but I still understood why she thought the way she did. Her perception with herself is not something you can easily get rid of.
Boone is amazing. I wish there were more men out there like him. He loves with all his being! He is the EPITOME of the imperfectly perfect man.
Their love knew no bounds and their hearts followed one another. Leaona’s books and beautifully written words give me hope that there is someone out there for everyone. Flaw and imperfections, we all have someone that will love us like Boone loves Kenzie.
One thing that you can always count on when reading a Leaona Luxx book is that she brings family to the forefront. Now like almost every family, there will be yelling, crying hurt feelings but most of all love. Love always makes its way back around. Leaona likes to take her reader on a roller coaster ride mimicking the ups and downs in a relationship. Rumor Has It is no exception to this. There is also the one family member that you don’t want sitting down at your Christmas dinner table, cough cough Reed Thorton, cough cough.
An emotional second chance for Boone and Mackenzie. These two did not have it easy. But can they forgive each other and get their second chance? Or will Boone be unable to move on from the hurt? Loved this story!!
Get ready for an emotional angst filled ride !!! This one had it all….young love, friendship, lies,a family secret , revenge and misunderstandings. This was the full spectrum of emotions ! Oh Boone I could help but fall in love with him and the depth of emotion that he had for Mackenzie. Oh the lovely sweet naïve Makenzie I so wanted to jump in and hug her! What happens when the lies and secrets tear you apart but deep in your heart you know what you feel and it cannot be denied …..you wait ! I was cheering for them, crying over them and wanting to shake some common sense into their youngselves ! Buckle up it is going to get rough ride !!

I was given an arc of this book for an honest review. And honestly, I freakin loved it!. I love the small town second chance story. It had me hooked from the very first chapter. I have read several books by Leaona Luxx and this book, as with each and every one, did not disappoint. Boone and Mackenzie’s story gives you all the feels. I highly recommend this book
Mackenzie has always had feelings for her best friend Boone but it seemed like he never thought of her that way. Then a misunderstanding sends her into Reed’s arms someone Boone hates. The closeness between Boone and Mackenzie was destroyed by that misunderstanding however when he was about to leave town she couldn’t stay away. She went to say her good byes and they ended up mending things between them. They made promises and plans for the future yet life has a way of complicating things. Mackenzie makes a choice on her own without talking with Boone first and cuts all ties with him. Boone move on even though he has never forgotten her. Now years later they are both back in their hometown. Will they get their second chance at love? Can Boone forgive her for what she did?
This is a very emotional story about young love and hard choices. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
