If your ex arrives in your hometown eighteen months after you walked out on him while you were eight months pregnant, follow this short list of rules before you give him a second chance. Rule #1 – Don’t stand in the way of your brothers who want to rough him up.Rule #2 – Don’t meet him for coffee and agree to allow him to meet your daughter.Rule #3 – Don’t drool when your daughter falls asleep … your daughter falls asleep on his chest for the first time. It’s just your ovaries talking.
Rule #4 – Don’t let him hold your hand. While we’re at it, no hugs, no kisses on the cheek… just no physical contact in general. That only leads to remembering better times.
The last one is the most important…
Rule #5 – When you find yourself needing someone’s help and you’re tired of always asking your family, don’t let him be the one who’s there for you.
Because all those good qualities of his will suck you right back in and you’ll have no chance of fighting your feelings, especially now that he’s ready to be a father to your daughter.

This was a great ending to this series. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
I’ve been here for the Baileys since the beginning, and I can’t believe this is the last full-length book. I’m going to miss these characters! I liked Jamison more than I thought I would from what I’d seen of him in previous books; I actually liked Sedona less than expected, because her twin Phoenix was my favorite female Bailey, and she was the more prickly and hardheaded of the two.
I would have liked more exploring of Jamison’s “problem”, and how it impacted their lives. I also would have liked more insight into Sedona’s thoughts and feelings after they got back together. We saw her second guessing things, but then it was kind of swept under the rug, or just forgiven and forgotten. Since this was the last book, I wanted more of the Bailey siblings and their significant others. We barely saw Savannah, Juno, Brooklyn, etc.
Jamison ended up being an amazing father, and I absolutely adored seeing all of his moments with Palmer. As bad as it seemed for him to wait so long to come back around, it was a good call on his part; that way he was sure he’d be prepared to fight for his family. Overall this was a fantastic read. I called who the person writing Buzz Wheel was, and also who the baby daddy was for Sedona’s pregnancy at the beginning of the book.
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Sedona reminds the reader about a Bailey baby shower. If you’re starting the series here you might feel a little lost not having met this family before. Jamison isn’t sure how he’s going to reclaim what he has lost. At the beginning of this story, there’s no way that you will feel that there are any winners in this story.
I fell in love with this series the moment I met Grandma Dori. She may be a secondary character but she is the glue of this family. She’s given me plenty of chuckles as I get to know her and her family. Dori is the one person that hooked me and made it impossible for me to not look and see when the next book is coming out.
Our authors created another secondary character that made me fall in love just a little more. She’s a little girl with challenges but she doesn’t realize that she has any. She also has a great support system and you can feel the love come off the pages. I came to the point where I started looking for her as scenes went by.
Our authors also keep us up-to-date on the rest of the family. They’re very good in not letting the other characters take over the current story. The family is important to the storyline and we do get to hear their opinions but it’s still about Sedona and Jamison. It’s hard not to miss the heat they create when they’re in the same space. The ending left me with a smile on my face. I hope you are a reader that looks what’s beyond that point. You won’t be disappointed if you do because the authors have given the reader a little gift. If you’re loving this series like I do than maybe you did a happy dance too.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Sedona and Jamison’s second chance love story was written in a way that keeps you hooked. When Jamison gets injured and his career is over he turns away from Sedona and her help and starts to spiral no matter how much she tries and even though it’s the hardest thing she’s done she chooses to walk away but now Jamison’s back and ready to fight tooth and nail for his family. I didn’t like how Jamison handled his injury but I loved how hard he worked to redeem himself.
I absolutely loved this story. And I’m in awe of Piper Rayne and their ability to take a family of 9 children and give them each their own story of finding love and making each one sound so unique.
Sedona being the last family members to find her HEA was not only long awaited but also quite different from what’s come before. She’s one of the two Bailey siblings who found their love at a young age. But unlike her brother Kingston’s situation, Sedona and Jamieson had history actually being together before it all went wrong. Their road back together was hard fought and so worth it. Added to their second chance romance was the child they have together. The whole thing was just so well written and perfectly wrapped up the series.
I also got a very brief glimpse of what’s to come for the next family series. Ethel and Grandma D will be up to their hijinx again but it’s always comical and worth looking forward to.

From the first book, I was hooked on this amazing family. I was fascinated about how a family that had such a heartbreaking loss could still grow despite the major setback that they had. Not only did they grow from that setback but they managed to excel. The love that these siblings have is out of this world. Even though I know this series is in Kindle Unlimited, I preorder any and all books that have to do with this family, including novellas, because that is how amazing they all are. Each book has a sighting of all the family members and shows how tight-knit the family is.
There is a sense of unity, camaraderie, love, and acceptance with each sibling along with a whole lot of banter. Even when things take on a heavier tone, it doesn’t last long because nothing can keep these characters down. That was apparent in this book. The last book left off on the fact that Sedona was pregnant when Jamison came back into hers and Palmer’s life. This was a shock, especially, because I wondered how the author was going to spin this since it was well-known that the new baby wouldn’t be his. Finding out the answers to that was such a treat. It truly was one of my favorite parts of this entire series. I also loved how hands-on, literally, Jamison was with Palmer. Actually, how amazing the whole family was with Palmer which showed how they again were unified in not letting anything stand in the way of them being successful or having a huge support system. All of those scenes, and seeing how devoted Jamison was in righting his wrongs made this my favorite book.
My only complaint with the book had to do with Phoenix. I wanted to see the acceptance of Jamison again. It bothered me that their last scene was around an “anonymous” character. However, that disappointment didn’t last long when I did get to see what was in store for more Alaska. I laughed and laughed at the Buzz Wheel secret. I cannot wait to see what happens next. I also loved the flash forward bonus scene that I was able to read after finishing this book. It is always bittersweet to see a series end, especially, one of this caliber. However, since I own all of these, I know I can come back and visit them over and over in order to get my Bailey fix.
OMG.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it forever, these Baileys are everything! This book is so bittersweet. I have been waiting for Sedona’s story after all the teasings we’ve had along the way but I was not ready for this series to be over. I knew that once I picked up this story, I wouldn’t be able to focus on anything else and I’d completely devour it. Devour it, I did!
Jamison and Sedona are true soulmates and while their road has not been an easy one, things have finally settled to perhaps give them a second chance. I absolutely loved their story and their little girl, Palmer was such a cute addition with great disability representation!
If you’ve been around since the beginning, you will finally get an answer that we’ve all been waiting for. I was happy to have my suspicion confirmed! Please read this entire series! I am so glad we get one more novella featuring my favorite family before having to say “see you until the next reread.”
While I will miss Lake Starlight dearly, I am beyond thrilled that we are getting another series based in Alaska! We are introduced very briefly to some of the Greene family in this book and I can’t wait to see what the meddlesome grandmas have up their sleeves for a whole new set of grandchildren!
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
When reading the epologue of Kingstons and Stella’s story I almost had an heart attack, what an ending!!!! The excitement was almost too much!
Then Came Sedona’s and Jamisons book and I just loved it. Speaking of everlasting love that survives everything. And how cute is Palmer
My favorite sentence in this book is one by Sedona: “His declaration makes me want to slap a sold sticker on him….”
A wonderfully wrsitten book again by authors Piper and Rayne. And in the end of this book the biggest secret of all is revealed, and NOPE I am not going to spoil, you will have to read it to find out!!!
Another 5 star read by these authors.

The final Bailey sibling’s story is here, and it is bittersweet. Over the past year and a half, the Baileys have easily become one of my top 5 favorite fictional families. I have laughed and cried with them, had my heart broken, grieved with them, and celebrated their joys.
Rules For Dating Your Ex is a sweet, second chance romance that brings an end to a much loved series.
Sedona and Jamison are really sweet together, and I was happy to see them finally get their story and their HEA. It is obvious that these two are meant to be together.
Though I really enjoyed RFDYE, I was left wanting a little bit more – I think because there is so much history with these two, I was hoping to see more flashback of them together (similar to Colton and Juno’s story) before everything went wrong.
Overall, I loved seeing all of the Bailey siblings and getting a taste of what’s to come with Ethel’s grandchildren! Definitely looking forward to more Ethel and Dori, but sad to say goodbye to one of my favorite fictional families!
Rules for Dating your Ex is the ninth book in The Baileys, I’ve only read one previous book in this series and I really need to go back and read the other books because The Baileys are the funniest family EVER! Piper Rayne’s cast of characters is fantastic in this series, the banter between siblings, friends and significant others is amazing and I couldn’t get enough of it!
I don’t want to spoil the story, so all I can say is that I really enjoyed this second chance romance. I was worried that I wouldn’t care much about Jamieson but I loved him! His sexy accent, his relationship with his daughter, how he owned his mistakes and the way he was so, so, so sweet with Sedona won me over. I loved Sedona too, she was an amazing mom and truly an amazing sister with a heart of gold. Their daughter was the sweetest little girl and I pretty much loved every moment between her and Jamieson. The other Baileys as secondary characters provided many hilarious moments, especially their grandmother, and I was so entertained by their antics. I think the story evolved a little too fast at a certain point in the book, which made me wish we had a little more time with Sedona, Jamieson and their daughter as a family. I’m hoping we’ll be seeing more of the Baileys in another new series that was hinted in the end of this book. Overall, a very entertaining, sweet second chance romance.
A fantastic story to end the series, Rules for Dating Your Ex summed up the series with a laugh, family and love. The second chance romance between Sedona and Jamieson was a lot less angsty or emotional than I expected. Even tough this book touch on a heavy subject, it still left me with all the warm and fluffy feelings at the end. One of my favorite part of the book was to see the devotion and camaraderie the Baileys shared. They were in each other’s life and always had each other’s back at times of need without questions.
It’s sad to say goodbye to the Baileys. We have grown so much together after nine books. It was such an honor to see each of the siblings find their happily ever after. Luckily Piper Rayne is not ready to leave Alaska yet and we might see or hear about the Baileys in their new series. If you love small town romances that give you all the warm and fluff, don’t miss out on The Baileys series.
I volunteered to provide an honest review of an advance complimentary copy of this book.
I really enjoyed this book! It was a quick read that grabbed my attention form the very beginning! I have only read this book and the book before in this series and want to read the others! The books can be read as standalones but I think I would of enjoyed the whole family dynamic a bit more of I’ve read the books in order! I love small town family driven series and this one doesn’t disappoint! I would definitely recommend this book!
Received an arc for a honest review.
Rules for Dating Your Ex is bittersweet for me. I have loved every couple in this series and sad that it has come to an end but Sedona’s story is the perfect ending for The Baileys series. Piper Rayne always delivers a heartwarming story full of chemistry, laughs, and a few surprises I did not see coming. I wasn’t sure how Jamison was going to redeem himself, but Piper Rayne always manages to pull it off. Also, we finally find out whose behind Buzz Wheel.
Wow! What an amazing “end” to The Baileys. I’ve been so excited for Sedona’s book and I devoured it because it was amazing but I’m wishing I’d went a little slower because now there aren’t any more Bailey siblings. LOL!
Sedona has been the sibling that we heard the last about for the longest timeframe. Of course when the series started, she was younger. Then she went off to NYC and Jamison showed up which she knew from a previous book. I was so thrilled to see them together and then we got a shocker in the past book of Sedona coming home pregnant. Of course in Kingston’s book, we see that Jamison comes back to Alaska and what a timeframe to walk in on.
For me, I didn’t want to like Jamison after the way he handled Sedona’s pregnancy but he easily won me over. You could tell that he had changed and I was rooting for him the whole time. Then of course there’s his relationship with Palmer and that just melted my heart. I loved his love for Sedona though. I had a few favorite quotes that I’ll just say they really won me over and had me swooning.
I loved the ending of the book and getting to see the insight into The Greenes, Ethel’s grandchilren. I can’t wait for that series and seeing what Dori & Ethel pull there. I also loved the bonus epilogue.
What an amazing book and what an amazing, amazing series!
Book 9 in The Baileys series, I can’t believe we have reached the end and Sedona’s story has been one of my most anticipated. One of the things that I loved a lot about how this series was written was the little teasers into the stories to come. We’ve known about Sedona and Jamison since the very beginning, years have gone by and they’re adults now. They’ve been through a lot together since they first met in high school, but there’s a lot of heartbreak as well. I’ve been so eager to learn about what happened between them and it’s finally here.
Well, I was not expecting to have my heart ripped open multiple times. With Sedona being a single mother, all her time is dedicated to her amazing-beautiful daughter, Palmer. And now that she’s pregnant again, there’s a lot of questions brewing especially in Jamison’s head.
The love is soooo deeply rooted between these two and even though Jamison put Sedona throw soooooo much, her love for him never faded. Jamison is back and he’s healthy and ready to fight for his family. And I wasn’t expecting that journey to bring so much pain. You can see that he’s trying soooo hard, but it’s hard to see the light of a situation when everyone is just against you. Yeah, he screwed up big time, but I was rooting for him.
Loved their story soooo much and I’m completely happy with everyone’s story. Even though this series has come to an end, I hope we get to see more of the Baileys in the future.

4 stars!
I can hardly believe we have come to the end. What an incredible journey it has been and oh is it bittersweet. Sedona is the 9th Bailey sibling to get her HEA and what a story it is. Of all the Bailey’s Sedona is the one we know the least about. She has been living in NYC and we had seen her the least out of all the siblings in previous books.
Jamison is the love of Sedona’s life. They were high school sweethearts and he was a foreign exchange student from Scotland. He is now a professional soccer player but he made some mistakes, lost his way and end up breaking her heart. I really felt for Sedona having to make the tough choice to leave Jamison as it is what is best for her and her unborn child. She is strong and resilient and of course has an incredibly supportive family to help her get through this tough time. Jamison has an addiction to alcohol. I really had a hard time with some of his decisions initially but at the same time I commended him for doing what he needed to do to better himself to be the father he knows his daughter deserves.
Sedona and Jamison are truly meant to be. Despite their hardships their love was never in question nor did it go away. These two have a strong connection and their chemistry was off the charts.
I really enjoyed this second chance love story. Piper Rayne have created such a wonderful story. This portrays a beautiful message of second chances, hope, redemption and happiness and I adored it. We also finally get to know who is behind the Buzz Wheel FINALLY!
Piper Rayne are incredible at telling stories. This series and this family is one of my favourites ever and I really hope we get some appearances from them in futures books to come.

A beautiful second chance romance. It’s hard to see this series has come to an end and all the nine Bailey siblings have found their HEA . This is Sedona and Jamison story . It was not an easy journey for them. Jamison is a foreign exchange student and a soccer player when his gaming career ends he spirals down & it also impacts his relationship with Sedona . The story was absolutely heartwarming and at time emotional. It was hard to say adios to the Bailey. Definitely a must read series and reread worthy .
One of the best family series has come to an end! Rules for Dating Your Ex is the final book in the Bailey’s series and what an end it was! Jamison and Sedona’s story was one of redemption and an unconditional love that brought them back to each other after so much heartbreak. The pain and anger in this story broke my heart but as always, Piper Rayne put my heart back together. I loved everything about this story!
I’ve been waiting for Sedona’s story since book one and it was definitely worth the wait.
I’m a huge fan of the Bailey series and one of the things I love the most is how much they’ll all into each other’s lives…except Sedona. Sedona’s a bit of a dark horse for me, I went into her story knowing very little about her. She’s been living her life and then suddenly she’s back, pregnant and alone. Eighteen months later Jamison has finally got his act together and realised what he’s lost and he’s determined to start righting the mistakes he’s made. I’m probably in the minority in that I didn’t dislike Jamison from the start. I had faith in Piper Rayne to turn him into the man Sedona and their little girl deserved and to give me the chance to see the man she originally fell for.
This was a great read. I loved Sedona and Jamisons story. They share a past and whether they like it or not they’re going to have to share the future and I loved how they both tried to make their situation work. The best thing for me though is that I finally got answers to the one question that’s bugged me since the start of this series. I definitely recommend these books, I can’t wait for more from Piper Rayne.
I’ve said once and I’ll say a million times, this book is so bittersweet. The little teasers to Sedona’s book the authors gave us in previously books let me super excited to read this, but at the same time, it’s the last full novel about the Baileys siblings and I’m not ok! Piper and Rayne left the best for last and this book left me utterly emotional and showed us why this family is so amazing, they protect and would do anything for one another.
After 18 months without any word, Jamison is back in Lake Starlight to win his family back after he lost them to alcoholism. But that’s not so easy. As grandma Dori said, it was easy for him to win Palmer, his amazing little daughter, because she wanted a father in her life, but the difficult would be Sedona.
Sedona’s feelings left me raw, she had so many insecurities and doubts inside of her, because of Jamison. She never felt like she was his priority, at first with soccer and the to alcohol. But even with everything, she was an amazing mom and raise little Palmer with so much love, even more with her deaf diagnosis. I loved how all of her family came to support her with everything.
At the beginning I wanted Jamison to suffer, but as the story progressed I could see that he already did and I also learned that their love story is EPIC. And within every page my love for them only grew. They were so broken apart, but together, after facing a lot of difficulties, they complete one another. Also loved that he had to work to win her back and she didn’t give up so easily.
What a brilliant end for this family. With this book my love for Kingston, Calista, Phoenix and Grandma Dori increased 10 folds. This is definitely my favorite book of the series, it’s awesome and also gave little flashes of what’s going on with each sibling. But now I’ll open my heart for the Greene family and I already loved the little snippets of them.
Piper Rayne nailed it once again with another amazing Bailey story! Mark my words..Rules for Dating Your Ex will make you melt and swoon instantly from all the beautiful feels! This series is the best small town romance series ever, without a doubt.
Sedona’s story is the last story in this series and well I am sad. I already miss them and their new kids! And this ending came with surprises and promise of a new beginning. Sedona has been taking care of her daughter Palmer for last eighteen months. She left her boyfrie ex celebrity soccer player and alcohol addict Jamison in New York. But he has dragged himself out of the pit of depression and addiction. And he is in Lake Starlight. Can Sedona trust the guy who hurt and abandoned her? Can Jamison win back his kid and love of his life?
Obviously I didn’t like Jamison a lot a beginning. Who can be a fan of a man who lost himself in bottom of a bottle after losing his career in an untimely injury? But he was a good guy once and wow didn’t he prove that unequivocally! I am a sucker for Irish men. Just the accent is enough. My heart cried for his struggle after his dreams shattered and I am proud of his recovery. It took a whole lot of determination and strength to do it all alone as everyone moved away. He is a real man who did the best for Sedona even if it broke him. He is a responsible and caring and protective and doting father. And his moments with Palmer was pure ovary-exploding material. Sedona is amazing. She has a soft and loving heart. And her pain and devastation about Jamison’s behaviour was heartbreaking. They had to work through a lot of mistrust and misunderstanding and awkwardness. But they are soulmates since forever. They have this electrifying chemistry that just burns through the pages. They have this epic once-in-a-lifetime kind of love that you will feel in your bones. Palmer is the extra strong binding ..I love this adorable cute girl ! Of course Grandma Dori and whole Bailey clan meddled like it’s nothing. It was their last hoorah after all. Also I finally finally got to know WHO IS BUZZ WHEEL! ( I always suspected…)
Rules of Dating Your Ex by Piper Rayne is all about the steamy, sweet and swoonworthy goodness that made the Baileys one of my all time favourite series. The emotions pull me in. The characters make me feel like they are my own family. And the writing is flawless.
