Rule; The Finale (Black Hearts Still Beat #3) by LA Cotton is the wrap of Eva and Rafe’s story. And it is not all hearts and flowers for these two. Ms. Cotton has taken us down a path of finding their footing, what family really is, rock and roll with country, and some little bit of something else. This story is a three-book series and should be read in order. They are not standalones.
Rule is picked up right where book 2 is left off. And without giving anything away, we are taken on this emotional journey of just not Rafe and Eva but the band collectively as a whole. Don’t get me wrong, not the individuals of the band, I need those stories too! but the band as a whole. The ups and downs of rockstar living and being out on the road add in some changeups makes this story a great story to read.
As these stories are quick reads, they are wonderful reads and I can’t wait for Levi and the rest of the bands stories to come out.
Sexy, Emotive & Full Of Love!!
Rule: The Finale (Black Hearts Still Beat #3)
We return exactly where book #2 left off. Rafe has arrived to tell Eva he loves her, no matter what!! Her parents aren’t amused but he convinces them he’s sincere. They then agree to head back to the tour the next day to face the consequences of them both abandoning the tour & hurting their friends & family!!
Things are extremely tense between Rafe & Levi. Eva fears she has come between the brother’s, unintentionally. Riley continues to be an issue for Eva, she goes too far in front of the BHSB Boy’s though & they all have Eva’s back! The band are putting on shows that are better than ever, Levi is shockingly calm & Rafe & Eva oozing love & happiness and her star is rising – what could go wrong?
This was messy, gripping, sweet, romantic, steamy & full of all the feels! I highly recommend it. I’ve already pre-ordered Levi’s book Ruin.

Rafe has a choice to make between Eva and his brother and band. Eva wants the chance to show Rafe that she can be a solution to the bands and brothers problems. Levi is falling into trouble and Rafe wants to be there for him. Rafe and Eva have come so far, can they stay together through more? A great read, now there needs to be a happy story for Levi.

What an ending to the Black Hearts Still Beat Series! L.A. Cotton penned another amazing book with Rule: The Finale. It completed this trilogy perfectly. I couldn’t get enough of Eva and Rafe, as well as the rest of the Black Hearts. I highly suggest reading this book and series, you won’t regret it.
Rule: The Finale by L.A. Cotton is an EPIC rock star romance and will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
Rise(Book 2) left off with our lovebirds reconnecting and the band, Black Hearts Still Beat in shambles.
In this book, decisions are made, lines are drawn, and now Rafe & Eva must face the world together. Changes are coming to the boys of Black Hearts Still Beat and the main struggle here is everyone finding a new rhythm.
The love between Rafe and Eva really shines in this book. They’re just so damn sweet and Rafe is as swoony as ever!
While I love this author’s writing and the way she packs in ALL the FEELS, there wasn’t much that actually happened in this book. For it being a finale, it felt like it was mostly building things up for what’s to come in Levi’s book (which I AM super excited for because Levi has been a favorite of mine from that first scene between him & Eva, I have a soft spot for tortured heroes). I was looking forward to a few blow ups that have been building throughout the last two books but the conflicts just kind of fizzled out and it left me feeling disappointed.
Overall, A little anticlimactic but I’m happy to read anything involving these BHSB Rockstars and adore Rafe & Eva as a couple. I’m still hoping Hudson & Molly get their HEA though!
I DEVOURED Rafe and Eva’s story! I loved this series since the beginning and I was on edge waiting for Rule after reading the end of book 2. Rule starts off with Rafe showing up at Eva’s house after she left the tour. Eva’s parents are not thrilled to have Rafe at their house after he broke their little girls heart, but I love how you see Rafe redeem himself throughout this book. This book made me fall in love again with Rafe and Eva and the Black Hearts and I am anxiously waiting for Levi’s story.
Wow! I cannot believe it is the over… that my tour with Rafe and Eva has ended.
This trilogy was really good adventure and definetelly books, which are worth to read – mark my words here. I’m not big fan of duets or trilogies, but this author with Black Hearts Still Beats sucked me into THIS from the begining after reading few paiges.
Rafe and Eva didn’t have easy love love story. Their life was full of ups and downs, with really big dose of drama… BUT watching how the managed all the problems, how they survive veryu possible thunderstorms in the backround made my hert sing. This 3rd book in series was an epic conclusion, which left me breathless. I fall in love with Rafe in the book no1, and love him even more. I loved how strong relationship he made with Eva. Maybe Rule has a little less angst that the previous parts BUT it still an amazing story, that is worth every readers time.
Grab Your copy Guys – I’m sure You will love this book!
I love this series! It might be my favorite out of all of Cotton’s books, and that’s saying a lot. I’m not a fanatic of the rockstar trope, but this series stole my heart. I would love to see this series on the big screen. Eva and Rafe mend their hearts and are allowed to let their love grow. There are no more secrets between Eva and Rafe. I don’t know how to tell you about this book without spoiling it for others. So, the best way I can sum up what I enjoyed about Rule is I could not get enough of the interactions between Eva and Rafe and how Eva still handles the band. I also loved how awesome the development of friendships become, the bantering, getting rid of the drama, and giving hope of the future. My only qualm is that I wish the book were longer; I wanted to read about the detailed conversations that happened behind closed doors. I wanted to be inside all the bandmates’ heads, especially when they lashed out at Eva. Although this is saying good-bye to the insights of Eva and Rafe’s thoughts, I can’t wait for the continuation of the series with the other bandmates. Levi is next, and I want in his head so badly!

Rule: The Finale is the conclusion of Eva and Rafe’s story. This trilogy was an amazing rockstar meets country girl romance. The journey to their hea has its ups and downs but in the end my heart was feeling full and content. L.A Cotton delivers another exceptional read.
“Rafe was the sun. I gravitated to his orbit, all too willing to burn if it meant I could get closer.”
I LOVE Rafe and Eva. Their story has taken me on an angst-filled roller coaster ride that has taken me on so many twists and turns. There were so many ups and downs, lows and highs.
I say this every time but I am not a fan of rockstar romance. It kind of all tells the same story to me with the drugs, sex, and rock and roll.. BUT, I love this series. Lianne has created a world that I love.
I’m excited to see where Lianne takes this story. I’m ready to dive into the other band mates stories. I want to know what makes them tick, what skeletons they have in their closets, and what women are going to bring them to their knees.
“I wanted to chase his demons away.”
Rule: The Finale is just that – the final book in Rafe & Eva’s story and all 3 books must be read in order.
Ever since the very first book, I have been completely addicted to the Black Hearts Still Beat series and while I’ve been dying for this book to finally release it was definitely bittersweet. This has been such an unexpected series, the perfect mix of sweet, sexy & angst. I’ve devoured each book and become so immersed in Rafe & Eva’s story, as well as the rest of the Black Hearts crew.
I love how much these characters have grown. and Rule showcases just how far Eva has come into her own. The relationship between Rafe & Eva takes center stage in this book, and while I love them I do wish there was a little more exploration of all the other relationships.
I really enjoyed this finale, but I do feel it was wrapped up a little too perfectly. Not to say everything went smoothly and was resolved, but I was definitely expecting a little more angst and a rockier ending. The epilogue definitely answered one of my questions/wishes, and I definitely can’t wait to see what’s next!
An amazing finale to this trilogy, definitely Eva and Rafe’s story is one I enjoyed immensely, one I will recommend to all of those who like rockstar romance stories. The struggles and emotions portrayed throughout the story had me reading from page one until the very last. The love triangle that started gets better and better, but not in the way you think, these two brothers will have you intrigued. The audiobooks are fantastic as well, so I recommend those as well.
Ladies and Gentleman The Finale is here
I‘ve been waiting for this one after the cliffhanger from book 2. The Finale for Eva and Rafe was pretty good but sadly a little to sweet for me. I expected another showdown between Levi and Rafe where they make up afterwards or something. Just anything to make it a little bit more I don‘t know angsty in regard of the brothers.
Other than that the story war sweet and I loved every bit of it. It felt more like a set up book for Levi then a finale for Rafe and Eva. Which honestly isn‘t so bad because I‘m sooo excited to finally read from Levi‘s perspective and see what‘s going on in his head.
Also Hunter and Molly. Do we get a book for those two or will we see some stuff in Levi‘s book. I already can‘t wait for the next one.
Rafe and Eva are obviously perfect for eachother. Their „ending“ was pure and sweet. This finale was a fun read and it sums up Rafe and Eva.

The long anticipated conclusion to Eva & Rafe is finally here!
BHSB grabbed my attention from the first notes, and held it tightly. And here we are.
Things I loved: the gooey love between the two, finally seeing some resolution for the couple, and the buildup for what happens next.
Things I didn’t really care for: the book kind of felt more like a prequel for Levi’s story, as opposed to a conclusion for the existing couple, nothing really major happened that made me feel like they needed the 3rd book, instead it kind of felt a little dragged.
Overall, I do love this rock world that Cotton has created, and am very curious about what happens next for the band.
Life of a rock star isn’t always glory days, comes with lots of drama & angsty days .Rafe has changed quite a bit since the first book. Eva is embracing the road of celebrity. One constant in the series is Eva is the glue that was needed in the band. Little by little the guys in the band are growing up.
Rule is book 3 in the Black Hearts Still Beat series by L.A. Cotton and we’re finally getting to the ending of Rafe and Eva, something we have been waiting for what feels like forever. After the cliff-hanger of book 2, we see how the relationship has developed between the two main characters with the complications of being famous, secrets coming to light and Rafe’s brother, Levi making life more difficult for everyone.
Rafe and Eva have grown up throughout the first two books and in this book, we see the steely determination that both have to put each other first, ahead of fame and other people trying to sabotage their relationship. Eva for me is a classically strong character, after enduring what she has throughout her short life, we see her determined to succeed and also help both Rafe and Levi become the people she knows they can be. Although I think there are moments of frustration on her behalf especially when we see Rafe do things which sabotage their relationship. He has been the sole carer for his brother for such a long time and is now having to allow him to stand on his own two feet.
We see into the life of those whose sole job is to entertain and how exhausting and mentally draining that can be, forever being on the road and having no real home for months at a time. L.A. Cotton is really good at reeling us as a reader into the complexities of her character’s lives and how it can be hard and exhausting.
The rest of the band including Levi make an appearance and give this book a feel-good factor to it, as well as some angst and drama thrown in for good measure and entertainment value. I can’t wait to read more about other members of the band and their road ahead…because we all know it’s not going to be a smooth one.
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review

The conclusion to Eva and Rafe’s story is one not only about their relationship but also the one surrounding the band and the relationship with Levi. A story that is not necessarily high on angst, which my heart was thankful for, but one of heat, romance and love. A sweet ending for this couple that has Rafe finally placing himself first before the band to give him what his heart craves, Eva. Rule is one of ups and downs, confrontations and finally finding your home. This final book for this couple gave me the sweet ending that I needed, it gave me the rush, the rise and finally the rule of always putting your heart first. Even though it was the ending of their journey this story gives us the lead in and the anticipation to what will be an encore performance starring Levi.
Finally the Finale is here!! When you want a book as bad as I did want this book, it feels like it takes forever to be published. It wasn’t that long in real life, let’s be honest but after LA left us again with a major cliffhanger in book 2, the excitement was high.
And she did not leave us hanging!!!
I’m not doing a play by play of the book now, there are other reviews out there who do this. Just let me say this book has its highs and lows, twists and turns, and you never know what to expect. I definitely recommend this series, now is the best time to binge read all 3 books
I really love this series, and I can’t wait for Levi’s book
Right we are right back into this story from the first page. It’s clear that Rafe has chosen a “side” if that’s what you want to call it but for him, there isn’t a side to chose. He loves Eva, the band and his brother. And for me, I think he is right to want it all.
Now it’s not all plain sailing for this group of broken people. Let be fair that’s completely what they all are. Even Eva is broken and as different people enter the world of this band of the broken-hearted. They come with their own demons.
These books are hard in places to read and although Rafe and Eva’s story is over, it really isn’t. We were left with a cliffy that will keep us guessing as to where this will all go. I mean yes Rafe and Eva are together but what will happen after Levi again makes wrong choices, gets betrayed again, and throws all of their worlds into chaos.
My heart broke in this book. For them all. But for me, Levi seems to be the one that is truly broken and in need of help and I am praying that Phoebe is the angel that he has been waiting for.
But I guess we have to wait for Ruin.
I really do recommend this book and series to date. It was a great, enjoyable read that left my heart heavy but happy if that at all possible. I look forward to Ruin and what it will bring and mean to the continuing story.

This series is near and dear to my heart. I relate to a character so much, and have loved every book. But THIS BOOK… RULE… is above and beyond my favorite one!!!
Rafe and Eva are my people. I loved watching their relationship grow. With all it’s ups and downs, because of outside forces or because of insecurities from their background, they never stop loving each other. Both of their love for music just deepened their love more and more.
I love Rocker Romance, but especially those that focus on the music a lot, as well as the romance. This series has the perfect balance!!!
Rafe is my boy, he’s my favorite of the guys in the band. Next comes Levi, Rafe’s brother. I love the broody, troubled, broken boys… and these Black Hearts boys are all that and some. I am really excited to read Levi’s story next!!!
