“Eva was it for me. My salvation.” – Rafe Hunter
GAH! I love Rafe and Eva’s resilience and intensity in Rule: The Finale (Black Hearts Still Beat Book 3). For a boy who never had the love and nurture needed, Eva sparks in him the desire for more. Eva’s love shows Rafe that he is worthy of love and so much more! And Rafe’s draw and commitment, gives Eva the strength to believe in herself and talent. Finally, music holds their future with answers, along side the band—their chosen family—grows stronger than ever.
“I was lost and you anchored me.” – Eva Walker
Overall, I did not want Rafe and Eva’s book to end. I look forward to seeing them in additional novels in the series. Levi’s story continues in Ruin: the Reprise.
“One day, in the future, I’m going to make you mine in every way possible.” – Rafe Hunter

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
A fantastic ending to what has been an emotional series. Rafe and Eva have had some huge problems but him following her home helped quite a bit. The ride after that will not remotely be smooth though as the go back on tour with the band. Shows huge character growth and I loved how everything was handled making it all flow quite smoothly as the story progressed answering all of our questions. A must read for fans of the first two and new readers alike. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
“Rafe was the sun. I gravitated to his orbit, all too willing to burn if it meant I could get closer.”
This ending was better than what I was wishing for.
Finally Eve and Rafe got the happy ending they deserved.
This journey was filled with passion, angst and so much more!
“She’s just a lost girl, drowning in space.
Nowhere to run, nowhere to go.
All she needs is an anchor, someone to reach out and pull…”
I don’t even know how to describe the emotions that this story gave me.
I’m still on this amazing rollercoaster of emotions that I hope will never end.
The chemistry, the passion all mixed up with a good amount of rock and roll made this story just too explosive !
“This beautiful broken boy, the boy who had stolen my heart, was here.
He’d come for me.”
I gave it absolutely 5 stars
I hope you’ll enjoy it like I did
Levi I’m coming for you!
I loved the conclusion to Eva and Rafe’s love story! And what a journey we have been on I have been routing for Eva and Rafe from the very beginning and am so glad they got there in the end. There were definitely ups and downs along the way! I love this series and the dynamic between Eva, Rafe and Levi. It is so beautifully written. The ending of the book leads us nicely into Levi’s book. Which with that ending I can’t wait! I can’t wait for other stories from this world . #evaandrafe #levi
In this book we see the aftermath of the decisions of Ava and Rafe choice. This book truly blew me away. I love Rafe and Ava’s love story so much and this book was a perfect finale for them. I love all these characters and I can’t wait for Levi’s story and I hope he finally finds his peace
Rule is book three in the Black Hearts Still Beat series and the finale to the Eva and Rafe trilogy. I loved this story is so much. From the very beginning it tugs on the heartstrings and at the same time had me so happy, excited, and nervous for these two. And that was just in the opening. As things progressed so did the tension between the band and issues with fans and betrayal on their team. It all just came one after another and had me flipping through the Kindle pages in a rush to see what was coming next.
I was so happy that Rafe made the choice he did. And while I personally didn’t love how much crap Eva was given for her initial choice at the end of book two, it wasn’t exactly a book ruiner. I just didn’t feel she had the support she needed to feel comfortable making a different choice and no one ever pointed that out. Either way, after every thing was said and done I truly enjoyed this story. It was the kind that once you start you should be prepared to lose your whole day to it. Because you’re not going to want to stop until the last word has been read.
But then of course I learned about Levi’s book. And while I have thoughts and ideas of what may come or what I want to happen, I am just excited to get my hands on it. So far this has been a must read series and I hope to see not only Levi, but also Damon and Hudson get their own books too.
Rule: The Finale by L.A. Cotton is a Rockstar romance. This is the third book in the Black Hearts Still Beat series and is the final book for Eva and Rafe’s story.
All I can say is WOW! Lianne did an amazing job wrapping up Eva and Rafe’s story. I know we will be seeing more of them as the series continues so I can’t wait.
The book does end on a cliffhanger, but that wasn’t much of surprise since it’s setting up Levi’s book Ruin which will be released on November 17, 2020.
I would highly recommend this series if you love Rockstar Romances.
While this might be the end of the Rafe and Eva storyline, this for sure isn’t the end for Black Hearts Still Beats. After the way things left off in Rise, Rafe and Eva both had some decisions to make. So did Levi. For the most past this was the least angsty book in the series so far, but I have a feeling there are still MANY twists and turns to come. I’m excited to finally get into Levi’s head and goodness only knows what’s coming his way. I volunteered to read and review a complimentary copy of this. All opinions are my own.
Book: Black Hearts Still Beat: Eva and Rafe’s Trilogy
Author: L. A. Cotton
Rating: 4/5 beating stars
I believe that L.A. Cotton did a fantastic job with Eva and Rafe’s love story. I’ve been following this series since it was announced last year and I’ve been reading each book release religiously.
She captured my attention and I was completely immersed in this series. I was so happy to read the bonus content and I’m so freaking excited to read Levi, Hudson, and Damon’s books.
Hope you like my review, remember reading and enjoying stories it’s in the eye of the beholder. Be kind

~~TOP 10 RECOMMENDED~~
There are no words to describe the third book in this series because I am speechless by L.A Cotton in this one. I thought we saw everything about this band but the more Levi gets in trouble the more we see Rafe feeling like he’s at a crossroad. Here is a man who looks up to his big brother but even he is getting tired of always being the responsible one. I loved seeing that the more he tries to walk away the music calls to him in a way he has never felt before. Eva is the only one who he can confide in but wants more with her. Being with her Rafe feels things he never felt before and it scares him because of Levi. It has always been just Levi and the band, yet nobody knows the struggle and the demons that haunt them all. He knew Eva will change everything but never thought that Levi might want something he swore he would never have again. Love is definitely tricky in this book and boy it is a love nobody thought would have in this band. All in all this was a book that still has me speechless with how much love and one man’s demons to live was tough. One thing for sure this is so not the finale we see in this band because we still have Levi and I for one am anxious to see what is in store with him. Loved it.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
This is the last book in Rafe and Eva’s trilogy and we finally get to see what will happen to the band, now that Rafe has chosen Eva over everything else…
I figured with the ending of the previous book that this one would be chockful of angst but turned out I was wrong on that count… Eva and Rafe finally get to be who they want to be… a couple in love. No more hiding, no more pretending.
It also means a little adjusting for Levi though. I actually wanted a bit more on that front, to be honest. It all felt a bit too easy maybe. From the very beginning, which means the first book, I have been a Levi fan and that hasn’t changed. So even though I enjoyed reading about Rafe and Eva and even though I wanted them to have their hea… I wanted to read about Levi more.
This book did feel a bit like the intro to his story so I can only hope it is gonna be awesome and he will find the love he so hugely deserves. What can I say… you can’t change your favorite.
Once they are in my heart, they are stuck in there and so I am on pins and needles to read more about Levi. I also really enjoyed Hudson and Molly’s characters and I hope there will be plenty more about them as well.
What a finale !! Eva and Rafe are just destined to be together but can they overcome the obstacles, the haters, the Die Hearts, can it survive the storm between Rafe and Levi.
Every moment of this story has you wanting to reach the end, whilst not wanting to !! I wanted their story to go on forever !! LA Cotton takes you on a tour like no other, a journey of self discovery for both Eva and Rafe. Eva has to learn to lose the guilt of being alive, similarly Rafe’s guilt has to do with living the life he wants and not always putting Levi first.
Eva, as always is incredible – her compassion just jumps off the pages. She supports Rafe 100% and will be there for them both, the chemistry is unreal between her and both the brothers but in completely different ways !
I’m so glad Riley got her comeuppance!! Grrrr.. let’s hope that’s the last we hear of her !
I cant wait to see more of these boys.. literally love them all.. and also to find out phoebe’s story.
As always from L A Cotton a spellbinding page-turning read !!
This book is like no other!!! What an amazing ending to Rafe and Eva’s story!!! The last book left us on a cliff hanger and we weren’t sure how they were going to get through it all!!! LA Cotton did not disappoint with our favorite rock band!!! I love how the book includes all the band members and some new additions to the tour!!! You want more and more every time!!! I hope everyone reads this series! It’s what dreams and love are made of
I enjoy a good Rockstar romance every now and then. But I absolutely LOVED Rafe & Eva; their entire journey and definitely the conclusion to their story! Rule is book 3 of the Black Hearts Still Beat trilogy. Each book showcases different situations between the two main characters, but there is a main overall plot that spins throughout the entire trilogy so make sure to read all 3 in order. Eva is one of the sweetest heroines I’ve ever read and I truly love who she becomes for the entire band.
Rafe & Eva’s story of love & the struggles but also going from living an everyday life to living the life of a musical superstar almost overnight but also dating one of the hottest rock stars in the country too! That makes life hard enough on a couple of young ones but then throw in the real life crap going on too, life sure has given both of them some tough trials to live through. It’s really easy to stand on the outside and get angry about the one guy who stands between these twos happiness; but you can’t even say he’s the only thing standing between these two either though. The odds are literally stacked against them. The question is how they are going to deal with it. Together or will it break them apart?
My hopes are that you dig deeper and see this other guy for who he really is, for what he really needs! I speak from experience; he was not a favorite character of mine throughout the trilogy but he is the one I need to see happy more than any other character after Rafe & Eva!
I can’t wait to see else gets a story and what will happen. Cotton has sucked me into this world for the long haul! I’m legit dying for each person’s story, but I need Levi’s the most! Ok…I really want them all!
Rule: The Finale by L.A. Cotton is a sweet, entertaining, wonderful read. It continues the story of Rafe and Eva as they maneuver through their climb to stardom and the pressures associated with it. I love how easily this book was to read; I only wish it had more words so I could enjoy it longer! If you like Rock Romance, an interesting storyline, over the top characters, or pure romance, this book and series will be the perfect fit for you. 5 Musical Stars!
Rule the Finale is the 3rd book in the Black Hearts Still Beat series and is the conclusion to Eva & Rafe’s story. It can not be read as a standalone.
This part of the story starts right where book 2 ends. I really loved the start and seeing Eva & Rafe together while they try and figure out how to get back to where they want to be relationship wise, music wise and what to do about Levi. Once back on tour the tensions are high and things aren’t going to be easy for these two. Trust’s were broken and the rest of the band aren’t all welcoming to their return.
The middle was a little slow for me and not much was happening in the way of Eva & Rafe. There was some drama woven in here and there and a lot of it comes out at the end of the story. This felt more like a prelude to Levi’s story and I do feel a lot of the drama wasn’t explored enough but I’m hoping it will be the main focus in Levi’s book which I am so beyond excited for as I love him & his broken soul so freaking much.
I did enjoy this book & I love Lianne’s writing style but I also believe that this could’ve worked better as a duet than a 3 book series
Rule is book three in the Black Hearts Still Beat series and cannot be read as a standalone. It picks up with Rafe and Eva’s story where book two ended.
Rafe and Eva are at a crossroads with major decisions ahead of them. When they rejoin Black Heart Still Beat on tour, they are coming back to not only a rift between brothers, but a rift among the band itself. It will take Eva’s love of Rafe and each and every band member to help them heal and move on together, as she really is the glue that seems to bind them together and brings out the best in everyone.
But, will it be enough to keep Levi on the straight and narrow and to bring the band back together while still allowing her and Rafe to have the relationship they crave?
I am loving this series! The complexity of these characters is a lot of fun and adds such depth to the story. I love that Rafe is finally giving himself what he needs while also still trying to be Levi’s person. And, I love that Levi is finally fighting to stand on his own and not give in to his darkness. Phoebe was a fabulous new addition to the cast, and I really can’t wait to find out more about her.
Together, Rafe and Eva are super sweet and oh so good for each other. Eva is so very genuine in her emotions and everything she does. I love how she gives her everything to each member of the band as a friend and sister making sure not to come between the band and Rafe.
Rule has crazy fans, lots of angst, intense emotions, super sweet moments of romance, plenty of heat and tons and tons of drama! And, holy crap! What a Cliffhanger! I thought this was the end of the Black Hearts Still Beat journey, but apparently not! More from Black Hearted boys seem to be coming our way! 4.5 stars!
This was a bittersweet conclusion to Rafe and Eva’s story and I’m a little disappointed that it wasn’t that long and there wasn’t much that happened between these two , but it still was a great read ! I can’t wait for Levi’s book boy oh boy , this sexy lead singer has owned my heart since the first book ! I have a thing for tortured bad boy’s what can I say anywho I hope Hudson and Molly get there HEA and Damon he needs his own story too ! Overall BlackHearts Still Beats as a group each deserves there own story and I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us !
*** ARC given for my honest opinion ***
Rule is the final in the trilogy of Eva and Rafe! Book two left us wondering if they would make it back onto the Black Hearts tour, get back together, or fall apart. So many questions!!!
This book follows the couple as they handle the blowout from their sudden depature as well as Rafe doing something for himself for the first time since he took responsiblity for his brother. Along the way there is still the issues Eva has faced with Riley, and a new face comes on tour that not everyone is sold on.
The story of Rafe and Eva is in my top three of favorite rockstar romances to date! Her sweetness really calms all the rough edges of Black Hearts………. Rumor has it the band is going on a world tour that will allow us to catch up with them to see what new things are happening!
***4 “We’ll figure it out!” stars***
“She’s just a lost girl, drowning in space.
Nowhere to run, nowhere to go.
All she needs is an anchor, someone to reach out and pull…”
Boy, it seems like a lie that Rafe and Eva’s journey came to an end!!!
But I’m sure that we will see them again, at least once, but I’m wishing for more appearances, since i would love to read the stories of every other member of the Black Hearts still beat!!!!
I love these guys very much and i’m craving for more and more!!!!
“Just a girl in love with a boy, wondering how they were going to survive the odds.”
In the previous book, we saw Rafe to make a very hard move and to choose Eva over his brother and the band….
Yep, he proved himself on Eva, but his heart and mind is still heavy and in a bad place…
He made a choice and now, he has to face the consequences of this choice…
The good thing is that he is having Eva by his side to give him strength with her love…
“This beautiful broken boy, the boy who had stolen my heart, was here.
He’d come for me.”
“Eva was worth the risk.
She was worth every damn thing.”
As you can understand, show must go on and in order to do exactly that both Rafe and Eva have to go back and face a wild angry and disappointed rockstar, and the rest of their unusual “family”…
Will they manage to find a solution in all the ugly things that are standing on their way???
Will Levi and Rafe’s bond can ever be mend???
Can Eva be the one to help them all out????
“I can’t fix him, Eva. Not if he doesn’t want to fix himself.”
“Rafe and Levi had survived worse. They could survive this.
They could survive me.
And if they couldn’t, I’d just have to figure out a way to prove them wrong.”
Well, i loved Rafe and Eva from the very first moment and they deserved so much each other…
Their journey wasn’t an easy one… They had to face too many shits in order to be together…
In here, it’s time for them to be up front and to stay united against everything that the others and the world will throw into their way…
Rafe was a good man!!!! A man with a heavy load upon his shoulders. He was always the protector, but for once in his life, he has to lean into someone else and to think for himself and this is something that he is not used to…
Eva’s love and kind personality has so much power, not only for Rafe, but to anyone around her… She is the glue that can bind them together for ever!!!!
“Eva was it for me.
My salvation.
She was my shot at something real. Something good and pure and untainted by all the other bullshit.”
“I’m your person, Rafe, and together we can be Levi’s person.”
It’s not a secret that i love all the members of this band… and honestly, i need their stories!!!
Of course, Molly and Letty are part of this love….
And in here, we had a new addition, Phoebe, and I’m waiting like crazy to hear more about her…
And yes, it’s official!!! This crazy jackass, Levi, will get his own book and I’m so excited for this!!!
Lianne made me so happy!!!!
“She doesn’t like me. She looks at me and sees a project, something to fix. But there ain’t no fixing something as broken as me.” {Levi}
