I’ve read a lot of books written by Laura Greenwood; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is part of the Seven Wardens Series; the story continues but Macey isn’t sure she is ready for the final showdown.

This is the final book in the Seven Wardens series and it has all of the action, danger, emotions, and surprises.
Macey and the Wardens set off for what they all hope is the final battle against the Dark. They have learned a lot through their adventures, and they have the wisdom of former wardens to help.
The entire tale comes full circle with such balance it was winsome; I enjoyed seeing the gang and the new friends versus old and new foes alike.
So glad I took a chance on this series!
This book in the Seven Wardens Series begins with Macey fending off the ice attacks from Izban. Izban is angry and sad that Amber went through a portal and then it closed. After the group has a memorial of sorts for Amber, Izban vows vengeance and they all work on a solution to their problem with the evil beings. This is a fine book with lots of action, close calls with death, and angst. There are also plenty of romantic scenes brimming with steam. Highly recommended.

What an absolutely epic book with more action, adventure, drama, and emotion! Normally, I give a brief synopsis of what’s going on but, trust me when I say, you don’t want to miss one single word of this book. Questions are answered. Surprises are revealed. The entire tale comes full circle with such aplomb it was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing old and new friends versus old and new enemies. When good versus evil and I’m emotionally pulled into a story so much I can feel my emotions flow with the characters’ actions and reactions. What a great read!
Amber is brought back through a dream…. she arrives half dead so they set out to find the Calidrus in hopes it’ll help her. They meet King of the Incubus’s, James, and Jared’s ex-boyfriend! A quick short meeting and on they go back to heal Amber. Final battle, final everything! Wow lots of action and drama! A few trips around the world to find lodestones… infuse them with magic and then the final deal made to win the battle. Wardens save the day…getting out is rough and takes a mighty toll but out they come and allies are there to assist in healing. They loose their warden magic but at least they are alive to see another day!
A trip to the loch to take care of issues there and explain about herself to her people then back to the house in the mists to help Jared heal. It seems like they’ll finally get to relax and rest.

Macey and her wardens set off for the final fight against the Dark. They have learnt a lot over their adventures, and they have teh wisdom of the former wardens to help them.
A thrilling and exciting end to an epic story, where there is sadness as well as happiness at the end of the fight.
I loved the way the story came together, mixing the ups and downs of the story and even ending a beloved life.

The last two books in this series are my favourite. Everything comes together and the story pulls you right in. So much happens and the characters are wonderful. I was anxious to see how it would end and I am sorry it ended as well because I will miss everyone. I cannot wait to see what else these authors will write. I recommend this book.

This is book seven and the finale of the Seven Wardens series and finds the Wardens distressed over the loss of one of their own. Macey thought it should have been herself that would have to sacrifice herself in the attempt to close the portal in Greenland, but one of the others took her place, knowing they wouldn’t be able to return. No one that had gone through a portal, from what all the supernatural beings they had met so far had said, had ever made it back. It was the ultimate sacrifice and sometimes worked to close a portal, but not always. Some portals wanted much larger sacrifices and magic to close. The six Wardens remaining, along with Luc and Ronan, are suffering with their loss of one of their own, but they still have these evil black blobs to deal with. A method to hold magic in stones, will allow them to battle these beings in the desolate world with no access to their own magic and natural abilities. They all know the final battle is getting ever closer, but Macey doesn’t feel that she is ready, ready to die and leave the arms of her men, nor to have any of them die instead of her. She had hopes for her future and it wasn’t being Queen of the Kelpies or even the Empress of the Sea Kelpies. She just wanted a normal life and with five men, it could never really be that normal, but she had already seen a path to a possible future where she would have children and she wants a longer life than she believes she can have as a Warden!
She knows she has to do her duty as the leader of the Wardens, to put saving the world over her love of her men, her own people and anything she might want for herself. The position wasn’t something she ever wanted, but neither did any of the others. Even Izban is becoming a part of the group and coming up with some useful hints to help in what is to come. We finally get to see more of him and Amber in this book, with them being left behind in many of the others, or off doing something else. One of her brothers has come back, but is very changed from his normal, with a black blob having taken him over like one did Macey. Using her Warden magic to get rid of it allows him some clarity and she tells of her other brother and that his actions are his own, nothing to do with these creatures. It seems he has been gathering large forces to battle against her for the throne, but she has world ending matters to deal with. The arrival of the cat-man from an earlier tale, brings news of new allies for the Wardens, from all those beings they have helped along the way and those who have heard of their actions. Two enter the portal into the wasteland to search out locations of these evil blobs, in preparation of the others following soon after. The final battle is upon them and the old crone Amber saw before, is their only hope to defeat the huge army of blobs and the original body of the Mahoun, which had returned to the wasteland, when Macey thought he had been killed! The crone wants something from all of them, but without giving it up, they have no chance of defeating what they have found. They all have to decide to give up what makes them special, if any of them are to survive. They still have to fight the evil darkness, but now will have a better chance to defeat it all, once and for all! A price must be paid and all are willing to give it, to save the world. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
This is the last book in the Warden series. That means the final battle is going to happen. Someone has come back from the dead. Macey discovers something about her brothers and her fate as the Empress of the sea kelpie. They must discover the portals that are allowing the brollachans into the world. Old friends come back to guide and help them. They manage to make into a new realm for the last battle. The new realm once was like Earth before the brollachans came and destroy it. There is a cost to destroying them though. Will the Wardens save the world?

This is the last book in the seven wardens series and it definitely packs a punch. Yet again, there is more excitement and danger that the reader is constantly rooting for Macey and her men to overcome. The characters in this series are wonderful and the story line is so immersing that I just didn’t want to stop. I have to admit that I wish this wasn’t the last book because I want this series and characters to keep going and going. I give a huge shout out to Skye Warren and Laura Greenwood in regards to this series. This is a series I will definitely be re-reading at sometime in the future when I feel that I am missing the characters that I love.

This was a great ending to a great series. I loved how it all came together and how it all came an end. I really enjoyed this series and all of the characters. The ending brought everything together nicely and I found that I was a bit sad for it to end. I loved following Macey’s story and how she met all of her soulmates, the story of the wardens, everything. It was a fantastic series and it to a fantastic ending.
Five out of five stars.

The book definitely has more action, danger and many more surprises. The pace was swift and impactful. Macy and her wardens have had a long journey and it’s been exciting with all the romance, love, magic and adventure. I have just one problem, these stories don’t need to have such graphic sex scenes. I don’t mind sex scenes and if they’re graphic once in a while, fine. But make the story about the characters and what they have to go through and do to get to their HEA. Let’s go book 8.

Rule the Dark is the seventh and final full-length novel in this series. There is a short holiday novella that takes place after this book. This can’t be read as a standalone. If you haven’t read the first six books you will be missing a lot of info to be able to enjoy and understand what’s going on in this book. Excellent book! Perfect ending for this series. I couldn’t put it down! The Wardens race against time to stop the evil from taking over the world. If they don’t succeed it will mean loss of magic and death to everyone and everything. The Wardens must be successful at any cost, they just hope they’ll all make it out alive.

Epic
As the last in a series I was glad to see all the loose ends and nagging questions finally answered. I can only recommend that you read this book and all those in the series you will not be sorry.

The seventh and final story in the Seven Wardens series a well written story that had this series go out with a bang. What a conclusion. This is a series I would recommend. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Incredible Fantastic Epic Conclusion
Wow. Just… wow. This story, this series absolutely drew me in and I didn’t want to let go. The magic, the battles, the love… it was all just so wonderful, fantastically written and unbelievably engrossing. I fell in love with this series and the conclusion is a satisfying if bittersweet one. I’ll miss this world.
All the pieces are in place for the final encounter. But will our heroine survive to see the conclusion?
This is book seven of the series and the conclusion. I strongly recommend starting at the beginning.
This is a paranormal romance story with a reverse harem theme and a dose of Scottish folklore thrown in for good measure. The story is well written and easy to read as I would expect. The characters and setting are also well developed and quite intriguing, almost as much fun as the plot itself. I particularly liked the Scottish elements seeded throughout. The story has been long and intense all in a build up to this final moment. Overall, this was a highly enjoyable series and I look forward to the authors’ next creation.
Highly recommended.

There is only one way to Rule The Dark, and Macey has to find it. In the meantime the Wardens are hurting. They have lost one of their own. That does not mean they are allowed time to rest and mourn however. The still have to save the world.
The final battle is approaching, and Macey is not sure she is ready. Allies, old friends, and those with their own more selfish motives will come together in this final book.
It is a story of good versus evil, friendship and love fighting against hate and greed.
I enjoyed this climax to the series. You really should read it.
