This is the fifth book in the series and it can be read as a standalone. It is not my favorite and very similar to the other books. It is challenging being a young woman working, studying and trying to make ends meet so when she overhears a conversation about making a lot of money, Virginia is all ears. As the reality of the situation begins to settle in, she becomes somewhat uneasy and is flummoxed when she realizes with whom she is being asked to spend the week….none other than her boss Tony Lee. This is one storyline filled with steamy scenes and intense attraction between the characters.
I volunteered to read an advance copy and all opinions are my own.
just not good
I didn’t like it. The heroine is forced to do awful sexual behavior which I did not enjoy. Her relationship with her fiance was a love/ hate relationship with no real love. Just a way to gain power for both of them. I have deleted the book and will not read the next series.
Love this book I wish the series would continue it’s so good in my opinion
Tony and Virginia certainly do not make life easy for either of them. While there are parallels to “50 Shades”, I thought the storytelling was actually better.
Great read
Brown lets her feelings on the political climate known in this one, which is funny at times, painfully true at others. Her main characters have nothing to do with this thankfully, & their story is as gripping and erotic as the previous 4 novels in this series. The main characters are well developed and their dialogue flows very naturally. The secondary characters need a bit more work, but their development does not interfere with the plot.
I enjoyed the book but it was a only a taste because I wanted to know how it all ended. Cliffhanger!! I guess I have to buy the series, which I know I would it enjoy. Good read!!
Great story. Can be read as a stand alone. Virginia is a determined woman. Tony Lee is a opposite attracts sort of guy. He tries to fight it but he’s drawn to Virginia. Entertaining story, worth the read.
Kind of dark. Did not connect with characters.
This book was not at the top of my love list, but I did enjoy much of the writing. It was reminiscent of other books I have read.
Same style as 50 shades .with less carisma from the main charactors
I enjoyed this book so much that I purchased the whole series.
Just freaken’ Amazing!!! Hot
Fantastic follow up to the other ones
An excellent book.
It’s a complete box set and you wont regret buying it
Hot!
Another super hot book from Em Brown!
First of all I’d like to say I have always loved Em Brown and her writing. However this book isn’t but a few chapters and although the buildup was fantastic and I was right there hanging on every single word…it abruptly ends. It is definitely a cliffhanger hanger! I read other reviews and was shocked that they said it’s not a cliffhanger and how much they enjoyed the book and all that but it’s not a book. It’s not even half a book. You may say it’s the first few chapters with a huge cliffhanger! It would have been five stars because I was all into the story, but took three away for wasting my money and time on a few chapters thinking it was a book. That’s all I’ve got to say about Ruined.
A young woman finds that she wants more out of her life and for her family. She happens to overhear a conversation and finds a card. She meets the one of the family members that owns the Hotel she is working in she finds that she is attracted to him even though he seems to not be interested in her. Somewhat of an interesting twist to a love story. Short story, interesting characters.. I was given an Arc from the author without obligation. I am providing a honest review.
