**Extreme Triggers*TallieWomen despise me and men want me in their bed, and I’m okay with both. I use my sexuality to get what I want, and I make no apologies for it. No one knows me, the real me. My hardened shell protects that ruined little girl buried deep inside, a girl I tried to leave back in Florida so many years ago. But then he walks into Pulse one evening and sees me, the real me, not … one evening and sees me, the real me, not Tals, the sex kitten but Tallie, the girl that ran away.

Most of my life has been shrouded in mystery. The only thing my family knows is that I will always protect them even from myself. As the king of one of the largest criminal empires in the world, I can’t afford luxuries such as love or getting too close. So, I stay within these walls of protection away from my family, friends, and enemies. But now and then I get bored, and tonight I know just the place to entertain me.

I think I’ve read all of this author’s books so I knew what to expect going in. What I didn’t expect was to gleefully clap when I recognized past character’s names & places (you don’t need to have read anything prior, so no worries).
I read this story in one day. It was one of those stories which I thought I knew where it was going and was prepared for being completely unprepared. FANTASTIC story line. Well plotted from beginning to end. There were a few times I had to sit back and think about who was who and why they were the way they were, but it did not take away from the enjoyment.
The author notes a trigger warning, I think it was deserved in this case. While these are not “triggers” for me, they are things I prefer to not read about and was able to skim over the triggers with no problem and was still able to follow along.
I look forward to reading more of this exciting series.
I loved this book. I couldn’t put it down until the last page. This author has continued to write stories that are hot, steamy and who doesn’t love a bad boy as well as just a plain awesome book. Her character development is awesome as they make me feel as if I am right there in the room with them. Who knew that walking into Pulse could change lives forever? A story of breaking down walls and seeing people for who they really are. A must read, hands down, you won’t regret it.
