“We met in a nightmare. The in-between world where time had no power over reason. We fell in love. We fell hard. But then we woke up. And it was over . . .”
RUIN & RULE
She is a woman divided. Her past, present, and future are as twisted as the lies she’s lived for the past eight years. Desperate to get the truth, she must turn to the one man who may also be her greatest enemy . . .
He is … may also be her greatest enemy . . .
He is the president of Pure Corruption MC. A heartless biker and retribution-deliverer. He accepts no rules, obeys no one, and lives only to reap revenge on those who wronged him. And now he has stolen her, body and soul.
Can a woman plagued by mystery fall in love with the man who refuses to face the truth? And can a man drenched in darkness forgo his quest for vengeance-and finally find redemption?
RUIN & RULE is a full-length book at 436 pages and ends on a cliffhanger. Cleo and Kill’s story continues in SIN & SUFFER.

Such a beautifully tragic story, as so many of Pepper Winter’s tales are. These two main characters are so enigmatic, you can’t help but lose yourself in their maybe-maybe-not romance. Each chapter leaves you constantly guessing about their possible shared past and predicting what’s going to happen next. Great, unique take on the MC world, too. And if you don’t catch some serious feels for Kill, just start the book over and try again.
5 twisted as sin stars!! Omg I freaking love this book!! It is going to the favorites list y’all!!!
Ok I have had this book on my kindle for awhile and been waiting for a break to get a chance to read it because I have heard so many good things. Damn this book is good.
This isn’t your typical MC book. This shit is crazy and full of secrets and lost memories. But know one thing.. love always finds a way.
I think Kill is super sexy and just freaking wonderful. I will say the first half of the book I wanted to choke the living shit out of him but I have since changed my mind. I think this whole story has you rooting for the past. Trying to figure out all secrets.
This book is a definite mind fuck but in a good way. The end through me for a loop… ahhh… what is to come?!?!!!
Pepper is a phenomenal author, I am a huge fan and this is just another one of her books I will never forget. The writing seems effortless and it flows seamlessly. She has a way of painting you this picture that you never let go. I dreamt about this book. This book was life. This is a MUST read!!
I’m on to book 2 right now….
I can tell this is a different side of Pepper. I liked the story on this one. A bit different for our main couple for me. The audiobook was good. I look forward to the conclusion Sin & Suffer.
OMG!! I would give this book way more than 5 stars if I could. I was hooked from the beginning.. Following Forgetful Girl waking up with no memory and as she falls in love again with Kill and her memories come back.. I finished this book and bought the 2nd one! I love Pepper Winters writing and she went above and beyond with this book. If you want a page – turning, steamy sex scenes, and action packed hotness that comes with an MC story, this is the book for you. This book will ruin you for others!!!!
OMG!!!!
I do love me some Kill!!!
He is my all time favorite biker! He’s hurt from his past and has revenge on his mind. But his plans change once he finds his Cleo and realizes she’s alive! The scenes are off the charts. Plus just like Pepper Winters always does is leaves up in an emotional tailspin. It’s such a fantastic book. But there is a WTF Cliffhanger!!!!!! NO!!!!! Just fucken kill me now!!!!! I have to wait months for the next book to come out!!!
When Kill collects his cargo the last women he expects to see is the woman he knows is dead. His heart died the day she did eight years ago. When she wakes up captured and unknowing who she is she knows one thing she knows the leader of this MC and he knows her. She will do anything to find out the truth of her missing past and memories. Kill is the president of Pure Corruption MC and they are on the precipice of everything but who is this woman with her face? Can he believe her before it’s too late for both of them or will their past destroy them all? Wow! Another amazing read from this author. The characters jumped off the page and came alive. I didn’t want to stop reading. Wish I could give it more than five stars. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Ruin and Rule starts off with a girl, let’s call her “Forgetful girl”, waking up blindfolded, tied and in pain…kidnapped. She has no memory to speak of. She doesn’t know where she is, WHO she is, NOTHING. Her mind is locked to her, “a fortress withholding everything I wished to know.” The only thing that seems to spark any recognition for her is his voice: the earthquake rumble of a voice coming from a man she can’t see from behind her blindfold. As soon as the blindfold is removed, the only focal point in her life is him. Something in her mind tells her she knows him on some deeper level and she see’s that recognition spark in him as well. “Recognition flickered, love smoldered, and a heartbreaking sorrow only those who have loved and lost can know etched his eyes.” She knows that he is the key to unlocking her past, but he denies knowing her. He denies the obvious connection they have. He denies the familiarity of her…the resemblance of the loved one he thought he lost 8 yrs ago.
Come to find out the voice that she seems to recognize belongs to Arthur “Kill” Killian, who is the president of the motorcycle club called Pure Corruption. “My name is Arthur Killian, but you and everyone else, address me as Kill.” He is there ruthless ruler that brought the group up from ruins. They were once known as “The Corrupts”, but he singlehandedly created this new group that is now governed by the motto “PURE IN THOUGHTS AND VENGEANCE. CORRUPT IN ALL THINGS THAT MATTER.” He has one plan, one goal that he has set in motion and is close to completing: Revenge. Revenge to those who did him wrong; those who he trusted unconditionally and took everything from him. Those who killed the only girl he loved…his Sagittarius. But now in the midst of all the strategic planning, he has this forgetful girl, who claims to be her, to have her memories. But she can’t be…if she is, then all his meticulous planning would be for not. As more and more of the forgetful girls memories get unlocked over the time she is around Kill, doubt sets in. Kill begins to doubt what really happened all those years ago.
Forgetful girl is determined on breaking through the “wall” in her brain and figuring how who she is and why she has these dead girls memories, but in the process she digs up much more truths than she can possibly handle. Are some things worth digging up or are they better left hidden away to never be seen or thought about again? There’s a war wagging and in the middle of it all, these two have to figure out if they are truly long lost loves brought back together and their stories are more intertwined than they thought or is just a coincidence a girl with similar features and memories to the one that died, shows up right before the war begins? Maybe, maybe not…
________
This was my very first Pepper Winters novel and I. Couldn’t. Put. It. DOWN! I kept telling myself, “Just finish the chapter and then you can clean the house.” “Just one more chapter and you can go to bed.” “Just one more chapter and…oh forget it, I’m just going to stay up all night and finish the book!” Well I did finish and I WANT MORE! I need it to be January 2016 now! Crazy as it may seem, I believe this book is the reason woman have fantasies about getting kidnapped and falling in love with their sexy and broken captor. (YES this is a thing! Google it!)
This book is like walking through a dense fog…you keep reading hoping to come to a clearing at the end. We get to experience all the confusion and turmoil that the main female character goes through with her complete memory loss. Each chapter is like walking through that fog a little more only to realize that there is another obstacle to get through and still so many more layers and aspects we don’t know. The unveiling of her memories is written perfectly and with each unlocked memory we are realizing more and more why her mind locked her out…to protect her from her tragic and horrific past. Each memory reveals just how deeply intertwined she is in the MC world she woke up to in the beginning. There is a war going on around her and she is smack dab in the middle of it. Coincidence?
War is coming. War is imminent. It would happen between Pure Corruption and Dagger Rose. And it would happen because of me.
The characters are brilliantly developed and multifaceted. There is so much depth and mystery with EACH one that it leaves you craving to know more about them with each page. But just like her memories, each page leaves you questioning what you’ve learned about those characters and makes you wonder their involvement in everything.
The plot is unique and like nothing else I’ve read. I am beginning to realize why readers love Pepper Winters. She creates a completely believable and realistic world. The world sucked me in and when I was done, I looked up from the book in a state haze and confusion and had to blink several times in order to remember where I was. *lol*
Plain and simple, this book CONSUMED my life. It was a page turner and no matter what I did, I HAD to get to the end of the book. It was packed full of mystery, angst, eroticism, vengeance and love. I am typically not a MC reader, but man am I SO HAPPY I picked this book up!
“If life was a tapestry, already threaded and steadfast, then he was the scissors that cut me free. He tore me out, stole me away, changed the whole prophecy of who I was meant to be.” –Forgetful Girl

5 stars!
Pepper Winters is the best at mind games. She has a wonderful way of painting a picture with words. A couple of young kids of a biker families and the tragedy they lived through. So deeply emotional, full of danger, mystery, passion and hatred.
4.5 stars. It may seem odd but when some details don’t add up it really bugs me. Mainly some of the time frames. H is 17 1/2 when the event happens, he serves 4 1/2 years in prison and is 24 when he gets out. The math just doesn’t add up. It’s silly but I docked it a partial star for that. Details…
I think this was the first of this duet and was very different but great and also with twists and turns galore . Another must read duet by Pepper Winters
