A second chance novella, the poetry written at the beginning of each chapter was awesome. The storyline was promising, but I think it would of been better if stretched out and we were given further depth and details. An easy and enjoyable read.
Kitty returns home to her roots, where her sister runs the family bookstore. Seventeen when she left, ruined and heartbroken by Joey who put his MC first and kept lying to her. Of course she runs into him and every emotion they feel for each other is still boiling over. Her sisters would kill her if they knew she even contemplated seeing him again.
Joey had to protect her from stuff, as a member of the MC he owed them the loyalty. Now that he’s been released from the club, he can be open and honest for the first time. He has lots to amend for and this is his chance to redeem himself, hopefully he won’t f*#k it up.
Kitty Bordeau is a dreamer. She will want you to be a dreamer too. Joey Madden is the bad boy you were always warned about but never would stay away from. This is their story and what happens when love just doesn’t end. When you know it’s seems wrong but feels right. When everyone tells you it should be this way but all your instincts tell you they are wrong.
Christina creates this moving story of never giving up, in believing in someone even when you know you shouldn’t because they are your even if they can’t. Even if you could lose it all. It’s a story of a girl growing up into a woman while still always being the dreamer she was meant to be and of a boy becoming a man for a the girl who always believed in the him. Kitty and Joey story will ruin you in the best possible way way.
A beautiful second-chance romance from a new to me author. I was so glad that I had a chance to read this story. Not only did it feel like a full length book I felt like I got the whole story and not that “left me hanging till the next book” feeling.
I absolutely loved kitty and joeys story it was so good an amazing I loved her poems she wrote thru out the book and I can’t wait to see what happens to the other sisters too
Ruin Me is the first novella in The Summer Of Secrets Series with 3 stories about 3 sisters during one summer.
Christina Hart started the book off with a bang with her fantastic, yet heartbreaking poetry she includes with each chapter of Kitty, the youngest Bordeau sister. Kitty has just moved back home to her quiet beach hometown to be reunite with her 2 sisters. When she runs into her old high school boyfriend, Joey their worlds ignite and life definitely sets some things in motion.
Their story is one of second chances with a young love. They are both still young, but the sacrifices they’ve already made for each other shows plenty of thought and love for a future. Joey had me swooning with his words and my heart beating with his sexy ways (seriously, why can’t book boyfriends be real?!). And Kitty was totally relatable in her angst and decisions.
While this is the first book I’ve read by Christina Hart, I know I will be back for more of her words. Her poetry is extraordinary and I felt it in my bones. The story she created with these two young adults in the short amount she had was a perfect start to this end of summer read.
This was an ok read. I liked that the characters stayed true to each other even when apart but they definitely needed to work on their communication skills. I did like that Kitty’s poetry started off each chapter but there were parts that dragged on a little too long.
This is the first book in a set of three about 3 different sisters. Kitty is the main character in this one. She is back home and runs into her ex right off the bat. He is a bad boy but is trying to do good for her. Her sisters have been keeping things from her. Will her and him be able to work things out or will he never change? Will her sisters tear them apart? Loved it. Short sweet and just enough to make you love the characters.
This is the 1st in a set of novellas, about 3 sisters. Kitty is the youngest of the sisters and has just returned to her hometown and is reunited with her 2 older sisters. Joey is a reformed bad boy, and together with Kitty, they try to convince her sisters he is not the boy he used to be. This is a good story which is poetic and with relatable characters.
Kitty and Joey take you from one emotional ride to the next. They have been apart for two years and it left them both wrecked. When they try and figure out how to be together again something comes up and tries for rip them apart. Her sister’s don’t help either. Will they he able to over come everything and be what they are supposed to be or will they let it keep them apart. Amazingly beautiful read with a few twists and turns to keep you wanting more. You laugh, cry and feel it all. Can’t wait to read more from this author
What a beautiful strong story of a huge second chance and feelings that have never been forgotten. These characters certainly have their demons and regrets but know exactly what they want. Kitty and Joey are very strong characters with confidence and it melted my heart the sacrifices and things they did for each other.
A beautiful second-chance romance from one of my favorite authors. The poetry was such an exquisite touch. I loved Kitty’s youth and her love for her sisters. Joey was the perfect reformed bad boy.
