They think I’m sick in the head. I might be. I am who I am and I don’t apologize for it. When my sister goes missing, I step up and take action. My Prez throws me a bone with a hot little girl that has been through a lot of trauma herself. I’m not looking for love. In fact, I’m not all that sure that I hold that emotion in me. But I can have some fun with her. Our lives are far from the same but … are far from the same but she gives me a strength I didn’t know I needed.
My fear? I’m going to ruin her.

This story is not a typical mc book. Ruger is a raw sort of unlikable, no holds, little remorse and on and on guy. There is just nothing a person should like about him yet the author has a way of drawing me in and making me like the most unlikable person. As the story goes I could see a little why Ruger is the way he is yet no all people with bad pasts get to be like him. I enjoyed his way of explaining not being the type to go to the show, hold hands and eat popcorn. With his sister missing he is getting a little more edgy. He holds back nothing and uses no excuses for what he does trying to find her. As his path crosses with Kira things get really interesting. Kira has her own reasons for the way she is. Yet how she handles most situations and how she handles Ruger is so original that only this author could have come up with this character. I enjoyed the characters from the past are in this book. I think the part of how dealing with Doctor Shaw was pretty raw but it added so much to the way the clubs go about getting what they want. I’m felt the part the Spirit MC club had in helping Ruger was a little scary but really added to the story. I was surprised about the part with Stoney. I thought Ruger would be more possessive. I feel the story flows smoothly enough to hold my attention till the very end. I love the characters, past and present. I appreciate how in the end this author ties everything up yet still leaves the series open for more stories. As always I look forward to the next.
Boy is Ruger in a bad place. His sister is taken and he’s going crazy not knowing where she is. He’s in a dark place and living in the moment. Hawk is trying to help him and with the hunting of his sister. There’s action, heat and a hea.
First let me preface this review by saying I first fell in love with Ruger in during the Soulless Bastards North Cal Chapter series. I have (not so) patiently been waiting for his story. As I waited the more I realized I was setting myself up for a big disappointment as I was building too much anticipation and expectation from Trejo to bring Ruger to life. That being said…..
(Stands….begins slow clap…)
Ruger doesn’t only live up to my high expectations, but exceeds them! Ruger is the true definition of a Soulless Bastard, getting his enjoyment both physically and mentally from causing others pain and torment. He only loves one thing more than dishing out wickedness, and that’s his little sister, Angie. When she disappears, he set about tearing the world apart to find her and make those who took her pay. Nothing will stand in his way including his own self-deprecation. That is until he lays eyes upon Kira. One look into Kira’s eyes and Ruger can tell she is haunted and broken. But he also sees the inner strength and fire she has in order to survive her past. Kira wants nothing more than to help Ruger find his sister while helping other girls escape the evil that haunts her and get retribution for her own broken soul. But when Ruger pushes Kira’s help aside for her own protection, Kira fights him blood, tooth and nail. Only Kira doesn’t know Ruger lives for that fight.
Ruger is depravity at its finest. Ruger leaves the reader breathless, questioning their own moral turpitude and starving for the next chapter of SoCal Soulless Bastards.
Note to Trejo: I’m sure I am not the only fan who would love to see a series spin-off featuring Spirit MC.

Two people that’s broken and damaged managed to fall for each other. Kira for what she through and Ruger for childhood trauma. You couldn’t find anyone better than these two characters ending up together. Erin M Trejo made me fall for these two, Its an amazing book.
My Favorite Quote From This Book:
“You want to live in that hell he tossed you in, go for it, but don’t you ever, ever think that after I’ve claimed you, I’d let you leave me so easily.”
This Quote right here speak to your soul
Thank You.
Loved Ruger & Kira’s story. After the same traffickers had taken his sister he didn’t think he was able to love again. Until Kira who is just as broken & they find each other. Definitely a page turner.
This review is a tough one to write as I have very mixed feelings about it. I’m beginning to think Erin Trejo likes to torture her readers this way… Ruger and Kira’s story is a weird roller coaster dichotomy. Ruger is a sadistic, cruel thug at times, but the other part of him loves his sister and will do anything to rescue her. Kira is a damaged kidnap/rape victim, who gets off seeing him rape a man!!??!! See, weird. But, the story held my interest, was fast paced, and interesting.
****I received an ARC and this is my honest review****
Have you ever read a book that once it was done, you felt like you were torn limb by limb and then put back together? This book made me feel that way when I finally lifted my head up out of the book and it was finished. I knew going into this book that Ruger was going to be pure chaos. Ruger is just a well layered man with the hints that we have been given about him thus far. His story is something else entirely and as it comes to light in this book and his reaction to having his little sister, Angie, taken, well let me tell you, you thought he was a beast before…..hold on tight because you have seen nothing yet. Kira comes to help Ruger get his sister back and she comes with her own past and complications. However, the more these two work together to find Angie, the more closer they get. Neither one of them feels they are fit for a relationship or are looking for love. Ruger and Kira may not be perfect but they may be perfect for each other. Hang on tight as this is a rough, tough but so hot and sexy ride!
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an ARC.
Ruger and Kira will have you on the edge of your seat with twist and turns and a whole lot of heat and steam along the way to keep you wanting more and more.
Ruger is looking for sister and getting nowhere when he meets Kira and they slow start to find out what is going on. Will they be able to find his sister in time or will he lose what he cares about the most. Emotional, action packed, with all the characters we know and love as well. Can’t wait to read the next one in this series.
This book blew my mind. If you are at all familiar with SBMC, then you are aware of Ruger and the type of man he is; cold, indifferent and utterly ruthless. His sister Angie is taken by human traffickers and he and the club pull out all the stops to track her down. When the Prez, Hawk, brings in Kira, a victim of the same traffickers, to help him, Ruger fights it, thinking she will not be able to handle it. As they work together, you see an unexpected side of Ruger as this woman begins to make an impact on who he knows himself to be. The result is a stunning story of two very broken people who try to find it in themselves to be what the other needs. I can’t even express the emotions that this book brings out but like all this author’s stories, hang on tight and enjoy the ride!
I received an advanced readers copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ruger is dark and twisted in fact it is the darkest book in this series so far. Ruger likes to deal out pin and he makes no apologies about that At the moment he is driving himself crazy his sister Angie has gone missing and he can’t find her he will do whatever he needs to get her back Meanwhile Hawk introduces him to Kira she is just as twisted and damaged as Ruger Will these two find peace in one another Can two such damaged people have a future you will need to read to see
His missing sister is driving Ruger slightly mad, not knowing and not being able to find out anything is becoming his focus. With help from Hawk finally he might get a breakthrough. Kira damaged she feels beyond repair, all she wants is to help and maybe save others from going through what she did and get some revenge. This is a powerful read with graphic violence and abuse, some of that is lessened in the way it is handled making it slightly less shocking. Every book in this series has been different in topic matter, each are very strong plots with subjects not always easy to read about but not something that puts me off. I love Erin’s books and the never underestimating her keeps me on my toes because she is known to kill off a good guy sometimes so I’m wary. Not saying that happens here but it has before. Exciting and intense loved it.
Ruger is one messed up individual. But we already knew that for those that met him in the No Cal books. I am glad they reference his craziness from those books. As crazy and dark as he may be, he also loves his family and will do anything for them. Strangely enough, I didn’t find it all that bad; maybe I have problems? LOL. His ruthlessness and his darkness actually turn me on, like Kira I guess. They’re perfect for each other actually. I couldn’t get enough of them and was glad Kira finally let him in. They are two broken souls that found their missing piece in each other. I can’t even praise Erin Trejo enough with her stories.
I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Ruger is a kicka$$ and take names later kind of guy but when his sister goes missing there is no questions asked just a$$ kicking! Kira has had a traumatic past and wants to get the people that caused that trauma. When Ruger is ordered by his MC President to work with Kira in finding his sister the sparks fly and not always in a good way.
Ruger’s story is one hotbed of action, emotional ups and downs, and fiery chemistry! When his sister Angie is taken, Ruger becomes a man on the very edge of sanity. He has nothing to lose, which makes him even more dangerous. Can Kira soothe the savage beast? I love this series and the MC family. They’re hard and gritty, but they know what it takes to have each other’s backs, and this book is yet another amazing story about a hot Soulless Bastards brother.
Dirty, Gritty, and so fucking HOTTT! I feel like I have been waiting for ages to get to know Ruger and now that I have I don’t think I will ever want to let him go. The back and forth between Ruger and Kira is amazing, they are seriously a match made in Hell for each other. This will continue to be on re-read list for years to come along with all of Erin’s other books.

it was amazing
Excellent book! I love, love Ruger!! Such a good story, I couldn’t stop until it was done. Ruger and Kira, what chemistry! Erin Trejo has done it again! So excited for Crow!
I love Erin Trejo. She has been rocking dark characters for awhile. Ruger really wasn’t dark. Some would say twisted. Sure he had some kinks but we don’t kink shame. To each their own.
The problem is we learn only a tiny bit about who Ruger really is. He talks about him and his sister being raised in the system and that making him who he is. He spends most of his time helping Kira and his sister. Don’t get me wrong that is awesome but he is constantly saying he is a horrible person yadda yadda yadda.
Oh, don’t kink shame cause he and Kira show everyone their kink almost daily. Somehow this helps her. To each their own.
The only thing you really take away from this book…Ruger has a low opinion of himself and there is lots of heat. Nice erotica.
wow this was the third book and i loved it! he is one bad man who does really bad things to people. he wants his sister back. he meets her thanks to his president. now he just wants some fun from her but she is damaged. a must read!
Another great book by Erin Trejo. She writes some twisted stories, but you cant help but love them.
I loved Ruger and Kira, they didn’t expect anything to come from their fighting and trying to find Rugers sister.
I can’t wait for more.
