Gwyneth Shepherd’s sophisticated, beautiful cousin Charlotte has been prepared her entire life for traveling through time. But unexpectedly, it is Gwyneth, who in the middle of class takes a sudden spin to a different era!
Gwyneth must now unearth the mystery of why her mother would lie about her birth date to ward off suspicion about her ability, brush up on her history, and work with … Gideon–the time traveler from a similarly gifted family that passes the gene through its male line, and whose presence becomes, in time, less insufferable and more essential. Together, Gwyneth and Gideon journey through time to discover who, in the 18th century and in contemporary London, they can trust.

Time traveling books are a hit or miss for me but I loved this one so much! It was addicting and the time traveling parts were super cool!
Ruby Red focuses on a girl named Gwyneth/Gwendolyn who discovers that she is the one with the time travel gene in her family, even though everyone believed it was Charlotte.

This book is an English ttranslation of the original German book. It centers around a teen ager who travels in time. The author describes the time appropriate costumes in detail. She definitely did her research in by gone fashions. Her book contains hstoricl facts without being didactic.️️
Love this book and series!

Charlotte has been preparing for time travel her whole life, and it should happen any day now, but suddenly it is Gwyneth who is transported back in …
