All The Montana Marshalls novels are tied together, just like the family is. I recommend that you start at with the first book KNOX, then read the rest in this order: TATE, FORD, WYATT, and RUBY JANE. In each of them, the main characters are strong and heroic, but each of the main characters have secrets and hidden weaknesses, just like all of us. The books have strong romances and strong spiritual threads in the midst of suspense and danger. I highly recommend them.
Oh my goodness, what a wrap-up of The Montana Marshall’s Series. I loved Ruby Jane aka RJ and I also loved York aka Mac. As a matter of fact I loved all of the Marshalls. This book has so many twists and turns that you will be guessing until the end who is the good guys and who is going to end up killing them. Susan May Warren is a pro when it comes to creating heroes or in this case a hero and a heroine. This is an absolute awesome book and such a romantic one as well. I recommend that you get this whole series. You will love it too.
Bittersweet to have to end my time spent with this lovely family.
But what a story!
This is the thrilling conclusion to Susan May Warren’s suspense-filled series about the Marshall family. Ruby Jane’s story was a must read, and yet, it made me sad to finish it.
The story was simply amazing, and I have been mulling it over in my head for a few days, trying to think of the right words to give it a fitting review.
This book didn’t quite bring me the closure that I was hoping for. In spite of it being the end of the series, I still had lots of questions after I closed the book and had finished the last page.
But.
In spite of all that, I loved this story. I couldn’t wait to read RJ’s story and see what happened. The previous book had ended at a major cliff hanger, and I couldn’t just wait and leave them all hanging like that….
So. Back to RJ. She’s just sure, cuz she can feel it deep down in her bones, that York is alive, even though she’s been told otherwise.
Then…she spots him in a TV interview. So she goes to that small town to find him. Only, when she gets there, he doesn’t even recognize her.
What is going on.
She’s determined to get to the bottom of this.
What if he’s still in danger.
Well…I think I need to stop with that. I don’t want to give any spoilers.
Suffice it to say that there is lots of danger and intrigue in this story. Twists and turns, events that you can’t possibly see coming. Susan May Warren is a master at this kind of story, and I really think this might be her best book yet.
I really loved the theme of redemption and forgiveness that came through in this story. No matter what we’ve done, no matter what’s in our past, if we cry out to God, He is willing to forgive and make us a new person.
The Montana Marshalls have quickly become a favorite fictional family of mine, and I hope to re-read these books again sometime in the future.

I have read the other books in this series and I am so sad to see it end! I definitely recommend reading all of them and in order to get the most out of this series and character/plot development.
I like that although each sibling has their own story (Knox, Tate, Ford, Wyatt), all of them are included in some way in every story.
I got a big glimpse into Ruby Jane and York’s story while they were in Russia in the “Ford” book. I really enjoyed this book and read it in one night because I couldn’t stop reading! There was non stop action, plot twists, drama, and clean romance. I couldn’t catch my breath with all the running, shooting and kidnapping attempts-whew! So much going on but it was fun to read!
I have loved reading this series and getting to know the Marshall family and extended family and characters. Just when I think her books can’t get any better-Susan May Warren comes out with another amazing series!
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
Powerful conclusion!
The Montana Marahalls series has been an absolute thrill ride from start to finish. You will definitely want to read this series in order. Ruby Jane is the fifth and final story in the series. This book will leave you with mixed emotions, from wanting to turn the pages as fast as you can to find out what happens, to not wanting to let go of the amazing characters portrayed. I very much appreciate how the author brings such a deep spiritual meaning throughout these stories. The characters and the journeys they face are so very powerful, that you will want to read these stories over and over again.
Again, Susan May Warren has far exceeded all expectations for continuing to make each new story even better than the last. She definitely saved the best for last with this series. The characters and the story are for sure my new favorite!
*I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher. All opinions are my own.
This conclusion to the Montana Marshall’s series is really the beginning of the next series – with Orion, Jake & Ham. I read that series first – I need to re-read it now, as the back story would have made more sense if I’d read thw Marshall series 1st. I like how Warren brings characters back from her early Russian series. Unexpected ending, but very good. Intricate, suspenseful storyline that Ruby Jane must figure out – not only for the safety of her family, but for political stability/peace, as she walked into a web of controversy, cover-up, rogue CIA/U.S. characters & Russian mafia. Great characters & multiple love stories, very action-packed & suspenseful!
Ruby Jane is probably the most mysterious of the Marshall clan. This is her story. But, her story can not be separated from her brothers’ stories. In this final installment of The Montana Marshalls series, we see hoe each individual story is intertwined with each other. If you love mystery and suspense you will not be disappointed. This is the perfect finale for this series.
Oh, I did not want this series to end. Susan May Warren is a master of her craft. Ruby Jane is the final (So far) of the Montana Marshalls series. I hope we will see these characters in future books. This book tied up the mysteries from the preceding stories and it took me all the way to the end to figure most of it out.
The series has a strong faith line throughout and we get to see the characters grow and conquer their demons to find their peace with faith. Each book was amazing, but each story was just a bit better than the previous one. I’m not sure how that was possible except that maybe as a reader, I became more deeply involved with the Marshall family. I’m not ashamed to admit that there were several places in this book that brought me to tears. This is definitely a series worth reading and rereading.
Ruby Jane has lived in the shadows of her four heroic brothers. The need to prove she can take care of herself drives her into extremely dangerous situations. As an analyst for the CIA, she envisions herself as Sydney Bristow, super spy.
York is haunted by the trauma of losing his missionary parents at a young age. His position within the CIA has him questioning his character. He longs to be free from his past.
I was immediately drawn into the story. The danger and suspense kept me turning the pages. I love how Ms. Warren weaves spiritual truths into her epic adventures!
Recommend to those who enjoy inspirational, romantic suspense.
Excellent ending to this fantastic series! I’m sad that it’s over as it definitely left me wanting more!
Ruby Jane is a roller coaster ride of a finale for the Montana Marshalls. There are joy and sorrow, makeups and breakups, and heroes and villains. We finally have answers to questions first raised in Knox, and the Montana Marshalls series comes to a fitting conclusion.

LOVED this whole series. So glad I waited until all were released. I read them all in 2 weeks! Susan doesn’t disappoint with this Marshalls series. I loved them all. Great suspense going from novel to the next. Had my on the edge of my seat.
This was a great ending to the Montana Marshalls series. Wonderful story by a wonderful author!
Ruby Jane is the thrilling conclusion to the Montana Marshalls series. I’m sad to see the series end, but, wow, what an action-packed and heart-pounding ending it was!
I’m sitting here trying to figure out what to say without spoiling anything. I want to talk about ALL THE THINGS. I’m about to burst with it all, but I certainly don’t want to ruin the thrill for anyone else. I guess I’ll start by saying, if you’ve been enjoying this series, you won’t be disappointed. If you haven’t started the series yet, grab a copy of book one and be prepared for a suspense-filled adventure you won’t be able to put down.
From beginning to end, Ruby Jane had my emotions all over the place. There were moments of heart-racing anxiety, laughter, tears, profound and soul-lifting moments of faith. There were a couple frustrating moments, as well, at least for me. Namely, Glo. Maybe it was just the kind of mood I was in, I don’t know, but I had zero patience for her dramatics. Other than that, I absolutely loved it and wouldn’t mind visiting the Montana Marshalls again sometime in the future. There’s still a few questions I want answered.
Ruby Jane is the highly anticipated conclusion to the Marshall Family series by Susan May Warren. Once again, Susan May Warren doesn’t disappoint. I found myself quickly drawn into this series, and each story left me anxious for the next. If you enjoy epic romantic adventures, this is definitely a series you should read.
Ruby Jane, or RJ, is a CIA analyst and the youngest sibling—and only girl—of the family. With five protective older brothers, she wants to stand on her own instead of having them rush to her rescue. While in Russia, she met York Newgate, an American agent living there. Her story opens with the devastating news that the vehicle he had been riding in was in an accident, and there were no survivors. RJ is convinced that York is still alive, and no one can shake that conviction. When she sees a man on the news who bears a striking resemblance to York, she is determined to seek out the truth.
RJ has long felt the need to prove herself. She also has a hard time accepting that she could be wanted and loved for who she is. I could identify with RJ, and that is part of what I love about Susan’s stories. Her characters are so believable that I feel like they are close friends.
Susan May Warren does a great job writing family series. She has brought all of the siblings into each other’s stories, and this one felt like a family reunion at the end. The oldest brother Reuben’s story can be found in Burnin’ for You (the Montana Fire series).
I thoroughly enjoyed this series, and I would have a hard time choosing a favorite. Since the stories all tie together and pick up right where the previous one left off, it is my recommendation that it be read in order. They are all action-packed as well as romantic and inspirational. I had a hard time putting any of them down until I was done.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author/publisher and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.
The Montana Marshalls just keep getting better and better. The epic arrival of Ruby Jane does not disappoint. So many themes, plot twists and inspirational “life lessons” make this book unforgettable. From flawless writing to hidden humor (a bunch of guys in the bathroom together, really?! Hilarious!) it was such a fun book to read but I often had to force myself to slow down so I wouldn’t miss the good stuff. There is so much more to this book than just a love story full of adventure. While Susan Mary Warren does not disappoint on those levels, you’ll be challenged, encouraged, and loved as a reader. It’s a book that will keep you thinking even after turning the final page.
In a big family, it’s often easy to have jealousy, feel you’re missed, feel you don’t measure up, have a need to make your own way. Each sibling struggled with this at some point and the crescendo of Ruby Jane sums it up: “We are Marshalls. We are not alone.” I cannot use “thrilling conclusion” for Ruby Jane, as there has to be more to come, but with such a satisfying ending my heart is not strung along but eagerly awaiting the next series, which overlaps the Marshall’s. SMW has become a favorite author, and this is by far, one of my favorite series of all times.
Susan May Warren is a master story crafter. This is a compelling, fast past ending to her Marshall Family Saga. Well-written, fantastic characters, and a great ending for Ruby Jane and York. A fantastic theme, that when it’s all playing out, God is enough. Always.
If you like stories that don’t end with any loose ends, be warned. This series has potential to be the launch into more. While this book concluded Ruby Jane and York’s story, the story plot with Reba Jackson that runs through this series, I felt was left open. The preview for the next book continues in the same story world, and it’s possible and hopeful that Jackson will return.
Ruby Jane is just as addictive as her brothers. Such an amazing book.
Another fast-paced, intense, action packed book for the finish in the Montana Marshalls series. As usual, Susan May Warren has produced another winning story as only she can. There are many twists and turns, suspenseful moments along with the perfect amount of romance. I really didn’t want this series to end, I’ve enjoyed it so much. Highly recommend this series from book one through this finish. They’re all a must read.
Ruby Jane never thought she’d meet the man of her dreams while running from the police in Russia. That he’d steal her heart on a train to Siberia. But loving a former CIA officer comes with a price…a life of danger. A life of high stakes.
A life where he simply disappears…
He has no memory of the man he was.
Mack Jones has no memory of his past…just the dark sense that he is hiding. And, he wants to stay that way. Mack likes the life he’s built in a small tourist town, tucked away beyond the mountains, and has no desire to dig around in the gray areas of his memory.
When his place of business catches fire and Mack rescues the owner, he makes the news, which of course alerts the past he’s hoping to outrun.
The only person who can help him is a mysterious woman he doesn’t remember.
But a woman he desperately needs.
This is book 5 and the conclusion of the Montana Marshalls series. And what an exciting conclusion it is. Ruby Jane does not believe that York is dead. She does not give up hope and continues to search for him. Of course he isn’t dead, as there wouldn’t be a story with him being dead. This is her journey to find him. Once she does she discovers he has lost his memory. Mack has flashes of memory. What he remembers, he doesn’t like very well. He isn’t so sure he wants to become that person again. He doesn’t really have a choice as those that were after him in the previous books are still hot on his trail. All the Marshall’s ban together to catch the terrorists.
If you haven’t read the previous books in this series, it is a must. Otherwise you won’t really understand what is going on. But they are all great books. Edge of your seat suspense. I stayed up late reading these books. The only thing I would like to know is who the traitor is at the end of the book. I highly recommend all five books in the series.
I was given this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.
