Good story.
This was a really good book until I got to the end. I feel like there was still so much more the author could have done with it. Good book but disappointing at the end.
The plot was plausible. Character development was disjointed relative to initial plot. I would not read again.
Interesting story about an American family with 2 teenage boys. When one ends up in jail overnight, the family decides to fly to Africa on a mission trip. On the way to the mission, they get sidetracked and kidnapped by some young rebels. There are interesting characters, lots of twists and turns, and unexpected results. It is sometimes hard to follow, but it is rather satisfying in the end.
I thought it was very hard to follow.
Poorly written and unrealistic of African life. Didn’t finish.
Good read!
Read 15% of the book and could not get into it. Sorry
I enjoyed the book. I thought the beginning was irrelevant to the story and the ending was too abrupt. In between was a good read.
Thought she could have written and more detailed ending in regards to the older brother getting out of prison and what happened when they got back home? Just seemed like she wrapped it up kinda short.
A real page turner and easy to read.
Could not get interested
An unusual story. It seems like the first episode of a long story. I was surprised as easily the characters absorbed the murders in the river.
It didn’t hold my interest. Sorry.
Couldn’t even finish it and I usually finish all my books
