In this book Elle takes on some difficult subjects and there are scenes that could be a trigger for some people. She not only addresses suicide and the aftermath, but she also brings breast cancer into this story but not how you might expect.
Tymber sees Ivy trying to peak into a room where a meeting is in progress. Not knowing her story but sensing she needs to talk he approaches her.
Ivy needs to work out the emotions she has building, but didn’t have the courage to enter the room. In Tymber she finds someone she can connect with, and that surprised her.
As this story plays out, we meet the brothers of Ivy’s best friend who killed himself. They believe she was Luke’s girlfriend, when in fact Damien was the man in Luke’s life. They take exception when Ivy starts dating Tymber and things get wild.
A wild, intense, satisfying read, with plenty of heat in more ways than one.
4 heartfelt stars
Royally Twisted is the first book in a new MC series from Elle Boon. It features Tymber, who is a survivor of male breast cancer, and Ivy, who is trying to survive the death of her close friend. Neither was looking for (or even thinking about) romance or anything permanent, but a chance meeting was exactly what they each needed. I recommend having a box of tissues nearby. Thank you Ms. Boon for an interedting story filled with great characters, tears, angst, a little danger, some heat, and a happy ever after.
This book was originally in the boxset, Because He’s Perfect. A new epilogue has been added.
I received a copy of this book from the author. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor.
This book talk about suicide and cancer. Tymber is a cancer survivor, Ivy’s best friend committed suicide, after that happen, Ivy herself was contemplating suicide.
They both went thru a lot and they deserve happiness.
Wonderful story.
Mrs elle boon has done an amazing job of extending this book from the boxset and making it just as magical as all her other books.
I really enjoyed this book with the touch on very real issues of cancer.
This story is about Tymber, who is a breast cancer survivor and Ivy, who is a person dealing with the suicide of a very close friend. They meet accidentally at a group meeting place. Their story takes them on a bumpy ride with lots of emotional up and downs with both surviving horrific circumstances.
The book has strong alpha males, sexy-ass men, tattoos, motorcycle clubs and true support of family. If you like any of those, you will love this book and be eagerly waiting for the next book.
This novella is the first book in a new series. When Tymber meets Ivy they have an instant attraction, but after suffering a life changing event Tymber can tell there is sadness hiding behind Ivy’s smiles. Ivy has recently suffered a tragedy and she feels lost and alone. Will Tymber be able to help her see the beauty around her? I really enjoyed this book which does deal with some very heavy subjects. It may involve some triggers for certain people
