“Passion, pleasure, and princely responsibilities make this sexy fairy tale a real page turner.” —Audrey Carlan, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Calendar GirlNicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka “His Royal Hotness,” is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant―hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you. Then, … constantly bowing down to you.
Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark haired beauty who doesn’t bow down. Instead, she throws a pie in his face.
Nicholas wants to find out if she tastes as good as her pie, and this heir apparent is used to getting what he wants.
Dating a prince isn’t what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be.There’s a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny. While they’ve traded in horse drawn carriages for Rolls Royces and haven’t chopped anyone’s head off lately―the royals are far from accepting of this commoner.
But to Olivia―Nicholas is worth it.
Nicholas grew up with the whole world watching, and now Marriage Watch is in full force. In the end, Nicholas has to decide who he is and, more importantly, who he wants to be: a King… or the man who gets to love Olivia forever.

This ENTIRE series is wonderful. I’m new to the Emma Chase fan club, but she’s hooked me with this series. She writes flawed, likable characters flawlessly, and she has the amazing ability to give each of them unique voices. My goal was to read more this year, and I’ve read 3 of her books in less than a week. I’m sad this series will be finished before the week’s over. If you love romance, witty banter, steam, and amazing character development, check out her books. But clear some time in your calendar first.
Such a fun read- especially after Harry & Meghan’s wedding. It makes you want to be the pretty girl slaving away in a restaurant who catches the eye of a handsome prince.
Cute fun silly book with great characters and fun story line. Love the series.
Now ths book kept my interest
This book. This series. So freaking good. Read it. Start from book 1 and read it. It will be well worth your time and money.
This book is so good you’ll want to read the whole series.
Predictable
Royally Screwed is a book I will re-read more than once. It was more than just romantic, it had me laughing, screaming at the characters, and satisfied when they listened to me. It was as if I knew them and rooted for them when trouble hit. It’s a must read if you enjoy a good romance that shows the rough idiotic human moments that have us shouting.
Fun reading
Snarky entitled prince gets his comeuppance when he meets a down to earth working girl. I loved this Cinderella type story. Predictable? Sure but Philip and Olivia are so likable and the supporting cast including Ellie and the bodyguards are perfect so you can’t help but love the story
Fun read
I adored this modern day fairytale; the lovable characters instantly drew me in to the story. There were some heartbreaking moments, but overall this amazing story was romantic, steamy, heartwarming and left me with that cloud-nine happily ever after feeling we all crave.
It was slow moving in some parts. Interesting twists; and the conclusion was satisfying.
A really fun read…I liked it so much that I saved it to my personal library.
Nothing better than a Prince with a heart of Gold, scams, fighting the bad guys, a broken heart with tabloid rumors, tears and a not so royal ending.
I love Emma Chase books, this was a great start to a new series. Nicholas a crown prince and alpha male, and Olivia a struggling NY waitress. It was like a modern day Cinderella, but the end really switched that up. It was an engaging read from beginning to end. I liked all the characters and the whole story felt plausible even though the premise was about royalty. It was a great book.
I royally can’t believe I just read this!
Nicholas, Crowned Prince of Wessco, meets Olivia, a dark haired beauty who who was not impressed with his arrogance and charm. Intrigued, he sets out to pursue her, and he ends up falling in love with the beautiful waitress.
Nicholas and Olivia had to battle the travails and perceptions of royalty, and, while Olivia wore her heart on her sleeve, it would take for Nicholas to choose between his duty to his country and the crown or his love for Olivia, to find true happiness.
Several months ago Royally Screwed was suggested to me as my next read. I was not interested then, as I thought that it would be just like any other “prince meets commoner” love story.
Now that I had the chance to read it, am I so glad to be wrong! Hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time, the story brought to mind the struggle one keeps when forced to choose between one’s own happiness or that of others, to keep the peace.
Should we let the opinion of others, of society, drown what our hearts are telling us? Nowadays it seems that the world’s psyche is being run by social media. People are succumbing to the pressure of posts telling us that “we are eating this wrong, we are chopping this wrong, we are teaching this wrong, etc.” Next thing we know, we will be told that we are “breathing this wrong.”
But what, is it, that we really want? Emma Chase, through Nicholas and Olivia’s story, tells us to look deep into in our hearts.
I did, and I thank her for it.
I am not even done with this book yet but I absolutely love it. I only have a few min to read each night and this book makes me want to stay up late and keep reading even though I shouldn’t. I love the chemistry between the characters and find myself laughing at many parts. I love a humorous book that is written with wit and gives a different light to the “billionaire romances”. <3
Entertaining, fun and lighthearted read. Royally Screwed will have you hooked from page one. Now I’m off to read the rest of the books in the series.
Loosely based on the English monarch, it was fun to see the authors in take on it and make an original romantic story.
