“Passion, pleasure, and princely responsibilities make this sexy fairy tale a real page turner.” —Audrey Carlan, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Calendar GirlNicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka “His Royal Hotness,” is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant―hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you. Then, … constantly bowing down to you.
Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark haired beauty who doesn’t bow down. Instead, she throws a pie in his face.
Nicholas wants to find out if she tastes as good as her pie, and this heir apparent is used to getting what he wants.
Dating a prince isn’t what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be.There’s a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny. While they’ve traded in horse drawn carriages for Rolls Royces and haven’t chopped anyone’s head off lately―the royals are far from accepting of this commoner.
But to Olivia―Nicholas is worth it.
Nicholas grew up with the whole world watching, and now Marriage Watch is in full force. In the end, Nicholas has to decide who he is and, more importantly, who he wants to be: a King… or the man who gets to love Olivia forever.

I love Emma’s writing and world building. I highly recommend this book!
If you’re looking for a sexy escape, a great beach read, then I highly recommend the first book in Emma Chase’s Royally series. A prince, a baker, and a fairy-tale ending worthy of Cinderella. What more could a romance lover crave?
I listened to the audiobook of Royally Screwed on a long drive home from Florida. I thoroughly LOVED this enchanting story. Nicholas is positively swoonworthy and Olivia was an amazingly likable heroine. One of the best books I’ve read in a long time. Emma is a master storyteller. Highly highly recommend!
Royally Screwed is the first installment in Emma Chase’s adult contemporary romance series titled Royally. Based on my personal reading experience, this storyline was familiar, predictable, sexy, and sigh-inspiring. What can I say, I’m a sucker for romances between a royal prince and an ordinary girl. Cinderella is a classic for a reason
I love a book like this–one with an agonizing journey that results in the happiest of endings.
What’s not to love? It’s a modern day fairytale, complete with dreamy prince, the perfect amount of steam, and dialogue that had me laughing as I read. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Love this book, love the whole series. One of the great “falling for a royal” tropes that is believable and has great, fun-loving characters. Great read.
“I was known before I was born and my name will be blazoned in history long after I’m dust in the ground. Infamy is temporary, celebrity is fleeting, but royalty…royalty is forever.”
I’ve already read books from this series and now I got to read the first one. Messy? Who cares!
This book was a nice intro to the series. That ending! *swoon* I can’t wait to read more.
Royally Screwed stole my heart in a beat. The moment Prince Nicholas was introduced I was enamored by his charms, confidence and humor. Despite being a man of power, he is still holds true to his honor and dignity. Always doing what’s best for his people.
Then comes in Olivia and from the moment they met, sparks flew. In amidst of a quite humorous first encounter, their chemistry was palpable. From their cute banters to falling in love, my heart was expanding with love. It was so endearing to see how they grew to understand, care and love each other. They were like each other’s breath of fresh air.
But when reality of being a Prince comes back and Nicholas is to return back to his country, Olivia is introduced to a world she’d never imagined.
Emma Chase certainly knows how to keep her readers on edge and wanting more. I’ve blushed, laughed and cried as I read. It’s no doubt that Nicholas is on my list of book boyfriend. If Princes were like Nicholas, who wouldn’t want a prince?
Yes! I have returned to a world of Emma Chase’s creation. Royally Screwed is the first in the Royally series by Ms Chase. Her signature snark and humor is as evident in this one as it is in all her other books. While Tangled remains my favorite series, this one has definite potential to rival it.
Nicholas is the crown prince of Wessco who has been sent to retrieve his wayward younger brother from the States and bring him home. While in NYC, Nicholas stops into Amelia’s bakery and is instantly intrigued by Olivia who has no idea who in the heck he is. She may just be the only person alive who doesn’t have a clue who he is. Even when she finds out she isn’t as impressed as you may think she should be. Thus begins a fairy tale romance that takes two people on the ride of their lives. A ride that has a definite expiration date…….
Royally Screwed is a fun, entertaining, and quick read that will have you laughing out loud. I’d really, really like for Drew (Tangled) and Nicholas to meet….
This is totally what a girls’ dreams are made of! A great modern fairy tale.
It’s an easy read, mostly predictable but with Emma’s entertaining writing, I was sucked right into this story. Don’t know why I waited so long to read it. Can’t wait to watch the movie! Absolutely my thing <3
"I love you, Olivia. I don’t need a kingdom—if you’re beside me, I already have the whole world.”
I ADORE Emma Chase. Love all of her books, and this is the start of the Royally Series. HEA? Yes. Good romp? Sure. But the reason that I come back again and again (and again….) is her dialogue. She nails the witty banter between H/h and I can guarantee that at least once -usually more- you will literally LOL. The BEST part of her dialogue is the POV from the guy. So spot on it makes me wonder if she was one in a previous life 😉 Want a quick fun read? This is it.

The heroine: Olivia Hammond – she works in a coffee and pie shop owned by her family. Her mother died years ago and her father has been no help ever since. Olivia is behind on payments and trying to keep things together for her younger sister.
The Hero(es): Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, a.k.a. “His Royal Hotness” – he lost his parents when he was young. His grandmother the queen insists that he get married soon and gives him until the end of the summer. She gives him a list of “suitable” candidates to consider before the announcement at the end of the summer.
The Story: Nicholas meets Olivia when he travels to New York for the summer where he plans to have meetings and appearances. They spend time together with the knowledge that it will end at the end of the summer.
“Infamy is temporary, celebrity is fleeting, but royalty…royalty is forever.”
There are laws in Wessco with regards to who a royal can marry. A future queen must be a virgin and have royal blood. Olivia doesn’t meet that criteria and both her and Nicholas know that nothing can change that fact as their time together nears an end.
I really liked the story and the characters in this book. There were some pretty woman moments as Olivia who is a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl is outfitted for being seen with a prince. It is even better when Nicholas has to return early to the Castle in Wessco and wants Olivia to go with him.
The narration was fantastic! Shane East has a perfect voice and accent for a prince. He has the proper english accent for a royal, and his voice is deep and the naughty bits don’t sound odd coming from him. Andi Arndt does a great job as well as an American working stiff.
I skipped through a lot of it but I wanted to find out how it ended.
This book was a lot of fun. I am a sucker for these Royal romances and this one was very well done .
Really cute. Different plot.
Fantastic book, great read
Their relationship started with a pie in the face. I mean, the hero totally deserved it after being drunk and rude. So begins the magically and oh-so-filthy love story between Prince Nicholas and Olivia.u2060
Nicholas is a curmudgeon dealing with the pressures of running a kingdom. He is in the United States, trying to track down his more carefree brother.u2060

Olivia is a smart wit with an equally sharp tongue who won’t take any of his crap. She is also dealing with the stresses of keeping her mom’s pie shop in business.u2060

I know “The Prince and Me” trope can be overdone, but what I loved about this book was the character development. Nicholas isn’t your typical “stuck-up, spoiled prince” sent away to gain some sense of responsibility. Olivia isn’t starstrucked with his wealth and power, either. I love their banter, and their chemistry was off the charts. u2060

This was a great story but the language could have been cleaned up a lot. The F word was waaaay over used.
Loved the author’s way with a pun! Very sweet story.
