A hockey-playing prince, a most improper lady, and one accidental pregnancy… When you’re an heir so spare that getting attacked by a shark is more likely than you ever wearing the crown, you’re only allowed certain liberties. Yet still, those liberties can bite you in the ass.Good thing I’m such a charming devil.Even then, I’ve been banished to America for a year under the pretense of playing … under the pretense of playing professional hockey while my father cleans up my latest mess. But trouble follows me wherever I go. Generally trouble of the beautiful female variety, and Gracie Diamonte is no exception. Or possibly, she’s the best exception.
Until the dinosaur suit. The cookie incident. And the accidental pregnancy.
Of course I’ll do the right thing.
Just as soon as I solve that pesky problem of my royal betrothal.
I’m about to be the biggest scandal to rock my country and there’s a good chance my father may throw me to the sharks after all. The funny thing is I’ve heard that raising children may not be so different from swimming with the sharks. So no matter how you look at things I am Royally Pucked.
Royally Pucked is a hilariously wrong romance between a spare heir and the lady least likely to ever wear a princess crown, complete with dirty cookies, an emotional support monkey, and lots of pucking around. This romantic comedy stands alone with no cheating, cliffhangers and ends happily with a family of…more than two.

Royally Pucked is the second book in the The Copper Valley Thrusters series and the second book by Pippa Grant I had the chance to read. Once again, the author took me on a humorous journey with Gracie and Manning. Gracie is kind, wonderful and very strong person. She never lets anything defeat her. Manning on the other hand always tries to do the right thing, yet he fails miserably. Behind his good looks and charming smile is hidden a beautiful person, lost between love and duty to his family. I love how Pippa is mixing all these different ingredients and knows how to make a story that would make you laugh and cry and love it at the same time. I really recommend this book to all romance lovers; you won’t regret it.
great read
It was a cute story line and an enjoyable read. It didn’t have as much story development or character growth as I usually go for but I did really enjoy the humor and sass of the female lead.
I love a book that includes a happy, sunshine and quirky girl and a tortured hero. This book has a little bit of everything – sweet moments, fan your face steamy, side splitting hilarity, tearful scenes, and heart squeezing love. Gracie and Manning’s love story has all the feels – expect to laugh and cry. Plus there are x-rated cookies and an emotional support monkey. On the surface, Gracie and Manning appear to be opposites. Manning is a prince from a small European country who has been relegated to the United States to play professional hockey and clean up his image before he has to return to marry the woman he was betrothed to when he was 10. Manning is determined to smile through everything. Gracie is a small town southern baker who barely passed high school, secretly sells x-rated cookies, swears too much and is definitely not princess material. After meeting at a charity event, Gracie and Manning have one quick sexual encounter in the locker room of the hockey team that leads to an unexpected pregnancy, and that is where the hilarity begins. On their way to their HEA, Gracie and Manning have to both learn a lot about love, family, duty, and embracing who you are. While they follow the inevitable path to being together, it is painfully hilarious to watch their growth and missteps. Sprinkled liberally throughout this beautifully paced story of Gracie and Manning’s HEA, there are also a number of characters from the Pippa Universe in this book. They are woven seamlessly into this story so rather than being overwhelming or detracting from the main love story, these characters are beautiful and hilarious additions to the unfurling of Gracie and Manning’s dance of love, passion and hilarity. With Royally Pucked, Pippa Grant once again proves she’s the queen of rom-coms. And Manning is indeed a swoon worthy book boyfriend.
I love her books. They are so much fun and leave you smiling
I’ve just finished the first three books in Pippa Grant’s The Thrusters Hockey Series. Yup, addictively read them one after another (plus the freebie extra epilogues kindly provided via links at the end of each book), laughing (and nearly peeing at times) all the way through. These books are not only perfect romantic comedies they’re perfect romance tales. Period. I don’t know who I’d rather be, super tough pilot Joey, better than a princess Gracie or super brainy ventriloquist (and so much more) Felicity. They are all super heroines. If I can’t be them I wish I had them as close friends, and really love the super-hunks they ended up with (and not just because hockey is my favorite sport). All three books are highly recommended – and I can’t wait to read through book 4 which I’m about to start.
Loved this book along with the audiobook, both are great fun. My favorite of this series so far. Manning and Gracie are adorable. Laughter, humor, romance, drama and a small amount of slapstick, make this a top read.
4.5 Hilarious Royal RomCom Stars!
This hilarious romcom was fun and sizzling from the very beginning and never slowed down. Manning is a real Prince from Stölland. He is not in line to become king but has been banished for a bit so they can clean up his latest scandals. Because he loves and played hockey on Stölland’s olympic team, he moved to America to play on a professional hockey team there. He meets and is intrigued by Gracie, a fiesty, beautiful baker. They have a night of fiery passion that results in Gracie getting pregnant. She is determined to raise her baby on her own, without trapping Manning, but would like him to be involved. Manning is surprised by how much he wants Gracie and their baby. When unexpected royal duties get in the way, Manning tries to protect them by leaving. But Gracie doesn’t want him to suffer his fate if she can help him. But can a sheltered southern girl with a potty mouth be enough to defy a king and save Manning? I love how strong Gracie is despite her insecurities about some things. She is smart, loyal and spunky and the perfect match for the sweet, and swoony Manning.
This entertaining story is brought to life beautifully by Jacob Morgan, and Virginia Rose. I love both their voices, along with their flawless comedic timing and dynamic voice changes as they delivered the clever, fast paced, snarky banter. They made me laugh, swoon and cheer for Manning and Gracie’s HEA. They made this hilarious, heartfelt, and steamy story even better.
3.5 ’s
I’m going to admit, that it could just be me, but I struggled for the first half of this book. It was a little jumpy and I felt I was missing things and it didn’t feel as complete as a PG book can be. I also felt the term m’lady was over used and was actually incorrect in its use. It’s not something a Royal would say, it’s more a term a servant would say to an upperclass woman or lady. Is it worth picking up and learning more and baker Gracie and his highness hockey player Manning? For sure. It’s a great story with plenty of humor, cameos from previous couples which includes grunts from Ares.
Manning being a Royal has certain commitments he needs to uphold and falling for the sweetest baker wasn’t one of them. I loved how Gracie found her own, and stood up for not only herself but those she loves from family to friends to Manning. He too had a heart of gold and treasured her wholeheartedly. Even though Elin wasn’t anyone’s favorite, I do wonder what happened to her. And coming back to Ares, his book is next on my list and I’m excited to see how he finds his HEA.
Laughed out loud at this book, as I do with all of Pippa’s books. Loved the “dirty” cookies!
I had so much fun reading this book. But for some reason, it’s just not sticking with me. I loved Gracie’s spunk and independent attitude in the previous book, however there’s not as much of it in evidence this time around. Manning is still the Clown Prince, and we see some hints that there’s a lot more behind this behavior. I just don’t remember seeing a good explanation for what was driving him to act out this way. (I don’t consider his hated betrothal to be a good excuse.) There’re some seeds in here that could have made the story utterly fantastic; such as if it had dug in more about Gracie’s dyslexia. I also thought the ending wrapped up too quickly for my preferences. There’s stuff that happens before the epilogue that I want to know more about, especially Elin’s somewhat cryptic phone call at the end.
Oh my goodness, these hockey books have been such a joy to read! And for someone who had never read a hockey romance, I may be ruined for all other series. Manning is a total sweetheart and Gracie may just be my favorite female character in the entire series.
Gracie & Manning’s story! Gracie is Joey’s sweet little sister. She is a baker who does custom online orders, dirty cookies . Manning is a prince who she flirted with to annoy Joey. Manning orders cookies from Gracie & she hand delivers them. Sparks fly & Gracie ends up pregnant! Yup, it’s true, it only takes one time. Manning is the man who always has a smile on his face. He annoys Joey, she threatens him, he smiles. Manning gets pushed into the boards & a fat lip playing hockey, he smiles. His betrothed shows up right after Gracie tells him she’s pregnant, umm, I don’t remember any smiling. Poor Manning, he wants Gracie & does not want to be betrothed but he doesn’t see a way out of it, princely reasons. How do Gracie & Manning get their happiness? You’ve got to read this book to find out! It’s a great read and you get more Zeus & Ares! Win, win all around.
Wonderful rom-com about Manning, a royal with everything material but no one to share his heart. Gracie comes from the poor side of town with not a lot of material goods but a heart of gold to share. Add in Elin, Manning’s arranged marriage fiancée, and let the fun begin. Gracie can see through Manning’s perpetual smile to the unhappy man beneath and she sets out to save him from a miserable life. A majority of the characters from the first 2 books find their way into the story as well as new members of the supporting cast. But this is no shallow dime romance. The plot is extremely clever and the cast members are fully developed. You can probably guess this will have an HEA, but you won’t be able to figure out how they get there. And you will never look at dinosaurs and cookies the same as you did before. Oh, and the three epilogues…. If you want to feel good, laugh and smile, give this a read. Now on to the next book in the series.
A ballsy, tell-it-like-it-is southern girl with a Royal baby? Her baby daddy betrothed to another? Can love conquer all with a giant, grunting, hockey hotshot and a therapy monkey hanging around? Another must read!!
Every book I’ve read by this author is absolutely hilarious!! In the two weeks I’ve been binging her books, I’ve embarrassed myself more times that I can count by busting out laughing while reading in public. I have to learn to exercise caution reading these books!!
I didn’t know what to expect about the spare to the spare heir of a small country and the younger, massively overprotected sister of a pilot but what I got was a hilarious oops-baby book between two of the happiest, most positive characters I’ve ever read.
Book Review: Royally Pucked
Author: Pippa Grant
FIVE STARS
I am a Kindle Unlimited subscriber and I must say I DEFINATELY got my moneys worth these past few days. I have binge read the entire Pippa Grant Hockey series, maybe it isn’t a series per say but OH MY DOG!!! These books are fabulous. I have fallen in love with all of the characters, I haven’t laughed out loud like this while reading in forever.
It is so nice to just be able to be drawn into a book and just feel like you are right there along side all of the characters, it is really unique to have characters that actually TALK to the reader like you are sitting in the room with them. This happened in every single book that I read.
All of these books are written in Dual point of view and it is facinating to hear the thoughts of each character. I am going to hate when I make it through all of the books by Pippa Grant and I may just have to re-read them all over and over again. Seriously wanting to save up some money and just order the Paper backs so that I have them forever and can share them with my friends.
Thank you Ms. Grant for making my entire weekend!!!

Love her characters!
Genre: Romance – Comedy, royalty, accidental pregnancy, friends-to-lovers

Part of a Series: No but all of Pippa Grant’s books are set in the same world so have interconnecting characters.
POV: Manning and Gracie

4/5
I love Gracie and Manning!!! This book was cheeky funny but also had a great message of fighting for those you love. Royally Pucked was sweet and sexy and sometimes I wanted to beat Manning. I adore Viktor and hope he gets a book of this own as well. (The rockstar too – his name is escaping me at the moment, must be all the helium.) There’s much I can say without giving away jokes or ruining this story so I’ll just say that if you love romantic comedies then check out Pippa Grant’s books. They’re sweet, funny, and sexy with hilarious situations that have you laughing at inappropriate times. Royally pucked was no exception.
I adored Gracie, she was all sweetness and light on the outside, but deep down she was tougher than she knew…brave, strong a fighter…and Manning, he came across as a tough guy, but he wasn’t…and boy did he p*ss me off in this book, a lot!!
Appreciate more than her cookies man
I know he was trying to be noble, and do right by everybody, but he came across at times as a giant tool at times in the process…luckily, he gets the chance for redemption, and he makes the most of it
