Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap. He’s not handling it well.Hoping to help her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora agrees to give him “space”—but while the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an … chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:
Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.
A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world’s most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.
While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.
The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit… and her naughty sense of humor.
But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.
As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like, Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.

This was one of the best books I’ve read this month! The relationship between Henry and Sarah was so sweet! I’ve always been a huge fan of the shy librarian heroine and I adored watching Sarah come out of her shell under Henry’s encouragement. And Henry, wow, just wow. He’s a prince who has suddenly been thrust into the role of heir and not dealing with it very well. While I wasn’t the biggest fan of the “Royal Bachelor” plot, I did think it was an excellent way for Henry and Sarah to get to know each other. They both had fears to overcome and I loved how they worked through them together!
Loved the characters, just enough steam.
Enjoyable, however I didnt really like the last few chapters.
Emma Chase writing Royals may now be my favorite version of her. I mean, I love the Emma Chase who writes office romance, but this… *sigh* Reading Royally Matched made me feel how fun it was for her writing this because it just shows on every page. If you adored Royally Screwed, I AM SURE you will LOVE Royally Matched! It’s like crack, you know? HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. Once you start reading, it’s going to be tough to stop. Honestly, I’m having a pretty hard time putting my Royally Matched feels into words because I believe that nothing in my vocabulary would be enough to do this book justice. It’s flawlessly written– it’s smooth and very consistent. This book will definitely make your little bookish heart HAPPY and very much IN LOVE.
I rarely say this but I’m declaring this now LOUD and PROUD– Royally Matched is a TOP READ for me this 2017! Hell, it’s one of my TOP READS ever! Read that? E V E R! This is the kind of book that will make you commit all the possible credit card debts because damn, you’d just want to gift it to all of your reader friends and share all the great feelings with them! Yes, it’s that GREAT. May you be in a book funk or just looking for a weekend read, this is something you should grab. Every nanosecond you spend reading this book is nothing but pure bliss and fun. I couldn’t believe that Emma Chase could still be GREATER at writing romantic comedy. *sigh*
Emma Chase is the QUEEN– Queen of Romantic Comedy novels and the Queen of Male POV. And you know what? Nobody could beat this author at what she does best. ROYALLY MATCHED just proved that.
above is it!
Emma Chase is a wonderful writer. I have enjoyed the series. The book has little to do with the reality show. It is about two people, become stronger, better people together.
“The tale of an unruly prince who found the queen of his heart, and learned how to be a King.”
Just when you think Emma Chase can’t top a BBF (or story), she writes another novel! Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, crown Prince, heir to the thrown of Wessco, is JUST as alluring and captivating as his brother Nicolas (from book 1, ROYALLY SCREWED), but even more so. He has this “bad boy” persona that is oh so appealing, but yet there’s this underlying broken boy aspect. That side of him is tender, sweet and absolutely swoon-worthy. We were first introduced to Henry in ROYALLY SCREWED (Royally #1) and Emma Chase portrayed him as this “fallen Prince of Wessco”. He was flighty and unhinged. Goes wherever the wind takes him type of guy, but yet Emma showed us a crack in that façade, there was definitely more to his story than “life of the party Henry” and in ROYALLY MATCHED, we get to read all about it and his rise to the throne, all with the help of a certain lovely heroine. Emma brings us this phenomenal journey showing us how Henry goes from prince, who has always been “second” and never really taken seriously, to this prince who is now heir to the throne, who HAS to show the world (and himself) that he can be taken seriously. “Now I have to be the Henry no one wants to hand around with. Serious. Scholarly. Upstanding, even if it kills me – and it definitely night.” –Henry. With all this new pressure of being the future King, he has to learn how to find a balance between “free spirited Henry” and “Heir to the throne Henry”, otherwise he has the potential to fail everyone, himself included. Deep down inside he knows he has it in him to become the best King possible, the rightful King of Wessco, but he fears he’ll try his hardest and still fail. But all it takes is one shy girl, who brings out his natural protective instincts and pushes him to truly WANT to be a better man for her and his country and to ultimately be a righteous King. He just has to believe in himself. And through the eyes of the woman whom he begins to find unexpected love with, he does so.
ROYALLY MATCHED is another AMAZING modern-day royalty romance from Emma Chase that will leave you craving more with every chapter. It was EVERYTHING I had hoped for and then some! Emma built up my intrigue with Henry’s character almost instantly in book 1, ROYALLY SCREWED, and she did not disappoint on bringing his character to life! Henry and Sarah’s story was raw and real and left me with all the feels. Again, Emma packed it full of the right amount of hilarity moments to stay true to the characters personalities and to keep the reader giggling throughout the story. And she created the most PERFECT heroine for Henry…Sarah was the absolute best opposite for him and truly grounded him, but at the same time, he lifted her and helped her “spread her wings”. Together they taught each other how not to fear life and to just live it.
I was overjoyed with how this book was written and how it ended (even though I was sad to see it end). Now, I can NOT wait for ROYALLY ENDOWED (Royally #3), to see where this series goes! I would recommend this novel, in a heartbeat, to any and all romance lovers.

So, if you’ve read my review for Royally Screwed, then you’ll know I was a little uncertain about starting this series. After reading the first book, I had to know more. And when I met Henry, well let’s just say I was NOT going to be quitting the series anytime soon
Henry is not your stereotypical royal, although he seems like it when we’re first introduced. Getting to know Henry, and see him develop, was one of my favorite transformations. He is such a good man, but he doesn’t recognize it in himself. He has so much to offer to his family, his country, and just to himself.
SARAH! I seriously love this girl. First, she works at a LIBRARY! How cool?! Also, she seems so shy and apprehensive, that you almost miss the strength & sass she possesses. As I got to know her through the story, I found her to be one of my favorite female characters. There is so much hidden in her depths, that most everyone around misses and she is underestimated at every turn. Watching Henry & Sarah grow was just beautiful to me.
I loved reading this story. There was just enough fairytale to make it cute, but also enough real life to keep me grounded. Plus, this couple makes my heart seriously full of happy.
