A wildly funny, ridiculously romantic spinoff from best-selling author Melanie Summers… her leash considerably. Desperate for an out, she sneakily signs up to co-host a new nature docu-series, starring Will Banks, the man dubbed McHotty of the Wilderness.
Will has ladies all over the globe lining up to meet him until a hot, new adventurer comes on the scene, and his ratings take a nose-dive. Producers decide an emergency change in format is in order. Enter Princess Arabella. The pampered and proper royal is the perfect foil to Will’s rugged outdoorsman.
It’s hate at first sight, but their on-screen loathing makes for great television. Surprisingly, when the cameras stop rolling, these two finally see each other’s good sides. Can these opposites find their forever in each other’s arms, or will their differences be their undoing?

Princess Arabella wants to do something wild and crazy, just once, for the first time in her life. Crazy things like wear a red dress to a wedding. King Winston and the royal advisers will never allow this, of course. I mean, just think of the scandal! But this is where Will Banks comes in. He’s the star of an outdoors adventure show that’s unfortunately been falling in ratings. He gets a new showrunner with lots of ideas to shake things up, only one idea of which is a female co-host. Enter Arabella, who uses her in with the showrunner to fast-track her way into the co-host role. Will is reluctant to take her with him but feels that he has little other choice. Will Arabella surpass expectations? Will she and Will survive in the wilds? Will they overcome their differences and come out as fire-forged friends, or maybe more? Find out today.
I exceptionally enjoyed this read. I’ve so missed Princess Arabella and Avnonia, whom we first meet when Arabella’s brother Arthur hosts Tessa in their home in the Crown Jewels series, and I’ve been really looking forward to my next trip to Avonia. Even though we don’t spend that much time there this time, I thoroughly enjoyed this read and it provided a welcome escape into a fantasy for a little while, for which I am very grateful.

This book exceeded my expectations. When I started it I thought it was going to be a tacky The Princess Diaries kind of book. Don’t get me wrong, I love The Princess’ Diary… but when I was a kid. But thank God this one was so fun, sweet, and lighthearted. Making me laugh and smile a lot.
I liked the characters, though of course there were things that annoyed me, but that’s totally fine. I think the characters and the plot are well-developed and very well-written making it super enjoyable and easy to read.
Although the instant-love trope is one of my least favourites, this didn’t feel like that instant. Yes, there was an instant attraction but there was also an enemies-to-lovers stage and the right amount of disagreements. I just wished the enemies-to-lovers part would have lasted a tad longer, but it’s totally understandable if we consider that they had only 10 days to fall in love.
This is the first book I read by Melanie Summer, and after having glimpses of the other families and stories, I’m so tempted to read the previous book in this delightful world she has created.
Thanks to Melanie Summers, Xpresso Book Tours and NetGalley for the copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed going on this adventure with Arabella and Will. I liked how their story develops. How the tv show kind of fades into the background and focuses more on the characters themselves. I also enjoyed the dual points of view.
I really liked seeing both characters grow individually, especially Arabella. She goes from being timid and easily pushed around to a woman with a lot of courage and gumption. The conversation she finally has with her father was wonderful. It pulled at my heartstrings and shined some light on their situation.
If you’re looking for a story full of fun and humor but also sweet and touching this might be the book for you. (4.5)
I thought his was a cute read. I had fun reading it. I would definitely read the other books in the series.
Ahhh! I loved Melanie Summers’ Crown Jewels series, so I was excited about diving into her new royal romance series, Crazy Royal Love. ROYALLY CRUSHED is the first in this series, and oh my goodness, I loved it so much. It’s perfect royal princess meets Bear Grylls….so funny and heartwarming.
First in series, loved it. I will have to go back and read the other series based on some of the characters in this story. The story has plenty of romance and is very funny. The story even has a little suspense. Great read. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
I absolutely loved this book! I adored the Crown Jewel series, and couldn’t wait to get a book about Arabella, and Will from Paradise Bay, and loved their story together! Arabella is looking for more, and that leads her to an adventure in the jungle with Will! They don’t start out on the best foot, but I loved being along on their journey together! I love the growth, and Melanie once again writes a funny and heart-warming story and I can’t wait for the next in the series!
It’s a well written book
Frustrating in the beginning and a bit of a head scratcher when it comes to the family relationships
Worth the read

This is a fantastic new spin off series by Melanie Summers. I’m SO excited to see these characters blend together from the other two series and this first book is exactly what I’ve come to expect from this amazing author.
If you are looking for a hilarious light hearted ROM-COM book – then look no further. However, if you are new to this author – you need to go and start at the beginning with “Royal Treatment” – or not, I guess if you are someone who doesn’t care if they series series out of order. There aren’t any cliff hangers in the books – but the are all equally brilliant, so why not start at the beginning.
Regardless – this author is a must have to add to your book collection.
Happy Reading…enjoy!
Super funny, super cute! This was my first time reading something by Ms. Summers, and I absolutely loved it! So many laugh out loud moments, I could not put this book down. This is the perfect book to pick up when you’re bummed and you need something to lift your spirits. Will and Arabella are such a unique pair and I loved seeing Arabella grow as a person. I believe Will did some growing, too, as he started softening more towards her. These characters were amazing taking me through a heartfelt and hilarious journey. Ms. Summers is a talented author and knows how to put together a good story while keeping you thoroughly entertained. I’ll definitely be looking for more of her books!

I got an early birthday present from one of my fave RomCom writers when she released ROYALLY CRUSHED, which is the first book in her new Crazy Royal Love series. I really can’t gush enough about this book and think it might be my new favorite of hers.
If you loved the classic ‘80s film, Romancing the Stone, this book is definitely for you! It tells the story of Princess Arabella of Avonia who decides to flout royal rules and do a reality show (excuse me, docu-series) that plops her down in the middle of a jungle with professional adventurer Will Banks.
To say that Will is not thrilled to be saddled with a blue blood who’s never roughed it a day in her life is an understatement. What follows is both a battle of wills and a battle against nature as the pair learns they’ll need each other if they want to reach the finish line and achieve their goals. I adored this couple, both separately and together, and found their journey epic, entertaining, and swoonily romantic. I’m just sorry that The Wild World isn’t a real show because I would binge-watch the heck out of it!
This book is a wonderful read which will lighten up your mood. It features Arabella, a royal princess who wants to prove her worth by going on an adventure in the rain forest jungle, and Will, an adventure survivalist who agrees to take her for the bonus he needs. This delightful novel is full of fun and laugh out loud situations intermingled with a slow developing romantic journey for the characters. I highly recommend this heart warming romantic comedy.

A fun and entertaining read for sure, perfect for your summer reading list. It’s fun, sexy, has some action and definite laugh out loud moments. Amazing characters that keep you glued to the pages and a story line that is smooth flowing. Highly recommend!

A princess and a wilderness adventurer? Never, right? Opposites attract, that’s for sure. But still, they find themselves thrown together in a jungle survival situation reminiscent of the TV show Naked and Afraid. She’s Avonia’s darling princess, wrapped up in cotton wool, afraid to step out of line in her ladylike heels. He’s a commitmentphobe adventurer (not Bear Grylls, let’s get that clear from the outset), who can’t bear to be hemmed in. Let the games begin! I love Melanie Summers’s books, and this one is right up there for fun, humour, and those weak-at-the-knees swoon-worthy moments. Highly recommended.
This is book one in the new Crazy Royal Love Romantic Comedy series. Princess Arabella of Avonia is bored out of her mind, of course with one night out that became complicated, her freedom is reigned in even more. She signs up for a documentary nature show that just happens to have a hot host. Will Banks is the hot host and needs to change things up to save the show. People meet and have love at first sight, that is polar opposite with Arabella and Will experience. Can they two work together or will it all blow up? A great, funny, fast paced story. Enjoy!

Really enjoyed this laugh out loud, fun, sexy and action packed journey filled with engaging and interesting charters, witty banter, emotional twists and heart racing passion. So hard to put down from beginning to end. A greatly entertaining and exciting adventure!

Stuck in Avonia, Princess Arabella leads a boring and sheltered life. She applies to be on a reality TV show with a man who doesn’t like rich, stuck-up, do-nothing royals. Rating were down on Will’s show last season. The producers have changed the format, and he has no choice but to go along. He and Arabella are dropped into the rainforest with backpacks. They have ten days to make it out of the jungle. She almost doesn’t make it to the end of day one. The banter between these two is mostly amusing, sometimes tender and heartwarming. As they learn to trust, they confide deep secrets, and become friends and then more. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love the chapter titles – “Whiny Princesses and the People Who Love Them” is just so much better than “Chapter 5”, and more descriptive of what’s to come. And finally, the author’s dedication is very moving and so appropriate for these times.

Princess Arabella is fed up with having everything decided for her so she signs up to be Adventurer Will Banks cohost. Will is in ratings trouble the new director wants to radically change his show. This odd couple is great. The story has lots of adventure and humor. The characters are great. The story does continue in the next book but this book does not end on a cliff hanger. Great story!
