Once upon a time, humankind ruled the world while lycans and vampires lived in secret. This is no longer that time. Rae Blood Day–the culmination of my training. The day I find out my fate. I will not cry. I will not beg. I will remain calm. Emotions are for the weak, and I am not weak. My name is Rae and I will survive this. But I never expected him to call my name… Kylan Someone wants to … and I will survive this.
But I never expected him to call my name…
Kylan
Someone wants to frame me for immortal insanity? Be my guest, darling.
I’ll just pick a fighter as my bait, a consort with a hint of defiance.
And when the culprit attempts to bite, I’ll be the one who bites back.
Because no one touches what’s mine, including the fiery redhead at my side.
Welcome to Kylan City.
I dare you all to come out and play.
****
Oh, no. This wasn’t good. I couldn’t afford for Kylan to be interested, not with immortality dancing at my fingertips.
You can’t want me, I thought. But how did I convey that?
I… I…
Do something!
My jaw clenched in frustration, not knowing how to stop this–him. His grip on my chin tightened painfully, his growl vibrating my chest. It took me too long to realize why, to realize what I’d done.
His tongue was trapped between my teeth.
I’d just bitten him.
I’d just bitten a royal vampire.
And not just any royal vampire, but Kylan, the oldest royal in existence.

I don’t know how Foss comes up with her world building but man does she have some skills!!! This is an amazing world full of vampires, shifters, and human cattle that will really draw the reader in making it impossible to put down. It starts on Blood Day which was mentioned in book one though no real details were given. Well we get all the nitty gritty this time and it so blew my mind. The story revolves around Kylan as he makes a new acquisition to his harem which will change her life as she knows it. The couple from book one pop up a few times as well so we can catch up on how they are doing to. This book/series is perfect for fans of paranormal romance books. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Royally Bitten is the second in the Blood Alliance series. It was an encapsulating story that had me flipping the pages to reveal so many twists and turns that I never saw coming. Lexi truly brought the characters to life, I had my own private movie viewing and I didn’t want it to end.
Kylan and Rae’s story is one of constant battle of dominance, defiance and submission. Can an ancient royal see humans as more than just submissive pets strictly for food and entertainment? I’m not telling but you really need to read this! Happy reading!
Holy, I don’t even have WORDS, for what Lexi C. Foss put me through in Royally Bitten!!
Rae aka Raelynn is a complete and total bada$$ human who’s gone through the University system to try and make it as a Vigil or be selected as an Immortal, when she gets selected instead by Kylan the oldest Vampire in the realm besides the Goddess Queen.
Kylan is a 5,000 year old Vampire purported to be going insane as he ages, who may have in fact killed his entire human harem. He is not used to anyone questioning him, and is stunned when he kisses Raelynn, and she bites him!
Y’all this book rocked my effing socks! I spent time hollering at Lexi Foss in my head wondering exactly how bloody it might get before the end, and hoping to the Godess that I was wrong and that there were not anymore Tremayne’s out there!!
I was not wrong, I was right, I knew exactly where the bad guy thread started, and I’m not telling you! You have to read it, and see if you can pick up these tracks Lexi Foss is laying down! One of my favourite new PNR authors this one is worth far more than 5 stars!!
An addictive world in which humans are basically property and lycans and vampires rule … This installment brings us Rae and Kylan’s story and it is an incredible read, prompting a wide array of emotions. This one’s pretty heavily laced with betrayal as well and it’s executed beautifully: tragic results, yet I was consciously addicted to every second of it, completely loving the drama.
It also packs action, heat, drama, true love, family love, loyalty and more, all wrapped up into some epic world-building.
As I read, I couldn’t help but admire Foss’s skill level, as the writing is masterful.
Readers: READ THIS SERIES (and any by this author, truly).
Authors: Read this series to learn how it’s done; the art of writing seems to be one that Foss has completely slayed. I fear she’ll ruin me for other authors even.
Note:
I listened to the audiobook, thanks to my local library offering it. Both narrators were amazing and added to the overall experience positively.

This book almose broke me and it is an amazing follow up in this series. So you have the oldest royal Kylan and you have Rae with a fiery spirt/soul. Kylan is good at hiding behind a mask but there is so much more to the vampire. Rae was one of the top twelve for the immortal cup only for that chance to be taken away. This book had me all over the place trying to figure out what is really going on. The rumors are not matching up. Rae is defiant with a strong soul, body, and mind. So will Kylan break her with all the darkness he hides behind. So many things are at play here. There are lives on the line but whose? Man these vampires sure can get in your mind with all the games they play. All I can say is that I got teary eyed in several places in this book. So yes I got a severe book hangover with this one. I am so ready to dive in the book.
Royally Bitten (Blood Alliance Series Book 2) by Lexi C. Foss is such an awesome story that I have read. This is book number two in this awesome series and I can not wait to read the rest of this awesome series. I highly recommend this awesome series to everyone.
I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
Another amazing read! I can’t get enough of this series! The writing style and story development are excellent! So excited to continue and see where it leads!
Of the entire blood alliance series, I love Royally Bitten the best. Kylan is overbearing and a complete ahole, but when he finds his heart, he’s unstoppable. This whole series is great.
This was the book that made me notice this series. I saw a snippet one time and got intrigued. Took a chance with the first book and BAM!
I was surprised by this series. This is seriously fascinating and entertaining. The author created a new world that is now becoming my addiction.
The characters were all interesting; the author giving them humanly flaws that was understandably reasonable and justifiable. The plot overarchs to the next book which makes it more addicting.
New characters were being introduced in each book and with the way the story’s going, you would want to see more of them.
Surprisingly real good, this series! One I highly recommend if you’re a fan of vampires and lycans in a la dystopian setting.
This book was even better then the first! I love this world where humans are nothing more then food! I love seeing two people who are broken in their own way come together and work together for a common goal. This book is both dark and hot!
New author for me and she seriously does not disappoint! Sexy, steamy, and vampires oh my! In a world over run by vamps and lycans, Darius is a breath of fresh dominant air!
I’ve never been one who gives away a lot of details in my reviews ,but I will tell you this…you will go one hell of a roller coaster ride… you will go on steamy, hot, and heavy moments with a few gut/heart wrenching twist that will not only leave you begging for more …they will leave you on the edge of your seat screaming…vampires… werewolves…and magic oh my!
Kylan is a royal vampire who gets what he wants when he wants it, no questions asked. When he sees Rae and her strong will he knows he wants her. Rae is human. Her only use in this world is slave for the supernaturals. She was made to be the best servant she can be. and is doing all she can to stay alive in a world full of supernaturals. Will Kylan be the one to save her life.
If you like dark steamy romance, then this just may be the book for you!
And here I thought book one was the most amazing vampire book I’d ever read, book two just blew that out of the water. I absolutely LOVE Lexi C. Floss’s vampires and the world she created for them! All the politics, bloody parties, danger, sex, strict rules of etiquette and more make for a seriously entertaining read. These characters are freaking amazing and everything is building up to something that’s going to be epic when it plays out. And after that blurb for the next book I can’t freaking wait to read the next book in this series!
Well, well, well. Lexi Foss you dirty bird you. I swear that you wrote political intrigue so well that I’m always azed even though I shouldn’t be.
Rae and Kylan’s story is hot, and deep and frustrating because every thing is surrounded by secrets and double meaning and Vampire royals like Kylan aren’t used to trusting, despite being surrounded by trustworthy people. Or are they? And Rae… Geez she is fierce and I am in love with her.
This is a fabulous second book and I can’t wait to read Regally Bitten.
A well written novel to get lost in, wonderful characters and some old ones, I really enjoyed this novel.Keep a box of tissues near by ,some readers will need them.
So glad I took a chance on this particular author as I had not read any of her work before embarking on this series.
I am now a complete fan of this incredibly imaginative but brutal future dystopian world: this author has quite the lurid imagination let me tell you.
This is the second book in the Blood Alliance series and this time we get acquainted with Royal vampire Kylan and Rae or Raelyn to Kylan.
We get to join Rae and her friends at the totally barbaric blood day ceremony where the humans in there 22nd year are being sorted into there designated factions and twelve of them the brightest and best in there graduating class will be chosen to compete for the immortal cup: a competition where the last two left alive will be given the gift of immortality, one to join the lycans and the other the Vampire ranks.
Rae’s hopes are dashed when she unintentionally catches the eye of the royal Prince and instead of her place competing in the tournament, she is acquired for the royal harem.
Kyran is referenced in book 1 as having murdered his whole harem for sport and is rumoured to be suffering because of his advanced age from some form of immortal insanity but things are not always quite what they seem on the surface and Kylans waters run much deeper than he outwardly reveals.
I also found this had a totally different vibe to its predecessor and I enjoyed this even more than Chastely Bitten.
I really didn’t think that was even remotely possible considering how much I adored it but this actually surpassed my expectations completely overtaking book one in my affections.
Rae herself is of a totally different personality type than Juliet was: more feisty and argumentive challenging Kylan at every turn.
Kylan I liked a lot more than I originally thought I would he was quite the personality.
I found that this instalment explores the sexuality side of things much more
Kylan even has a male blood slave Mikail though he is not actually gay he is certainly more fluid with his affections towards his charge indulging him with pleasure while taking his vein.
There is also some slight M/F/M action between Kylan, Rae and Mikail
We also get reacquainted with Jace, Darius and his Juliet and though brief I adored catching up with them all.
So this for me was a fantastic read and I really didn’t want it to end I was that invested in the unfolding dramatic storyline.
I liked where this went and am looking ahead eagerly for book three this is one series I recommend highly loved it.
I voluntary reviewed an Arc of Royally Bitten (Blood Alliance Series Book 2).
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Once again Lexi has hit it out of the park. This book was so well written with incredible characters, with a well-developed world she’s created. I fell into this book and didn’t want to leave. I’m definitely in a PNR hangover after reading this story.
This is book 2 in the Blood Alliance Series. Rae is not the submissive human she’s supposed to be. She’s a fighter, she’s top of her class, and she is sassy. But when forced to bend to royalty these traits might not be all they’re cracked up to be. If you ask Kylan he might disagree or let you think that. Kylan is a fan of mind games, there’s no mistaken that, but when you’re as old as him that’s to be expected. Isn’t it? Everyone knows that, especially Rae. Who ever isn’t smart enough to be aware of that and try’s playing him, will gets what’s coming to them. Getting to the heart of the matter he might be one scary blood sucker but damn he’s a sexy one.
I have said it before and I will say it again, no one builds a world like Lexi C. Foss. Royally Bitten, the second book in her Blood Alliance series, is no different. If you want vampires, a compelling plot, political intrigue, and danger that keeps you on the edge of your seat, (not to mention some super hot lusty times), you need to read this series! Her characters draw you in and become a part of you. Kylan is a wonderfully dark, brooding vampire, but for all his centuries of experience, he can still be a dumbass occassionally. And Rae is such a feisty heroine that you can’t help but love her. Grab this one today, and you will not be sorry!!!
Foss has done it again! This book was great! It answered more questions about the blood alliance world and leaves you looking forward to the next book without any dreaded cliffhangers. I personally enjoyed this book even better than Chastely Bitten and really enjoyed the banter between Rae and Kylan. Rae is a fiestier character than Juliet, and I really enjoyed her subtle defiance of the dark world she lives in. This book reaches into a bit darker and different of territory than Lexi typically writes but certainly not to any detriment to the book. It’s a great second book to the series and, in my opinion, falls into the rare category of the second book being better than the first. I’ll definitely be awaiting the next book in the series!
