A seat on the throne or a place in her heart?Greyson Montgomery dreams of a simple life, but as the crown prince of Aldora, simple is not in his future. Armed with a few hundred dollars and a fake backstory, Greyson flies to Savannah, Georgia, to see if he has what it takes to chase the … takes to chase the American Dream.
Scarlett Calhoun is a Southern Belle with a heart as big as a Georgia peach. When she meets the charming construction worker, Greyson, it isn’t long before she is embracing the holiday cheer. Soon, she’s teaching him how to cook, falling for his exotic accent and soulful eyes, and joining him on picnic lunches where they talk for hours.
With Christmas Eve nearing, Greyson must fly back to Aldora and either abdicate the throne, or take his rightful place as king. Will he ignore his birthright to remain with Scarlett or will she be royally abandoned?

Royally Abandoned by Kelsey McKnight is Greyson Montgomery, crown prince of Aldora, and southern belle Scarlett Calhoun’s story.
Scarlett and Greyson were both raised in a privileged manner. Greyson of course was raised on a different level with being the crown prince of Aldora. They met in an unusual way and their paths keep crossing. Greyson and Scarlett want to live more of a normal life but will they be able to make their own way? This is a cute, sweet, and fairy tale type read.

Scarlet and disguised royal, Greyson, connect in this story. Picnic scenes were lots of fun.
A quick and fun read….
Royally Abandoned by Sarah Fischer and Kelsey McKnight is a fabulous royally written book by these two amazing authors. They brought the sense of Christmas, being a royal, and having dreams that come to life.
Will Greyson take the throne or give it to his brother?
Greyson Montgomery
Prince Greyson Montgomery wants to live a regular life since he knows that he can’t build things when he’s king. Instead, he wants his baby brother to take the crown, and he can live a normal life among ordinary people. Greyson was doing fine until he had to come home for Christmas and brought Scarlett with him. He thought that he was doing the right thing for his country until Greyson started to really think about it while home for the holidays. Greyson is a great character. Sure he has his flaws, but what type of person would he be without flaws.
Scarlett Calhoun
Scarlett Calhoun is a Southern Belle through and through. She is a debutante, runner up for Miss Georgia, works in a lot of charities, and still has dreams of her own that she knows wouldn’t make her mama happy. There are two sides of Scarlett, the one out in public doing things for her mama (meaning the Southern Belle), and the one that would be happy in jeans and a tee-shirt with her hair up fixing up an old house for a bed and breakfast. Scarlett is very much the hopeless romantic in that she always thinks way too ahead in relationships that are just starting, and she can get her heartbroken fast that way. She loves Greyson and would do anything for him to see how much she does.
Five Stars for Royally Abandoned
Ms. Fischer and Ms. McKnight both did a fabulous job with this book. Weaving two very different people into a fantastically great story. I felt for Greyson and Scarlett during different parts, and I enjoyed reading their story. Scarlett and Greyson are amazing characters, which makes me love them a lot. I highly recommend this book to all romance readers out there.

When it comes to making his choice to take the throne or live his life, I am glad he chose the ending as it should be.

I received this arc in exchange for an honest review. This is my first book by Ms. Fischer/Ms. McKnight. I was very happy with the book. This was a clever story and having it as a Christmas story only made it better. The story revolves around Greyson, the crown prince of Aldora. He has told his family he wants to abdicate the throne and his family tells him to go away for a month and live among the commoners to see if that is the right choice. So he leaves and ends up in Savannah, Georgia and is hired on as a construction worker to try to find the American dream. He is very happy to find a job, buy a used truck and rent a cheap flat. He has a near car accident driving home because he is used to driving on the other side of the road in his country. He meets the victim, Scarlet. Later, they meet again when her dog tries to escape. Scarlett invites Grayson to join her for dinner to thank him. He is late to dinner as he goes to a thrift store to buy clothes so Scarlett isn’t suspicious of his designer clothes when he’s supposedly to be a poor worker.
As time passes the two spend more time together. Both are interested. Grayson is hiding his true identity and Scarlett doesn’t want to tell her mother about him and his occupation as she’s afraid she will not approve. Finally Scarlett brings. Grayson to an event and it’s a disaster and she pulls him out, vowing not to speak to her mother again for how he’s treated.
Grayson invites Scarlett to come with him to his home for the holidays but doesn’t share that he’s the crown prince until they are on his private jet. She is shocked but handles it okay. They arrive and his family treats her pretty good. His family still wants him to be the next king even though he’s announced it will go to his brother. There is quite a bit of the back and forth about who will take the throne and things between Grayson and Scarlett become a problem. There is a lot of angst, great romance and cute interactions between the family members.
Greyson doesn’t want to be a Prince he wants to work construction and create things which he is very good at. So he takes a couple of months and goes to Georgia. He also wants to meet a young lady that doesn’t know he is a prince and who will love him for who he is not what he is.
Scarlett lives in Georgia and she meets Greyson and takes him home to Momma after a couple of dates, they have money and he wears second hand clothes. Mom does not approve so she sets Scarlett up with someone she thinks is more her type.
A really good book. You won’t be disappointed.
Greyson was born in to royalty but still wants to be his own person. He gets a one month chance to see how the other half lives. During this time he meets Scarlett and the attraction is definitely there. As they spend time together and his one month end nears, he’s unsure what he’s going to do.
An entertaining holiday romance with a great story line and wonderful characters.

Royally Abandoned by Sarah Fischer and Kelsey McKnight is more modern fairytale than it is realistic fiction. That is not to say it is a bad story, just one that is hard to see ever really happening. It would be perfect for the Hallmark movie.
Greyson Montgomery heir to the throne of Aldora is at a crossroads in his life. It is one of his own making but one, nonetheless. Unwilling to become king he leave his home to goes to Savannah, GA. There he meets event planner, Scarlett Calhoun until less than ideal conditions.
These two characters have all of the virtues that you would wish for a person to have; kind, hardworking, young good looking and tolerate of their parents. The story-line is okay but the characters niceness makes it less interesting. One example is how these two met; surely in real life Scarlett would have negative words and feelings than she did. The biggest surprise, interesting enough, was the decision that Greyson makes in the end. The way it all works out is not how I thought this story would go. Very interesting indeed.
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Who says a life of privilege can leave you wanting more??? Greyson and Scarlett!! From dealing with their meddling mamas to figuring out what they wanna be when they grow up…while holding on to what’s important, this clean love story captured the real…with a lil bit of fairy tale!! I recommend this book and hope there’s a sequel for poor Harrison and Gina.

Greyson is a prince who does a walkabout to get to know himself before he takes the crown and he finds a southern Belle who he might leave the crown behind for. But will he leave her or the crown. Well written and the characters are entertaining.

So sweet and lovely.
This would make a smashing Hallmark movie it was so sweet and lovely. You can feel the friendship these two authors have their close bond. I hope they work together on other works. Scarlett and Greyson were such likable characters and I have to agree with Scarlett I believe in fairytales too. If you want a book that touches your heart and will bring a smile to your face this is the one to pick up. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Crown Prince Greyson wants a simple life, so he joins the real world in Savannah and works as a construction worker living off just his wages. His parents have given him until Christmas to decide if he is serious about giving up the crown. Otherwise he becomes the King on New Years. He meets Scarlett and feels an immediate attraction to her. He stumbles through things since he has no one to do things for him anymore. He invites her to go home with him for Christmas and just before getting on the plane tells her who he really is. Everything that happens afterwards is storybook magic.

This was such a cute story that was a fun clean read. I enjoyed the writing style.
When Greyson Montgomery decided he didn’t want to become king of Aldora when his father stepped down he moved to Savannah, Georgia to start a new life. Giving up everything of his old life, he wanted to be just a regular guy. He’s finding out how to live on a construction worker’s pay and he’s having a difficult time cooking for himself. Forgetting where he’s at, driving on the wrong side of the road, he runs Scarlett Calhoun off the road. When he unexpectedly meets her again and realizes how sweet and beautiful she is, he asks her out. He loves that she’s getting to know the real him not just going after his title.
Scarlett Calhoun’s got dreams to open a bed and breakfast. Her mom wants to set her up with the cousin of the man who dumped her after three years. She never expected to start a relationship with a guy that doesn’t seem to know how to do everyday things. But the more time she spends with Greyson, the more she finds to like about him. When he asks her to fly home with him to meet his family she never expected to find out who he really is, a crown prince.

Curled up with a good book on a rainy, chilly day. What more could I ask for? A sweet, royal, Christmas romance. Wonderful characters, an engaging story, and two beautiful settings. If you like the Netflix Original “The Christmas Prince” you’ll love this book!
