I enjoyed reading these four books. I liked the way Lindzee used some of the same characters between a couple of the books, and about siblings. I liked the follow through in the family. The story lines were interesting, and I enjoyed the royal line aspect of the stories. I would recommend the books.
Taming the Prince: This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I like that the prince decided to accept responsibility for his childish actions & gets the girl in the end. It’s an easy, fast read.
Dating the Princess: Libby is feisty, sassy & has her standards. It’s funny how she gets to date the prince, gets engaged. Then the prince’s mother turns really nasty toward Libby. The ex-girlfriend is vindictive, tried to break-up the engagement.
Winning back the Princess: Nothing like basing your opinion on how things LOOK & not just asking the one you like what is going on & if he likes another woman. Lots of interesting things happen to the Princess & her love interest before they have their HEA.
Marrying the King is a time travel romance. I really enjoyed this one since I love time travel.
I highly recommend all these books.
What a wonderful collection of romantic stories – with everything from great humor to time travel, every day characters to royalty, betrayal to mystery. There are many lovable characters in these books.
Taming the Prince – 4
What a sweet, romantic novella in which a prince meets a dance studio owner. It’s the perfect pick me up afternoon read.
Dating the Prince – 5
Loved everything about this story – from the humor to the characters to the situations that Alex and Libby kept finding themselves in. Who would be able to resist a handsome man who swoops in and saves them from possible arrest?
Even though Libby and Prince Alex are from two different worlds, there is an instant attraction between that grows as they spend more time together. The author does a good job of giving us enough detail as to each of the character’s thoughts without overdoing it.
This is one of those books that I was torn between wanting to read fast to see what would happen next and wanting to read slower to make the book last longer.
Winning Back the Princess – 5
A wonderful addition to this series. Both of the characters were lovable – maybe more so because each of them has their flaws that they didn’t see at first. Sometimes it takes getting someone else’s perspective for us to see where we may be sabotaging our happiness. This was a very delightful read.
Marrying the King – 4
This is a sweet time travel romance that also has betrayal, pirates, and a mystery. You can tell there is definitely a connection between Lexi and King Richard even though they are from two different times. Will things work out for them? Or will Lexi return to the present time? This was a fun read.
4.5 stars. I’ve previously read all of these books individually. 4.5 stars (averaged for all 4 books). This is a fun collection of the author’s Royal Secrets series. If you love royal romances these are all fun, clean, romantic reads.
TAMING THE PRINCE–need to review.
DATING THE PRINCE–After a recent bad breakup and her parents on the brink of bankruptcy and divorce, Libby happily accepts an offer from a friend to be a nanny and escapes to the country of Durham. Libby as a cute habit of leaving “lucky pennies” at places she’s visits and her tour of the palace is no exception. Except this “lucky penny” almost leads to her being arrested! Luckily, Alex, the Crown Prince of Durham sees it on a security monitor and steps in to help, but Libby (who doesn’t read gossip magazines or watch the all royal TV channel) thinks Prince Alex is just a palace employee.
Prince Alexander is still receiving bad PR from his break up with the cheating, publicity-seeking actress he’d been dating. When video from his coffee date with Libby goes viral, and seems to be changing the public’s opinion of him, the palace PR machine decides to use it to polish up his tarnished image.
I loved Alex! The poor man was still suffering the aftershocks from the breakup with that crazy actress. I can’t imagine trying to heal from something so publicly that should’ve been a private matter. He always considers the affect his decisions have on his beloved country.
I didn’t particularly care how Queen Nicolette treated Libby, as if she were a golddigger. It wasn’t Libby’s idea and she didn’t want to do the whole fake dating PR scheme. As she pointed out her life was easier and less stressful before she agreed to whole thing. By the end of the book I didn’t dislike the Queen as much but think Libby has a long road ahead of her if she wants to have a close relationship with Alex’s mother.
If you like commoner-and-royal-fall-in-love storylines or want to escape with a modern fairytale land this series is just the thing. This is a clean romance.
WINNING BACK THE PRINCESS–Princess Charlotte and Adam had a 10 day fling that no one, other than her cousin Emma, knew about. Seems like it was more than a fling to Charlotte, which is going to make her stay in Africa slightly uncomfortable, to say the least. Charlotte’s the keynote speaker for an education conference which was taking place at Adam’s family’s hotel. Can we say awkward?
Adam is expected to marry Brionna Cartwright to join their hotel empires, even though he’s not attracted to her, and thinks of her as a sister or a cousin. Brionna keeps dropping hints about them working on a project together. Adam’s family is building a school for local tribal children to attend, but he’s way behind schedule because of various problems. When the person overseeing the project unexpectedly quits Adam begs Charlotte, who’s very involved in education, to help so it can be completed and open on schedule.
I liked the characters of Charlotte and Adam, Brionna and Adam’s father not so much. I think I liked the part of the book when Brionna was off looking for properties the best because Charlotte and Adam got closer and there was less tension. Brionna was bossy towards Adam, as if she knew everything, and he didn’t know how to run a project. Brionna stepped out of her lane quite frequently.
I got so frustrated with Adam when Brionna’s dad was in the hospital and he didn’t leave once all her brothers arrived. If he had been her fiance’ it would’ve been alright for him to stay, but he’d already told Brionna that he would be there only as her friend. It took Adam too long to realize where he needed to be. Meanwhile Charlotte’s in Africa dealing with a major catastrophe all by herself. I didn’t blame her for leaving and going back to Durham.
Speaking of Charlotte, I loved that she was a reader and when Adam first met her she was at a charity ball “nestled in a hidden alcove, leaning against the wall” obscured from view by a potted plant reading. I could picture her in an amazing dress hidden away completely absorbed by her book.
MARRYING THE KING–Lexi has hit a dead end in the research for 16th century Queen Alexandra, and her outline for her dissertation is due in a month! After her book club meeting Lexi has a conversation with Dr. Lachele, who tells her she needs a vacation where she can meet a handsome young man. Lexi jokes “Can you make him a king? I’d love to ask King Richard about his bride.” Suddenly the world is spinning and Lexi’s gasping for air in salt water, then she’s found unconscious on the beach in Durham by King Richard with no memory of her past or where she’s from.
King Richard wants to avoid going to war with Galia. He’s agreed to marry a princess he’s never met to help unite the two countries. When word arrives that pirates attacked the ship carrying his soon-to-be-bride, he’s not sure how he’s going to keep Galia’s King Philip from attacking. Out for a ride to clear his head Richard finds Lexi washed up on the shore dressed in the finery of a princess and with a pendant bearing the the Galian royal crest.
I don’t want to give anything away, but I will say I liked Lexi and Richard together. They’re both great characters and had immediate chemistry. It was nice to get a little background on the countries of Durham and Galia. It was funny when Lexi used modern words and had to try to explain them.
This was a fun read. It can be read in an afternoon so if you’re looking for a short sweet romance with royals and a little time travel thrown into the mix this is it.
Taming the Prince is a fun, short, atypical prince/commoner story. I just really enjoyed this novella. The plot and characters are well done and believable.
In Dating the Prince, a feisty nanny escaping her hometown meets a prince with a serious PR problem. This is a sparkling romance with many plot twists. The prince’s ex-girlfriend is a real piece of work! Once I started reading I could not put it down! Don’t miss this book! It is well written and well formatted.
Winning Back the Princess is Durham Princess Charlotte’s story. This book has an intriguing cast of characters and showcases South Africa’s beauty. Charlotte is passionate about education for the underprivileged and will be the keynote speaker at an education conference in South Africa. Will the Princess finally find love amid the beautiful South African landscape? A delightful modern day tale. I received an advanced copy and have voluntarily left this review.
The Pretend Princess is a time travel romance. This book has murderous pirates, mistaken identity, nefarious plotting and more. I am not normally a fan of stories in the 16th century (or of time travel), but this one grabbed my interest immediately and I had to finish it right then. King Richard and Lexi were great characters. The well written plot moves along at a steady pace. Will Lexi discover why so little is known about Richard’s Queen? You have to read this book to find out!
I loved all these great books!
