SUBJECT: Engagement Contract (Marked Confidential)From The Desk of His Royal Highness Prince ChristopherDear Emily, Thank you for joining me for dinner tonight. And for agreeing to my proposal, as ludicrous as it is. Desperate times call for fake engagements. At least in my family.I am attaching the contract we discussed. Our lawyers asked that I highlight the following clauses:•The engagement … the following clauses:
•The engagement shall last ninety days
•Both parties are to appear genuinely in love at all royal appearances
•Beyond required public displays of affection, there shall be no contact of any kind between the parties
The first half of your payment will be deposited into your account upon the signing of this contract. Be sure to note your ring size. We would like to make prompt delivery of the family emerald. The Queen and I thank you in advance for your discretion.
Cheers,
His Royal Highness Prince Christopher
P.S.—Sorry to hear about your divorce. Your ex sounds like a proper knob head.
P.P.S—You looked stunning tonight.

Royal Ruin was a fun and enjoyable read. Loved the connection between Kit & Emily from the beginning, as Emily was always attracted to Kit the man, not Kit the Prince. They couldn’t have been more opposite from one another, but they really were meant for each other. It may have taken them some time to get there, but it was all worth it in the end.
This book started out as one thing for me, and ended up being so much more. So. Much. More. For underneath the Royal trappings, the galas filled with pithy repartee, the MOST HANDSOME MAN in the room (yes, in all caps) is lonely. So painfully lonely it took my breath away.
Prince Kit, heir to the throne, unconsciously measures every woman he dates against the memory of a brief encounter with Emily when they were friends in college. When they meet again ten years later, Emily is struggling to hold on to her business, and reeling from a devastating divorce. Quite simply, she’s a mess. When her old friend Kit offers an unusual solution, she doesn’t hesitate to become his fake fiancée. Saving her business in exchange for three months of her life. Piece of cake. Both Kit and Emily have closed shop on their emotions, and are confident this contractual agreement is the solution to both their problems. Until things get messy and emotions get involved. And choices must be made. Painful, life altering choices. What would you do for love?
I adored this book! A story about a royal romance? Yes, please! Instead of far fetched and out of touch, I found this book so very romantic and timely!
Great first in the series! Loved Kit – the sensitive Alpha – so loyal and constant. How could Emily not choose him from day one?! Loved the concept of the fake engagement and LOVED the chemistry between Kit and Emily. The epilogue has a sneak-peek of Aly and Rob – can’t wait for the next in the series Royal Rebel!
Kit and Emily are perfect together. When Prince “Kit” Christopher needs to change the public view of the royal family and the only way is a fake engagement. When Emily comes back into his life after ten years he knows that they both can get what they want out of this, but he has to keep reminding himself that he is only doing this for his duty as the next heir. Unfortunately he seem to stop thinking of Emily and he wants her and it may come down to the choice between his duty or his heart. I loved this story and I can’t wait to read the next one in this series. Amazing read and start to a great series. This is a first read for this author for me but I know it won’t be my last. Definietly recommend!!!
