Tristan
I knew what I would get when I turned twenty-five.
A wife.
A monarchy.
And to be honest, I wasn’t sure I wanted either one of them.
Amelia
At twenty-three I knew it was my duty to serve.
A King.
The people.
The one thing I never counted on? Falling in love with my husband.
Arraned marriages? Who would have thought in today’s age? Yet that’s what Tristan now faces on his 25th birthday. Amelia has been groomed most her life to be Queen someday. She’s always wanted to be a princess but will he be her Prince Charming?
This is an enchanting love story. Tristan and Amelia have “sparks” from their first meeting. Their journey to love is joyous and heartwarming. He’s determined to shield her from the pressures that plagued his mother. She sees the hurt this man has suffered and will do everything she can to make him feel loved. He’s a bad boy and she’s a good girl. They both seem to “rub off” on each other but in only the best ways.
Tristan is destined to be king and now he has to meet his queen, a marriage that is arranged by his father. One thing leads to another and they finally meet on his 25th birthday, what happens next is anyone’s guess as this is the first time they have met face to face. I loved this book and I can’t wait to read more in Royal Chaos. This story had some twists that at times I didn’t know what to think but in a great way. The characters are vulnerable but strong at the same time with the task in front of them. The heat between Lia and Tris was kindle melting hot.
Tristan and Amelia were so sweet together. Right from the start they had this connection that poured off the pages and made you fall in love with them. Made you want to devour the book so you could see what was to come. They didn’t have too many ups and downs with each other, but they were in each others conor from the very start of the arranged marriage. They fit and it was beautiful to see them come together and just be together.
There was slight drama and it really pulled me in. I wanted to be angry for them, but the way they carried them selves, they really had it handled as long as they had each other. I’m sad that the story seemed so short, but that’s only because I couldn’t put it down. It ends in a happily ever after for now, and I can’t wait to see what comes. 4 stars #2OCCJD
Charming romantic and steamy story. Tristen is on the cusp of being crowded King and as mandated must marry Amelia who was arranged to marry him when they were young.
It was a beautiful journey to see these two strangers open up to each other and fall in love. The chemistry was palpable. The story was like a peak into the human side of being a royal. The relationships between the royals and those people that surround them. I really enjoyed getting lost into this world.
This is one of my favorite books by this author now. I absolutely adored Tristan and Amelia so dang much. She has known she would be his wife. These two are seriously so great together and you can’t help but love them through the entire book. Couldn’t get enough of them at all.
I really did like this book. It wasn’t slow but it wasn’t insta-love either. There was insta-lust but not insta-love which I really appreciated as the book went on.
Tristian and Amelia both know what their futures are and there isn’t a lot of fighting the inevitable. Its almost like they are both embracing it instead of fighting it which really enhances the story.
This is a story of two strangers coming together in an arranged marriage and learning to lead a country. I loved at points it was awkward or not completely comfortable because thats how it would really be. You are literally learning about each other hoping to love each other. I was expecting a lot of unnecessary drama around the couple to drive them apart but there really wasn’t any which I am happy about. Since this is book one I am assuming that drama is to come but really appreciated this slow sweet beginning to a great trilogy.
When Prince Tristan of Haldonia’s 25th birthday is approaching, he knows he will have to take the throne of his country and also get married. As he didn’t find a wife on his own, he accepted the marriage arranged by his father, the king.
Amelia was betrothed to the prince at the age of 12, and raised to be the future queen of her country.
What neither Tristan nor Amelia expected was the attraction and companionship they found in each other. They spend six months together before the wedding and that time is for them to get to know each other better and get closer, creating true bonds that will last throughout their lives.
I loved the story and the characters. This love story is really beautiful. I’m already anxious to read the next book in this series. I recommend the reading.
He must marry to be king. She has prepared to be his wife. Great story on how Tris and Lia begin their relationship and what each of them is feeling. Can’t wait to see how the begin married life together!
Highly enjoyed Tris & Lia!! I didn’t realize this was a trilogy when I started, but I like the way this first story was written. We get a complete story, full of banter & sexy times, love & laughter. Even though this is an arranged marriage, these two still have the opportunity to choose each other, and the way they take the time to get to know one another & really take into consideration not only their country & duties, but each other, was especially gratifying to read about. I also highly enjoyed the friendships they have w/ security & assistants. Thumbs up! : )
Royal Rebel (The Haldonia Monarchy #1) by Laramie Briscoe was a great 4 star;
Tristan and Amelia are set to be married due to traditions for the Royal family. Tristan has been betrothed to Amelia since he was 12 years old. I like how they took the time to get to know each other better before the wedding. You get both POV’s so you can see how each of them are feeling throughout the story and I loved that.
Tristan is sweet and was very caring, I really liked how tentative he was to Amelia and her feelings. Amelia was super sweet and also cared about Tristan and what they were going through. You could feel their connection come right off the pages, we also get some steamy moments.
Overall I enjoyed this read and couple. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series so see where their journey goes from here. 1-click and get started today on this great read.

I have been so excited waiting to read this book. It did NOT disappoint! They have quickly become my favorite “royal” family. Tristan and Amelia. The arranged marriage, the connection, the chemistry, the deep layers of affection and love! They are the perfect happily ever after. I can’t wait for the next part of their story!
Royal Rebel is not what I would consider a “normal” Laramie Briscoe book, but just like with her other books, I was drawn in from the very first page. I kept getting a Princess Diana vibe from Amelia and a mix of Prince Harry and Prince William from Tristan. I loved “seeing” the Tristan behind the crown. Amelia has her moments of doubt, but she manages to push it away, hold her head high, and be the woman Tristan and the country need her to be. I can’t wait to get my hands on book 2!!
I absolutely loved Tristan & Amelia! Laramie has been a go to author for me for years, and when I saw that she was writing a royals series I was so excited! These two had such great chemistry and I loved reading every second of it! There was some slight drama but for the most part I really enjoyed watching these two fall in love!
It ends on a HFN, no cliffhanger, but there seems like these two will possibly get another book.
Loving this new series from Laramie! I was so interested as to where this story would go because of the arranged marriage, but I was surprised that they actually got along and fell in love with each other! Tristan has fought his birthright tooth and nail, but on his birthday, he finally has to face the music and with that comes the arranged marriage as well. Amelia has been groomed to please the future king, knowing that she would get married to him and went into it knowing what she was doing. The surprise from this couple is that while they were both skeptical, they ended up making the best of the situation and liked each other and worked on an actual relationship together. This was definitely an establishing book, because the ending made it seem like there were things to happen that will make the storyline for this couple more interesting as the books go forward and I can’t wait!

Royal Rebel is a fresh new couple who has the world on their shoulders. Tristan and Amelia love each other deeply and that surprises them both, how quickly and deeply they fell. They have their country looking at them for leadership and guidance, and a former King who is packing years of bitterness at Tristan. With formally training Amelia is thrown into the deep end and is gracefully keeping her head above water. They are able to work together as a team and take care of each other and move forward within their leadership roles. Amelia’s has a run in with her past and it makes Tristan livid on her behalf, seeing Amelia confide in him was a solidifying moment in their relationship. The chemistry was off the charts from the moment their arranged meeting took place, the sparks where seen from miles away. Readers will see the difficulty faced with trusting individuals and how hard it would be to build trusting friendships with their position in society. It was great to see Amelia making a life long friend with Shannon. The former King and Tristan are able to start the long process of healing from their rocky relationship, and I want to see that relationship become better, I felt sorry for them both, it was a tragic loss that caused the rift to start with. Amelia and Tristan have a long for the ages, I feel satisfied with their story for now, it ended with a good, strong, happy, ready to take on life feeling but I am anxious to see how their story progresses. This was a new direction from Ms. Briscoe but she pulled it off beautifully, all the elements wrapped up so nicely in a great new adventure with Tristan and Amelia.
This one was ridiculously sweet from the very beginning.
It kicks off with Tristan turning 25 and having to now face his responsibilities as the next King of Haldonia. This includes meeting and marrying the woman he’s been betrothed to since age 12, Amelia. Everything that follows is pretty much a complete fairytale.
I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop…a secret baby, death threats, or maybe a secret plot to overthrow the king, but none of that happened. This was mainly two strangers learning to love each other and rule a country. Some butterfly inducing moments with a little ow/om stuff that was kind of unnecessary since it didn’t add much DRAMA to the story. If that makes sense.
Overrall, a sweet book but not much happened. I don’t know if I didn’t enjoy it as much because it’s a huge change from my last couple reads

I absolutely adored this story.
Tristan is wild and care free knowing that once he turns 25 he will become King and will need to be married. He was given the opportunity to find his own wife but didn’t. In the event that that happened, he was pre-arranged to marry Amelia. Daughter of long family friends.
At first things are new for the two as they get to know each other, and there is no denying their underlying chemistry. But Tristan is fearful for Amelia knowing that things will be more stressful and hectic once they are back at the palace.
So can these two lear to truly love each other and rule a kingdom? One-click to find out now.
Royal Rebel by Laramie Briscoe is the first book i n her brand new Haldonia Monarchy series. I love a good royal romance and this book was no exception.
Tristan is a down-to-earth royal who has spent his youth exercising his right to be young but now that his 25th birthday is here – he is ready to step up and become the ruler he has been rained from birth to be.
Amelia has known her whole life that there was a chance that she & Tristan would be wed. Now that the day is approaching the stress of what this means for hr, her future, and the changes that will take place in her life become almost too much to bear. If it wasn’t for the instant connection that she and Tristan share she’d be lost. But with his affection and unwavering support this may all work out in the end.
Instant attraction and chemistry, royal plots, strong men and strong women working together, sexy, and heartwarming with a small slice of danger. This is told in dual POV and ends on a tiny, baby-sized cliffhanger that gently leads us into the next book in the series, also about Tristan and Amelia. Loved it! Enjoy!
I’ve been in love with Laramie Briscoe’s writing for years, so I of course was super excited for Royal Rebel. But this book is beyond what I imagined. It’s something totally new from her and let me tell you, I did not know how much I needed royalty romance from Laramie until right now! I went from super excited to OMG I NEED MORE OF THESE RIGHT THIS VERY SECOND after reading this.
While Tristan certainly fits his rebel persona to the world when it comes to Amelia it’s full on sweet romance almost immediately. This soon to be king certainly knows how to sweep a woman off her feet with his unique combination of incredible sweetness and scorching hot sexiness. I fell hard and fast for this man. The beauty that is Tristan and Amelia is almost indescribable. Their relationship is all sweet heat and real emotion that just seems to suck you in and keep you captivated from start to finish. When I say I’m desperate for the next book I’m honestly down playing it. I need more of these two like I need air.
I loved Tristan and Amelia. There was not the typical push and pull we usually get with an arranged marriage. At their first meeting, the sparks fly. There is no resentment of each other as they have both been groomed for this. I enjoyed this first glimpse into their lives and cannot wait for more of Tristan and Amelia.
