A sassy princess and an alpha bodyguard? This is my kind of poison right here. Royal Line by Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone goes from swoony to uber steamy to super suspenseful in blink of an eye. A must read for every royal romance fan!
Princess London Waterford of Alden isn’t happy to be a princess with no real life. She wants to pursue her dream of becoming a photojournalist but her brothers aka the king and the princes don’t want her to take risk. On her twenty ninth birthday an ancient law of their kingdom makes her brothers to help her escape to Paris. When security consultant Kannon rescues her from an accident. Now Kannon is determined to keep her safe and his heart is in danger.
Two things about this kind of story attracts me. One, the royal falling for a commoner that gives modern fairy tale vibes. Second, the action and thrill mix with swoon and sexy times. London isn’t like typical princess. She has independent thinking and a fierce but soft heart. I can relate how she wants to leave her overprotective brothers’ shadows and have an adventurous life. She can be a bit stubborn but it comes with the territory. Kannon initially thought her to be a spoiled and pompous princess but soon he realised what kind of amazing woman she is. Kannon has a troubled past and he cannot open his heart to someone he has vowed to protect. But they have a fiery chemistry and a magnetic bond and it was inevitable to fall for each other. I loved the alpha, arrogant, dirty side of Kannon equally like his heartbroken and damaged part. Expect lots of push and pull. Emotional tug of war. And finally a happily ever after fit for a royal fairy tale.
Royal Line by Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone had a direct line to my heart as I have fallen instantly for this sexy and emotional and action packed romance.
PS – WATCH OUT FOR THE BROTHERS..KING ROMAN. THE WILD BROTHER BRECK. AND THE BROODING BROTHER WILDER.
I reviewed an early copy voluntarily
Tattered Royals, what an apapro title for this royal line
I found London and Kannon’s story to be interesting and unique in ways I hadn’t expected. I mean how many ways can you write about a royal falling in love with a commoner? These clever authors found a new twist to that script.
The Waterford’s have the appeal of every other Nana Malone book I have every read; family, love, and support. No matter your family a baby sister will always be protected to death by her big brothers.
Kannon has a heart of gold, with an ice exterior he’s a human meat shield. He will protect his charges and not ever care one way or the other about what they do or don’t do, he won’t judge. Well, until he meets London. Poor man never stood a chance.
Their relationship is never simple, how could it be when one of them has royal blood? I loved reading the side characters: Rian and Sparrow, I wonder how much more we’ll see them in the future?
London wanted to break free of her chains of duty, fly free. But it was not to be. Someone was out to destroy the family and take the throne. The one thing I have always come to love about a book by these authors is that the bad guy is never someone you see coming…sadly this time I saw it coming. Did it detract from the story and nuances of the push pull that London and Kannon had? Surely not. It just surprised me is all, overall though I enjoyed Royal Line, I’m keen and eager to see what happens in the next installment of Tattered Royals. Thank you ladies for once again creating one very good book for me to escape into.
London has lived a pretty normal life considering she’s royal and has expectations to uphold. But what about her dreams and wants? She knows her family is far from conventional but then it’s all she knows. Is she willing to offer herself like a lamb to slaughter is a different story.. I think not! Now she’s on the run. Absolutely loved this story and can’t wait to delve deeper into the world of this family.
Loved it. It is very well written. A princess on the run and private security company owner come together after she has an accident, but is an accident. Can they find love with her being royalty. A must read. Can’t wait to read more in this series.
This is my 1st book by Nana Malone and what a powerhouse duo this is. I love Carrie’s books already so this was a plus for me. This is a great story with amazing characters and an awesome storyline. Can’t wait to discover more books by Nana Malone.
New Royal Series by Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone.
Interesting read, I’m still not quite sure why it fell to London (Princess) to complete the ancient law/rule but loved the interaction between her & Kannon & his team.
Can’t watch for Sparrow & Breck…ooo boy that should be interesting.
Bonus epilogue was a delight!
This was a fantastic book. It took knight in shining armor to a whole new level. London good character. I was surprised at the self since she is a princess. London was witty, tough, strong willed, and headstrong. Kannon is the ideal alpha, brilliant charismatic hunk of a man. I love the chemistry between the two the instant they meet. The danger and intrigue are high and instant for the runaway princess. The supporting characters Sparrow and Rian and can’t forget the over protective brothers, I really hope they get theirs in hopefully the next two or Four more books in the series. Enemy Heir here I come! I can’t wait!
Ladies you rock keep them coming.
London is the youngest of 4 royal siblings. As she prepares to take a photography job she has been chasing after, she learns of an obscure law that has her brothers sending her from the country to protect her while they try to find a way around the rule.
Kannon, head of Kannon Security, is in the right place at the right time to rescue a stranded motorist. But what starts as a good samaritan action, quickly sends him into full on protector mode as shots are fired from an unknown source. He quickly learns that the random stranger he picked up on the side of the road is royalty and she becomes his next job.
The bodyguard/princess trope works quite nicely here. They have great chemistry, even as Kannon battles inner demons from a past trauma and London fights against the mold her country is trying to squeeze her into. But there was a lot of back and forth that had me wishing they would just make up their minds already, as well as a few bone-headed decisions that were predictable even as they moved the story along.
This was an easy, quick read with a royal flourish. It held my attention even when the characters made decisions that I could see three steps ahead of. But it was one of those reads that entertained me and seemed to fly by. I enjoyed getting to know the characters – both Kannon’s crew and London’s family, and am looking forward to several of the stories teased here. I have read many of Carrie Ann Ryan’s books, but I believe this is my first from Nana Malone, though it won’t be my last!

London and kannon’s story is for, the action of how they come to together continues throughout. I love how Kannon eventually opens himself up and gets part the pain and lets London in, you’ll love this story too
A new series with lots of thrills and heat! This was a great introduction to a royal family. I’ve not read Carrie Ryan’s books before, but have been a fan of Nana Malone’s other series. The pairing of the two authors works really well. The members of the royal family are just like any family. I loved the bickering between the siblings. London is cursed as the youngest and only Princess. I was thrilled she wasn’t a stereotypical princess. She’s extremely relatable. Kannon is the perfect damaged hero. He can’t deny his hero nature. Kannon and London have a lot of chemistry and their bantering is fabulous! This is a fast paced story with a number of surprises. I am already anxiously awaiting the next in the series. This is going to be fun! I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was my first story by either of these authors, although that I didn’t make a strong connection with the story, others might.
It goes along the lines of The Bodyguard, but London is a princess who needs protection. Kannon is the security guard who will give it to her.
I didn’t connect with the characters, especially Kannon. He wasn’t the though bodyguard, I think London was more masculine then he was. It lacked originality and spunk. I know the brothers will probably have their book but too much time was focused on them.
Liking a book is subjective so what didn’t work for me might work for others. It is a romantic suspense told in a dual POV with an HEA.
Amidst all the dark and deranged romances I love LOVE to read, I occasionally need to cleanse my palate with something lighter.
Enter Royal Lines by two authors I have not read before. And let’s throw in another first…a Royal Romance ( I think, I’m sorry I read a lot).
The Princess, London, needs protection.
The Bodyguard, Kannon, needs a life. (like seriously dude)
This was a quick read that left me wanting more (dark romances are usually really long), but I am not one of those that takes points away for that. I understand it’s meant to be a series and therefore I should expect things like cliffhangers or the desire to read more. How else will I be drawn in to keep reading and buying…duh.
I have to admit when London and Kannon got it on I was doing a happy dance like thank you for not waiting until the last page to give me that glorious scene!!! Kannon was a grump but he had reasons for it but London, my girl…. she knew how to be exactly what he needed.
Did I enjoy…yes
Will I continue the series…yes
Have the Authors found a new fan….also yes
What an exciting and new series from Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone, we see London, princess and fourth in line to her brothers throne so she believes she’s just eye candy, determined to find her place in the world and be useful, unfortunately her womb is more useful to the crown than she ever wants to be.
So off she goes, under the cover of darkness to remove her womb and herself out of harm’s way to Paris, where she hopes to lay low for a bit until the dust settles. Only she’s not alone in Paris, there’s someone out to harm or even kill her. But why? And this is where Kannon comes into the picture on horse powered steed.
I really enjoyed this book, and a promising start to a new series. C’mon we all know Carrie Ann Ryan loves to ensnare us and then we find ourselves in non cults and packs for years to come, and I for one love it.
Loved the real characters and their reactions to things, Carrie Ann and Nana does an amazing character and personalities, that feel real and true to themselves.
Looking forward to the next book in the series because if this book is anything to go by, the characters in that one will be amazing too x
While I have read and enjoyed the novels of both Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone, this is the first time they’ve collaborated on a project and I was really looking forward to it. There was a lot to like in this book. The situation is very reminiscent of Nana Malone’s Winston Isles books but the depth of character is very Carrie Ann Ryan. I liked all of the characters individually but I didn’t really feel their connection through the first half. There was a lot of internal talk of being pulled toward the other, but it didn’t feel true. The last half was great and the book definitely finished on a wonderful note. Overall, I enjoyed this book, but not as much as I was hoping but that could simply be teething issues with two writers working together for the first time. I am looking forward to more in the series, with Roman is looking like an early favourite.
Royal Lines was awesome! London is the youngest of 4 with her oldest brother being the King. After being told about an archaic law that an heir must be born before the youngest turns 30, the family decides it’s best if London is in a safe place while they figure out how to fix this. Kannon finds London in an awful situation and saves her. This starts a lot of crazy events, and tons of sexual attraction between the two. This story moves fast and kept my attention throughout. I look forward to more in this series!!
GAH! Nana Malone and Carrie Ann Ryan have created yet another world of royal intrigue that I wish I could live in.You will fall in love with the heads strong, smart and capable Princess London and her unexpected brooding protector Kannon. This is definitely a story of opposites attract, in the best way possible. I can’t wait the next book in this new series!
She was a princess, and I was just a guy who had shown up in the right place at the wrong time.

I enjoyed the twist and turns this story took and read the book fairly quickly. Kannon and London have a ton of chemistry with some wicked sexual tension between them. I enjoyed the side characters and am looking forward to their stories. I did start to get annoyed with Kannon and his constant pushing away but feeling bad about doing so. A good beginning to what is shaping up to be an extremely interesting series.
This is the first book in a new series from two talented authors and it was an brilliant start to this series.
Princess London is running from her royal life when it is decreed that she must marry and produce an heir. Whilst shes on the run she gets in trouble and is saved by the hot and sexy Kannon. The connection between them is off the charts hot. He is perfect for her.
Once I started I couldn’t put this down. It was a great story filled with suspense and danger whilst they try to figure out who is after her. Add in the witty banter and chemistry this is one must read.
I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series
Carrie Ann Ryan has collaborated with Nana Malone in this new series. I wasn’t sure about this story, series at first. And, once I got into the story, I loved it. I am not a fan of kings & queens and such. But this was tastefully done. I found it to be really entertaining. The leads were great. Enjoyed the side characters as well. You two ladies did a great job and have me looking forward to the next book.
This is the 1st in a new series and is Kannon and London’s story. London is a Princess who craves freedom, and when a decree come in that she would have to marry and produce an heir, she is on the run, until her brothers can change rules. Kannon is a security expert who comes across London when she is in trouble, and his protective instincts come to play. Now they need to work together to find out who is after London. This is a good story which is filled with danger, suspense, witty banter, action, and is a light-hearted, fast paced story. I found that I was struggling to engage with the characters at first, but I loom forward to reading the next book in this intriguing series.
