Born in to ruling family of Alden, Princess London Waterford does not want to live the royal life. Being fourth in line, after her three brothers, for the throne, the odds of her ruling are slim. When an old rule surfaces, she decides to take matters in to her own hands and run before she gets tied down in a marriage of convenience. While hiding out, danger finds her and she meets security expert Kannon Adams. The last thing Kannon wants to do is babysit the gorgeous princess, but her life is in danger and he is her only option. The chemistry between these two is off the charts from the very beginning. I really enjoyed the pace and plot was exceptionally good. Really looking forward to reading more about the brothers!
As a Carrie Ann Ryan fan, I wasn’t sure how I would receive a new book about dainty princesses. Royal Line is spectacular. No dainty princesses in this book! Kannon and London’s banter is just off the top funny and so relatable. London is not too diva in her protection. I fell in love with all of the characters, their good, bad and charming quirks. There was a lot of action and depth to the story. I did keep expecting different angles, so I was on my toes as the story unfolded. Ms. Ryan and Ms. Malone did an exciting job of blending their strengths to give us a great new series that I can’t wait for the next one.
Royal Line is a story about a Princess who wants a life outside the castle. When London receives news that she must marry and produce an heir by her 30th birthday, she goes into hiding until her brother, the King, can change this antiquated law.
Kannon owns a security firm and while on assignment in Paris, he rescues London when her car is run off the road. Realizing it wasn’t an accident, he is determined to protect her with his life until he can find out who wants her dead. Their adventure and love affair begins.
A great story by Carrie Ann and Nana!
London and Kannons story was super enjoyable. London is fourth in line to the throne and she’s happy knowing she doesn’t have to worry about becoming queen until her and her brothers find out about a law that could make them lose the throne so London goes into hiding till they come up with a backup plan. Enter Kannon who isn’t the easiest to get to know but London gets under his skin like no other and neither of these two can deny it. Mix in some twists and turns and this book was a good read
This is the first book in the Tattered Royals Series, a Romantic Suspense. This is an amazing collaboration between two of my favorite authors! I love Royal Romance! London and Kannon’s story is fast-paced, action packed, suspenseful, and entertaining. They are two amazing characters! Kannon, a bodyguard, is handsome, and protective. His past is heartbreaking. London, a Princess, is such a beautiful character, strong, independent, and caring. They share a sizzling chemistry. Their push and pull relationship is enthralling. Her very protective brothers are intriguing. This is a great start to this new series, and I can’t wait to read the next book in the Series! If you like Royal Romance with suspense, this series is definitely for you! Looking forward to listen to the audiobook version, narrated by Lacy Laurel and Graham Halstead.
Action-packed and fast-paced, Royal Line is a royal romance full of drama, intrigue, suspense, twists and turns, steam, a feisty heroine and a protective hero. I can’t wait to read Sparrow and Beck’s story in Enemy Heir, Book 2 of the Tattered Royals series.
Royal Line (Tattered Royals, #1)
Carrie Ann Ryan & Nana Malone
Wow!! This story was filled with suspense, drama, angst and a lot more.
I was impressed by the story and how well written it is,I loved the The MC and how the story was told. I can’t wait to read more from the author’s
4.5 stars for me!! I absolutely loved this book!! Nana Malone and Carrie Ann Ryan are writing powerhouses who have joined together to give their readers one fantastic joyride of a story. I cannot say it enough just how much I enjoyed reading Royal Line, the first book in the Tattered Royals series. Wow!! I truly did not expect to not to be able to put this book down once I started reading it, but I was enraptured from the moment I opened this book and I finished it in one sitting. Wow!! I am so in love with the Royal family of Alden.
Royal Line is the story of Princess London Waterford, the youngest and only daughter of the Royal family of Alden, and Kannon Adams, the owner of a security business. London, who is a photographer and desperately wants her independence so that she can become a photojournalist, has been sent away by her brother Roman, the King, in order to protect her from an arcane rule that was just discovered regarding the royal family’s line of ascension, when she meets Kannon, who happens to have just finished his duty guarding the daughter of a diplomat, after being involved in a car accident the sparks fly. It is from the moment of their initial meeting that things take off and never stop going. Oh, the twists and turns, and suspense that London and Kannon’s story takes will keep you suspended to the edge of your seat, and let’s not even mention the chemistry between London and Kannon which jumps right off of the pages. I absolutely love these two together.
If you are looking for nonstop action, suspense, intrigue, and romance with a healthy dose of royal family drama, all wrap into one then Royal Line is the book for you. It is an excellent start to this new series, and I cannot wait for the next book in this series to release. Bravo, Nana Malone and Carrie Ann Ryan!
As the youngest of the four siblings that make up the royal family of Alden, London has few responsibilities to the throne, and has some freedom (not a lot, but some) to pursue her own interests. But her 29th birthday brings a shocking revelation to the family when they learn of an ancient law requiring a baby to be born to one of the four before the youngest turns 30, or they lose the crown.
Jumping into action, her brothers send her off in the dark of night to go into seclusion out of the country with her friend, while they try to overturn the outdated law.
When London is run off the road, it and is trapped in her car, she’s fortunate that security specialist Kannan happens by the scene. But it soon becomes clear that someone is out to insure London doesn’t reach her next birthday, and suddenly her fate is placed firmly in the hands of a man she’s never met before.
As the male members of her family works to release themselves from the old laws, London is in lock down with Kannon and his team. As London and Kannon grow closer, it becomes harder for them to deny the chemistry they share.
London is a strong, independent and fiery heroine that can give as good as she gets. Meanwhile, Kannon has been emotionally shut down for years – but resisting the temptation of the princess is more than even he can endure.
Meanwhile, London also grows closer to her brothers, learning just how far the will go to keep the heat off of her. Royal Line is a great introduction to the Tattered Royals – I am already looking forward to her older siblings finding their matches in women as strong as their sister.
My anxiety over the anticipation of this release was rewarded tenfold! I loved everything about this story! It was entertaining and fun with just enough suspense to give it a quick spark! It’s not a unique theme or idea for a royal romance, but these ladies made it spark for me. They wrote the perfect mix of action and suspense entwined with the romance journey that kept me glued to my reader. It’s not a long story by any means, but it’s also not lacking in any way. It felt very rounded to me and I was fully satisfied in the end. It’s not an insta anything but you can feel the spark between Kannon and London from the moment they lay eyes on each other.
I haven’t read many books by Nana Malone, but I have read quite a few by Carrie Ann and I still could not honestly pick out who wrote what/when/where. I really like that in collaborations. It makes me feel like I’m reading a brand-new author and when the story hits the mark as much as this one did, it’s pure bliss for me as a reader. I was thoroughly entertained for an afternoon and I’m looking forward to another entertaining afternoon when Enemy Heir releases!
This is the first book in the Tattered Royals series and I have to say I was surprised with how much I enjoyed this read.
There was a little bit of everything from angst, suspense, drama and all the hot stuff!
It was a bit of a rollercoaster but I loved it!
I can’t wait to see what happens in the rest of the series.
When you enjoy two authors and then they decide to write stories together, you know the result is going to be flipping fantastic! I expected no less and got just that. A little royalty from Nana and a little sass and Alpha from Carrie combines for a fun, steamy, and adventurous story. A royal who didn’t want to be a real princess and a bodyguard who didn’t want to love her. Loved the mischievous London and the tough (but really a marshmallow) Kannon who couldn’t seem to keep their hands off each other and didn’t really want too either. From beginning to end, this was a fun story to read with no cliff hanger and more to come!
I received an ARC from the authors in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
I am a fan of both Nana Malone and Carrie Ann Ryan, so I was excited to read a book that they wrote jointly. Nana Malone, in particular, is a favorite of mine in the royal romance trope, and I knew that I’d be in good hands with her. I’m familiar with Carrie Ann Ryan’s Montgomery Ink series, and she is a go-to author a reliable romance with heart, too.
Royal Line, a series starter, was a great bodyguard romance. Kannon tried so hard not to fall for London, to do the right thing, to let her go, but at the end of the day, their love is just not something that could be denied. I wish that Kannon had gotten out of his own way sooner in some respects, but he was trying to do what he thought was the right thing.
I very much enjoyed this, and I can’t wait for more in this series.
I am a rabid fan of CAR so I knew going in that this book would be great. I’ve never read a book from Nana Malone and was very excited to see what she would bring to the table, well the table has turned into an awesome factor. This book was wonderful, it checked all of my boxes, drama, falling in love, different worlds, and of course a happy ending. While it took a long time to get to that, there was enough of everything else to keep me glued to this book to finish in one sitting!!
Cannot wait for the next book in the Tattered Royals series!
What happens when you throw together two awesome author’s and they write a book together? You get an awesome start to a new series! London is a princess with thee protective, alpha brothers. But London has dreams that are bigger than her just being a princess, and she just wants the chance to make them reality! But then a forgotten rule comes into play, and she runs rather than adhere to it. She doesn’t want to sacrifice everything and marry and produce an heir with someone who doesn’t even care about her. She never expects to run into danger. Kannon is the owner of a security business. He thinks he knows everything there is to know about London and her “type”. But when she finds herself in danger, he doesn’t trust anyone else but himself to keep her safe. And with the chemistry they share, the proximity might push them to confront how they are coming to feel for each other.
I absolutely enjoyed how this story played out! Everyone always has preconceived thoughts on how people that live their lives in the limelight really are, even behind closed doors. Never fully realizing that there is more to them than what we see on a camera or in a newspaper article. I loved this take on what someone of royalty might truly feel about the life she is forced to live just because of the family she was born into. But I also just genuinely liked London as a character. She may have been born into money and the like, but it never made her snobby or stuck on herself. She has a kindness to her that is hard to find in most people. But she also has this strength of will and isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in. Kannon is definitely the protective and alpha type of man that I love in my stories. But he also can be kind of stupid LOL! But I still liked him, even when I thought he was making dumb decisions and hurting someone he claims to care about. On a whole, the story is very well written, I was sucked in from the start, and I definitely didn’t want it to end! I can’t wait for her brother’s stories now though!!
I enjoyed London’s story. Kannon was a hot mess. Together they created a storm but weathered it in the end. The culprit was not unexpected but the ending surely was. I received an advanced copy of this book and freely leave this honest review.
Princess London Waterford has three brothers , One a King and Two Princess and they all in line ahead of her for the Crown so WHY on her 29th birthday is she just learning she need to procure and heir before she turns 30 or her family will loose the Crown ?? Really what year are we in they ALL think .. even Aunt Rebecca !!
When the King sends London away until he solves this little problem she runs into a problem of her own while she is ALONE and NO one to help or save her ….
Kannon Adams is on his way back to Los Angelas after a security job .. since he owns Kannon Security and he like to be on jobs for friends .. he needs to unwind so he takes a nice long ride in the Paris country side. Of course you know he runs into a little bit of trouble and his relaxing drive turns into a car chase and gun fight and guess who is the trouble he runs into .. LONDON !!
He know deep down in his gated heart he can’t just leave he so security being in his blood he know what he has to and want to do .. PROTECT LONDON !! And protect her he does .. in more way then one ??
But can the body guard fall for the princess or will the princess fall for the body guard ?? Can they be .. can they live .. can they produce an heir ??
Omg I LOVED IT !! The twist, turns and forbidden LOVE in this installment of the Tattered Royals was FANTASTIC !! Can’t wait for more …
I really enjoyed this story from the combined talents of Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone. I’ve enjoyed their own books and when they combined their talents, the book was everything you could hope for. London was a princess with very controlling brothers and just wanted to do her own thing. She was a talented photographer and was shattered when she was expected to marry and produce an heir within a year. She gets away and meets Kannon who runs a security business when someone runs her off the road. When they are shot at, Kannon knows this is series. The adventure they go on is exciting – there is lots of drama, romance and hot sex. The storyline was excellent and I look forward to the next one in the series. I got this book from the author and am leaving an honest review
Different kind of book then I am used to from Carrie Ann Ryan but I really enjoyed it! London just wanted to be her own person and do what she loves instead of being a princess. Kannon just gets done with one job and is thrown into helping London. These two fought their attention so hard. I loved everything about this book. Then to find out who was trying to kill London. Wow I didn’t see that one coming. I am looking forward to the next book in this series!
I wanted to slap a few royals (not London) for their idiotic response to the issue lol, but I love love love London and Kannon (okay, maybe I wanted to knock him upside the head too once or twice). They are just what each other needs, and once they get out of their own way, their story is just swoony. Sparrow and Rian are also awesome side characters and I cannot wait for their books!
