The first book in the Tattered Royals series, Royal Line was a wonderful first glimpse in the world of royalty. London is the baby and only girl of the family and has always been protected. When she finds herself in need of help, Kannon was in the right place and time. And from the first glance, you can see their chemistry come alive. As danger escalate and heat level sizzle, they find themselves in a romance with no promise of forever. And what happens next was action packed with suspense and emotions. I’m already in love with this series and I can’t wait to see what happens next in this addicting series.
This is the first book in the new series by these very talented authors. Kannon and London’s story is one you will enjoy, it is very entertaining and a bit refreshing as it doesn’t go the way you first think when you see a Royal Princess and a Bodyguard story. I enjoyed the little suspense within the story, the character’s chemistry is a good one and definitely liked the rest of the characters in this world. I’m looking forward into reading the rest of the series.
Two Authors bringing us an amazing book filled with danger, passion and love. London and Kannon two people that were not supposed to meet but were thrown together by chance. A situation that had them both dogging bullets and hiding from kidnappers. Neither of them expected the excitement and danger that lay ahead.
An exciting read from to of my favorite authors giving me the best of their worlds. A must read!!
This was a fantastic read. London was the perfect part sarcastic and sweet! Kannon was awesome for her. They were able to complete each other. It was also a great unexpected read from Carrie Ann Ryan.
Royal Line is the story of London and Kannon and is the start of another series from two of my favorites Nana Malone and Carrie Ann Ryan! This is a great story and I am loving this new group of siblings. London was a fantastic character and I fell in love with Kannon from the very beginning. London’s brothers and other people in her life only added to the enjoyment of this book. London and Kannon were put through lots of tests in the book but I think the ending was absolutely perfect. The reveal of the bad guy was someone I did sort of suspect but was still shocked how it all played out. I also love how the next few stories got a bit of a setup and I cannot wait to read about the rest of Alden royalty!
I absolutely loved this story! This was a fun read for me. I really enjoyed the characters and the secondary characters in this one. It was a great kickoff to the series. We get to meet London as she is trying to leave to go complete an assignment as a photojournalist. She is the fourth in line for the Alden throne but just feels like she is on the outside looking in. She is expected to be the princess without much of a job in the court and she wants more out of her life. She is stopped by her brothers and then everything gets thrown sideways when an obscure law gets brought up stating that unless the current generation in power has an heir by the time the youngest turns 30, the crown will pass to the next family in line. London just turned 29 and as she is the only female looks to be the one expected to accomplish this. Thankfully her 3 older brothers do not want that for her so they are going to try and change the law but in the meantime she is sent away so the council can’t try and force the issue. After she leaves Alden in route to her friend’s house to hide out she is run off the road. She meets Kannon who helps pull her up from the ravine and then saves her from the bullets that come her way. He is a security specialist so he decides to take on her protection and keep her safe while they try and figure out who is after her. I enjoyed the action and intrigue in this story. Kannon has a hard past that he blames himself for. He has known loss and so has London, though in different ways. London is able to get past his walls, quickly and unexpectedly. Neither knows what to do with that. When together they have a hard time denying and not acting on the connection and chemistry but it does send both of them running at times. Most of the events take place in a very short time period but it doesn’t really feel like that. It feels like we got to know them so well in that short time period and see them build something even though both want to run to save themselves as well. It felt realistic in that respect. The characters are genuine and while they do stupid stuff, it fits. I enjoyed the way that the story developed and how these two had to work to figure out what they wanted themselves in order to figure out what to do about being a lasting couple. The story is well written and I am very excited for the rest of the series!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Wow. Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone wrote one heck of a story. London and Kannon had chemistry that singed my kindle and had me dying for more. This book is the start of a new series and left me wanting the next book. There is some insta love, but the way it was done seemed very realistic. I’m intrigued by London’s brothers and the rest of the people who work for Kannon. This series has a lot of potential and I now eagerly await the next book.
Although i really liked it, i just felt it went too quick. Though that’s not to say i wouldn’t read it again, i feel if i read it again my four star will change to a five at a later date Saying that though i loved both Kannon and London and can’t wait for more from this series
What I liked:
Loved London and Kannon and their romance. You can absolutely see them in the future being one hell of a strong couple. Even though it was a whirlwind romance there wasn’t a single moment where I doubted that they were falling for each other.
London’s older brothers were awesome and I can’t wait to read the next one. It was set up very nicely.
I thought the “bad guy” was really well done. Some clues along the way, but whether you put it together or not doesn’t take away from the revealing moment.
What I struggled with:
I had a hard time following the plot at first. It was a bit confusing and I didn’t fully understand why London had to leave. About 1/3 of the way things started to make more sense to me, so perhaps it was just me.
I’ve read many Carrie Ann books, this was my first Nana book, the combination of these two is amazing.
I had such a good time reading about London and Kannon, so much drama at first but then they each have personal struggles.
Great beginning to the series, we get to see and feel the family dynamics which will play big roles I’m assuming in upcoming books. Such a great storyline, won’t go too much into it, don’t want to spoil it, but it was one wild ride.
This is the first book in the Tattered Royals series and it is a tour de force from two authors who give readers one delectable read as they combined their talents for this one. As a lover of Ms. Malone’s other royals, I was delighted to meet Princess London and Kannon. The storyline is told from dual points of view and the authors seamlessly blended together to craft this book. London is feeling trapped in a gilded cage and all she wants to do is be a photojournalist. However, due to an obscure law, she is tasked with getting married and producing an heir. Now she does have a few brothers so it begs the question, why can’t they do something? All of a sudden, she is granted permission to leave. Thinking all is well as London winds up in Paris, things seem to go more awry and she meets Kannon. The chemistry between the two is off the charts and their banter is second to none. Overall, this is a well written, witty drama with suspense, action and steam. One click this book and then make the time to devour it in one sitting because you will not be able to help falling for these characters who take you on the adventure of a lifetime. I cannot wait for more from this series!
Bring on the Royals!
Royals. Nana Malone. And Carrie Ann Ryan. What more could you ask for. Two amazing authors mixing up their styles and making you love a new cast of characters!
Being a Princess comes with lots of stress, headaches, and unwanted rules. These rules cause London to question what will become of her life. And more so, it causes her to run! So her determination and desires drive her to find a different path.
Kannon is that guy. The one who has the strength to hold it all together, but is just tired of having to do it all. But that doesn’t change his duty, nor he drive. And he can’t deny that making sure London comes out unscathed is a main priority.
London & Kannon are the perfect beginning to a new series. As with many series, the characters are introduced and they grow throughout the series. Both London & Kannon have strong personalities which lead to a more explosive coupling. They have to find themselves while learning each other.
And yes, for those of us that love Nana’s books, you get your HEA so
Can’t wait for the next installment.
London Waterford was born into a world of duty. A princess and forth in line to the throne but there is so much more to this woman than duty and honor would dictate that she be. London has a mind of her own, is sassy and can fire back with the best of them. She’s strong willed, independent and passionate. She’s definitely not your average princess.
Kannon Adams is broody and all alpha. Protective by nature and caring in ways you would not expect. Knowing hard loss, Kannon takes his job very seriously, even if it puts him in some babysitting situations at times. Finding a woman in distress, it’s only natural for him to help. Yet in a single moment he knew it was going to be so much more than help for the both of them.
Royal Line was an unexpectedly enjoyable read. I am not a huge fan of royal romances. But I’m always willing to give an author I enjoy a try on something new. From the moment London and her brothers started going back and forth I knew I wasn’t getting your average royal romance. When London and Kannon met that was the game changer. They were amazing from the get go. Her sass and his need to protect – amazing, hot chemistry! Crazy royal laws, the need for more, the want to protect, the family dirt !!!!!! I loved it all. Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone start this series off with a bang. Royal Line had me hooked from beginning to end and I can’t wait to see what come next in the Tattered Royals Series.
Carrie Ann Ryan and NANA Malone, make such a phenomenal team when it comes to writing books that will have you completely entranced from the start .Royal Line is the first Book In a new series. London has lived a pretty Normal life considering she is royalty .Their are many expectations that she is expected to uphold . London has dreams of her own though . Will she be able to peruse them? Or will she do what her family expects of her ? I became so invested in both London and Kannon’s story .Kannon and his security team do their best to keep London safe from a unknown threat . I loved watching the development of Kannons and London’s relationship, though rhe book. As they spend more time with one another , their feeling change , they soon realize they are falling for one another . Is attraction enough though as they come from two different worlds ? Will they be able to find happiness together . Wow , what a emotional book , full of steak , intrigue, chemistry, a bit of slow burn and wonderful characters . There are many twists and turns, you will not expect . This is truly a fantastic and emotional romance not to be missed
Four and a half stars
Royal Line is the first in the Tattered Royals series by Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone. Told in alternating first person, this is the story of Princess London Waterford of Alden and Kannon Adams, a security expert. They meet by chance when he happens by to intervene on an attempt on her life. Their chemistry is fierce and immediate, but their circumstances are hardly ideal, and Kannon is intent not only on protecting London from harm, but from what he considers his broken self.
Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone write an exciting, steamy time for Kannon and London. She reveals herself to be far from a spoiled princess, and her determination to do what’s right and to not simply mindlessly obey as she’s told win Kannon’s heart and ours. Royal Line is a terrific start to the series, and the ones to come sound to be full of the same energy and spirit!
Nana Malone and Carries and Ryan come together to write a brand new series. Royal line is the first book in ever tattered Royals series.this is This is a great start to the series and I am read more. I voluntarily leave an honest review for this Advanced Readers Copy.
Royal Line is the first in the Tattered Royals series by Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone. Both of these authors have a great way of drawing me in and allowing me to escape into whatever worlds they make, so I was really excited to see them teaming up on a series. Royal Line was a great book. I loved this story and can’t wait to see where this series goes.
I love reading both authors Nana Malone and Carrie Ann Ryan and couldn’t wait to read their first book written together. (Princess) London hates her royal duties because she is 4th in line to the throne with 3 protective older brothers and feels she will never be queen. Her brother Roman is the current King because their parents are dead. London LOVES photography and wants to travel the world as a photo journalist.
On her 29th birthday she and her brothers find out that there is an archaic law for a baby heir to be born before the youngest of the siblings turns 30. This only gives them 1 year to figure out how to change this law OR London has to have a baby. Since she doesn’t even have a boyfriend nor is she interested in marrying and having children without love, this seems impossible.
She escapes to Paris while her brothers try to figure out a solve. Immediately someone is trying to kill her and Kannon, a security expert, happens to be at the right place at the wrong time to rescue her.
Without giving away it’s secrets, this book is full of suspense and romance. I am now anxious to read the rest of this series.
Royal Line by Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone is the first book in their new series of royals, Tattered Royals and I am all here for it. This was an enemies to lovers story that will captivate you right from the start. An old and very outdated law has come to light stating London must marry and provide an heir. Not ready to give up on her life yet and with the protection of her brothers, they set out to find a way around this. Then London finds trouble, literally, and not just in the form of one handsome, protective Kannon. Steamy, suspenseful, and witty, I loved reading this story! I am very excited to see what is coming next in the series!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
