Never Ending FEELS!
One heck of an incredible rollercoaster ride of all the feels with a heart pounding unstoppable storyline that is impossible to put down. An amazing well executed story that I loved and thrilled to have read.
Road trip doesn’t begin to describe the journey that Nora and Anderson embark on. Their story is filled with love, loss, grief, guilt, fate, self discovery, and second chances. The twists in this fast paced book hold your attention throughout.
Even with their complicated histories, what struck me the most was how realistic the story felt — the emotions, the struggle to move on, the angst, the FEELS.
While heart breaking at times, this captivating book will have you cheering for Nora and Anderson to find a way to their happily ever after. I’m looking forward to reading more about them in the follow up book, Tangled Games.
Royal Games is an excellent, 5 star read that I highly recommend. It is definitely in the running for my best 2020 romance book.
Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
**3.5 stars**
Nora has had a tough few years. She is recently divorced from Jeremy. It didn’t end badly; she just found out he wasn’t into women. She was previously engaged to Hunter, and we don’t know exactly what happened, but you do know it’s something tragic. She decides to head off on a road trip, where she meets Anderson. They have an immediate deep connection, and start to travel together across the United States. But, he is holding some major secrets.
My favorite part of the book was the female friendships. Their parties were particularly fun! I also really enjoyed all the sites on the road trip. One of which was from my own hometown! Unfortunately, I did struggle to connect to the characters, especially Nora. Royal Games is the fourth in the Dating Games series. It’s written for a totally different couple, but I’m not sure it’s an actual standalone. I’m wondering if Nora’s story was introduced and given more details originally in one of the other books, because I felt like I was missing something from the very beginning, since I hadn’t read the first three. If you have the time, I would probably recommend reading the first three prior to this. Perhaps you’ll have a better chance of connecting with the characters than I personally did.
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a great read! It reminded me of Serendipity and The Prince and Me. I was drawn to Nora and this adventure that she needed to take. After losing her fiance 6 years ago in a car crash and remarrying a man years later only to walk in on him with another man– she needed a vacation where she could put the past behind her. To travel Route 66 and spread Hunter’s ashes as one last adventure with her first love. When she crossed paths with Anderson, I had my fingers crossed that faith would play a part. Nora and Anderson could feel a strange, yet exciting energy that both made them feel alive and hopeful. I loved how their lives intertwined. The tragedy that they both experienced is heartbreaking…but things happen for a reason whether we like it or not.
Being a fan of T.K. Leigh for some time now, I was beyond excited for Royal Games and let me tell you she did not disappoint with this emotional ride that you are taken on with Nora and Anderson. This is a stunning story of finding love when you least expect it while on an epic ride of self discovery. The wit and banter between these two is priceless and the chemistry is sizzling. I love the play at fate and chance moments in this story between these two. I thought it was beyond beautiful how it all played out.
The one thing I can say is the fluidity of this story is beautiful and watching these characters grow throughout the story is awe inspiring. It had raw moments. It had an amazing back and forth. It has stunning character build and development. Especially for Nora. Centering around this whole trip, she really finds herself and realizes she is deserving of that epic love. It was very poignant to read!
Nora and Anderson have chemistry from their first encounter and it only intensifies each time fate pushes them together. They are both trying to overcome broken hearts after devastating losses. My heart hurt for what they both were trying to overcome and what they were currently facing.
Even with the sparks and undeniable chemistry, would they be able to overcome anything that comes their way? Well, someone has a secret that could destroy what they started to build together.
I figured out early on what the secret was but still enjoyed reading how things played out for them. I love when TK makes me smile after tugging on my heart. Let me not forget to mention that this book is HOT!! You are going to overheat with all the sexiness your about to encounter.
I would definitely recommend this book.
I haven’t read previous books in this series but since each book is standalone, I was able to catch up quickly.
Although I enjoyed it overall, it did start off somehow slow for me. I struggled with the first half untill it picked up in the middle.
The storyline deals with lots of emotional and intense topics which are written really well and with great care.
I instantly liked both main characters, but I didn’t really buy their connection at first. Luckily it became better as the story progressed and soon I couldn’t help but root for Nora and Anderson to finally get hea they both more than deserved.

Wow, just wow. T.K. Swept me an adventure of a lifetime.
Who knew this adventure would lead to secrets and heartache and great love.
I want to go on my own journey on some road, experience and fall in love.
I absolutely fell in love with Anderson and Nora, a couple who thrilled me, made me feel like I was with them every moment. And that’s what’s great about T. K. writing. You get into the soul of her heroes.
Highly recommend and of course waiting for more …
As a fan of this author, I will always read whatever she writes. Unfortunately for me, this wasn’t my favorite book in this series.
Many readers are most likely going to love this book. Who doesn’t love a book where an every day woman falls for a prince?
For me, this one was a little cliche and unoriginal for this author. Although she doesn’t write royal books, I felt like she could’ve changed out the hero with one of her previous heroes and it still would have been the same book. It just didn’t stand out for me.
Everything in this story from beginning to end had me captivated. Living in the moment is so rarely done. But needs to happen more and more. You’ll never know what you’ll miss unless you take the leap of faith and give fate a chance. Past and present can collide in a frenzy ! Stand still, think, breath. Nora is one of the strongest heroines I have ever seen! Her character endured the unthinkable, but she is still such a genuinely loving and wonderful woman. Anderson deserved to find Nora . No matter anyone’s circumstances they deserve happiness and breath taking moments. Their entire trip was like a dream. Wonderous and tantalizing. I honestly could not get enough of Royal Games. This story has quickly become one of my absolute favorites. And now I’ll patiently wait for the audio so I can re live this book all over again .

This was an excellent read. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Nora and Anderson. Their shared background totally gutted me though. I can’t wait to read more about them but I’m also hoping that Esme and Creed get their own book. There is something between those two that I want to see resolved.
An emotional roller coaster
This story has all the feels! It will pull you in every direction. Tragic and heart warming. Absolutely beautiful! A journey of new beginning.
T.K. Leigh
Royal Games was wonderful. A rollercoaster ride with ups, downs and twists. This book hit all my emotional buttons. I loved Nora and Anderson and enjoyed their adventure on Route 66 and watching their journey play out. They’re both going on a personal journey and when they meet there is a connection they can’t deny. This is a beautiful tale of healing, forgiveness and love. I’m looking forward to more of Nora and Anderson in Tangled Games.
I have enjoyed all the books in this series so far, but have to say that this one was one of my favourites. After her divorce from Jeremy Nora needs a vacation. She decides to drive Route 66, a plan that she made with her fiance 6 years ago before he died. She wants to leave part of his ashes at places that they had planned to visit together and finally say goodbye to him.
Anderson gets a medical diagnosis that devastates him and to forget about it for a while he also decides to drive Route 66. These two lost people keep running into each other along the way and finally realize that they have a connection and decide to continue the trip together.
Not only do they take the trip the reader does too. It was so much fun to look up on Google places that they visited such as the Cadillac Ranch and I definitely want to visit there too. As they go along they reveal their secrets to each other, until Anderson finally tells Nora the big secret that he is hiding, hoping that it will not freak her out too much.
This story is poignant as Nora remembers her fiance but is also full of fun banter and sizzling heat. It’s an amazing read and hard to put down, and it leaves you craving the sequel as you wonder how Nora is going to deal with her new life with Anderson.
My favorite moment is you.”
I absolutely ADORED this book. I’ve been under the weather and wanted to just read a few chapters before I went to bed, but then I couldn’t stop. From the very beginning the romance between Nora and Anderson captivated me. They have such a powerful, beautiful, intense, painful, all consuming love that left me begging for more!
Our Nora hasn’t had an easy life, and that’s the understatement of the century. Her mother is the absolute worst, and lost her fiance and unborn baby in a car accident six years ago, and now she’s really divorced after she caught her husband with another man. She’s definitely had a lifetime of pain, but with the help of her besties, and realizes that she never moved on from Hunter (her fiance who died) and essentially replaced him with her ex-husband so she wouldn’t be forced to grieve his loss head-on. Nora decides to take the trip Hunter and her always planned on Route 66, all the while spreading his ashes at stops along the way. At her very first night in a diner, she meets a man that she’s immediately drawn to, one whom she keeps running into on her journey (I got all the Serendipity feels!!) And she soon realizes that this man has been put in her life for a reason.. only to find out that they are connected in ways she never would have imagined.
Anderson stole my heart from the very first moment we met him. He’s such an old soul, knows first hand how loss changes a person, and is struggling with what his future will look like admist a personal revelation, AND trying to decide what’s best for his country — since ya know, he’s a prince– He takes his own journey across Route 66 and falls for the beautiful Nora who makes him yearn for the things he never thought he would have again. But when she learns about his past, will he be able to keep his love?
I felt ALL the emotions while reading this book. This is TK at her best, and the twist at the end had me smiling so big!! Please one click this amazing book!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**
Angsty drama-characters packed with wittiness and intelligence, and chemistry that’s just off the charts-this book was absolute perfection for me.
Nora and Anderson quickly have torpedoed to the top of my favorite couple that this author has written. These two individuals were so broken, yet their chemistry was just off the charts at all times. I absolutely loved how different this story was-how they were traveling on this route to start fresh only to be thrown together. The two of them were just so genuine, I found myself not wanting to put the book down, ever. I could literally live in their world forever. This is an absolute must read for me-it was filled with drama and angst that will truly break your heart, but it wasn’t dark to scare anyone away. Just perfect!
This was a full length book about Nora and Anderson. Nora is a yoga instructor who is a recent divorcee and holding onto pain from her past. Anderson is a crown prince whom has just received difficult news and is trying to process what this looks like for his future. By fate they meet on 4 occasions and end up taking a road trip together.
This book was an utter page turner that I couldn’t put down. It took me on an emotional roller coaster ride, that had me laughing and my heart breaking for the characters. It drew me in so I felt like I was in the story with them. It had some hot and steamy scenes. It was very well written. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

“The problem with reading a good book is you want to finish the book, but you don’t want to finish the book”
Royal Games by T.K. Leigh fits that bill, except it is not a good book…it is a great story. Mind you, this is Book 5 of the series and all prior stories have been great, but this one goes further than ever to stress your heart one minute and have you swooning with joy the next. While it is a stand alone, if you have not read the prior stories, you will want to by the time you are finished with this one.
Some men are thrown into power while others work their lives to reach that thrown. Also, some men are torn between believing they are right, and knowing what really is. Anderson is one of those men. Strong, smart, charming, worldly and yet confused, troubled and torn. Life’s mission for him has been preordained since birth, but sometimes reality has a way of clouding a man’s judgement causing him to question his faith in himself as well as those beside him. His discoveries will damage all he has known. His battles will either liberate or destroy him.
Nora is “that” girl. We all have them as friends or know of such a person. The girl who has the job most can only dream of. The one that always appears at an event with nothing out of place. The one that is true to her friends unyieldingly. And the one we know is battling demons that continue to rip at her heart. Nora’s past has been battered with heartache and sadness, and even when working to pull up her bootstraps she still endures more pain and disappointment. Yet she always appears with a smile on her face, keeping the curious at bay.
When talking about this story I left out that one word “But”. While each of them battles with their own issues, what good is a love story that does not have a “but” involved. Their battles were their own, but that one accidental chance meeting was all it took to give them a little light into what ifs. What ifs from their past and what ifs for their futures. Chance meeting is one thing, but then being thrown together only heightened the question of “how do you learn to trust a stranger.” Once that wheel started rolling for them, I was not safe to be around, because putting this book down was almost impossible. T.K. Leigh will have your feelings on edge from beginning to end. Anderson and Nora’s relationship grows from within and T.K. expresses that one minute in humor, the next in hotness and in the end a blossoming and coming together of two people who were always meant for each other.
There were spots in this story where the hairs on my arms stood on end. That is how powerful and unexpected some of the twists and turns were in this story. T.K. Leigh, I cannot begin to put enough stars towards this rollercoaster joy ride you sent me on, but I can say WELL DONE!
This book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. The MCs are Nora and Anderson. From their first meeting you can feel that chemistry and you know you are in for a ride. Get it? Ride. LOL. Yes, our H and h set out on a journey of discovery in a car. Of course, they find themselves navigating through a developing relationship but they both are unsure. They both have been through so much in life and carry such burdens and heartbreak that it’s not easy to let go with each other. As they live and learn on the road, they are drawn together and sparks fly but how’s this all going to work out when someone has a secret that could tear apart their newfound romance? This is a romance with a HEA so rest assured they figure it out but I guarantee you will enjoy how it gets there. Well written, engaging, and very enjoyable I recommend this book and give it four big stars.
