What a great story!! There’s a big ‘WOW’ moment about half way through that totally got me! It’s a total twist to their story and I never saw it coming! From reading the previous Dating Game books, I have been dying to know more of Nora’s backstory and it doesn’t disappoint!!
I felt their love story to the core…this line had me falling in love with them! Who wouldn’t want this in their life?!
“Because, deep down, I know it wasn’t a simple handshake. A handshake doesn’t make your knees weak. A handshake doesn’t make your heart ricochet into your throat. A handshake doesn’t make your core clench. A handshake doesn’t allow you to peer into another person’s soul. Yet I felt all that with him.”
I love royal storylines. They’re one of my favorites in the romance genre even though in real life I don’t follow royal families. I just love the fictional aspect of falling in love with a royal prince.
This story was a rollercoaster of ups and downs. My heart ached badly for Nora. I couldn’t wait for her to start to heal. I became so invested once the road trip started. We learn that both Nora and Anderson have had major struggles to overcome. What a great read. This author wrote well with likable characters and a great storyline. It was a highly emotional read for me.
The reason for my 3.5 star rating? If my baby died at 6 mos gestation, I would be livid if any medical personnel called my wanted baby a fetus. LIVID. Medically, after 20 weeks, it’s called a stillbirth. Also, when a baby dies in utero, labor can be induced immediately if that’s what a mother wants OR a mother can choose to wait to see IF natural labor begins. Because of deterioration, waiting more than three weeks is not acceptable from medical stand point and induction may be necessary at that point. But it is the mother’s/couple’s choice to choose. I’ve known several women/couples who have had to choose. It’s heartbreaking regardless the decision made. If a hospital treats a mother in a manner where the baby is just a fetus and she isn’t allowed induction of labor after the child’s death, RAISE HELL. That’s not political, that’s hospital policy.
Which gets to my point. The author voicing her opinion for women’s right to choose as a political stand does not even apply in this situation. Writing about your views in a situation where it applies is one thing. But throwing that in the middle of this made no sense whatsoever and the whole situation totally got my ire up.

I have been wild with anxiousness waiting for this book! Nora and Anderson’s story is one I was not expecting and yet it’s one I feel I needed the most!
Besides knowing it involved royalty I hadn’t read much on what the story was going to be about exactly! I knew some healing would be involved and an adventure but other than that I knew nothing else! Let me tell you; IM BLOWN AWAY! The amount of healing and forgiveness that each character must come to terms with was not something I saw coming! This story is more than just a wild adventure romance! These two are more connected than they think and the reasons why will have you gathering all the tissue!
I always expect a T.k Leigh novel to take me on an emotional journey but this story was more than I expected and everything my soul needed! From loving yourself to the power of love and forgiveness this book takes you on a journey you won’t ever want to return from! Laced with humor, and history you find your self crying, giggling and full on swooning with each chapter!
Anderson and Nora are both two souls healing and trying to figure out their “what next” as their lives hang in a balance they find comfort in one another but when truths are learned both will have to make major decisions and will discover is love can truly heal or if some pains aren’t just the past but also the here and now!
Nora is definitely one of the strongest heroines I have read and this book makes me appreciate her that much more! Seeing all the girls again made my heart happy but seeing Nora grow and find her way really had me in awe with her! A very beautiful character! Anderson in his own right needs to have recognition because not only is a patient kind hearted beautiful man but he’s also just a person trying to find peace! His demons are strong but his strength proves to be more and that right there is what makes him the perfect man for Nora!
This is definitely a summer must read and story that won’t be easily forgotten! Anderson and Nora will forever be a couple a carry with me!
This is a great story about chance encounters that’s so unexpected after losses and heartbreaks.
After getting a devastating diagnosis, Anderson set out on a trip before he couldn’t do it anymore. What’s the chance he would meet Nora, who later he accompanies on a Route 66 road trip. Right then and there, he felt some sort of connection towards Nora, in which later on, he would find out the secret to that connection.
The Route 66 road trip was supposed to be a road trip Nora would be going with her fiance, Hunter. For 6 years, after Hunter’s death, she never found the strength or courage to realised their dream together. And she finally start the journey after her divorce. She never thought she would be accompanied by a prince on this journey though. They have this undeniable chemistry and it only intensifies while they’re on this journey together. They are both trying to overcome broken hearts after devastating losses. Will they deny themselves of their chemistry and attraction for each other because of their past heartbreaks?
One thing I should mention is the way the road trip was described by the author, it’s very visual that it feels like I was on the road trip too.
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Nora and Anderson. She just getting out of a divorce, but still grieving her fiance’s death from 6 years before. Her friends convince her to take a road trip to remember and let him go. Anderson is the Crown Prince of Belmont and he’s just received a blow, he’s been diagnosed with MS. They meet in a dinner on Route 66. Both trying to find something. As they get to know each other their lives seem to intermingle. After great sorrow comes a great HEA.

4.5 STARS
“In the end, love is the only thing that matters. And you’ll find that love in a familiar stranger.”
Royal Games is a light-hearted yet emotional that was sweet, sexy and kept a huge smile on my face kind of book. I really adored this story.
This is a story of two lost souls who found each other in an epic adventure.
Anderson being a crown prince of Belmont puts a lot of pressure in him. Still reeling from his tragic past and concerning about his physical situation he decided to go on a journey.
While, Nora with the help of her friends. They convinced her to go on a vacation after getting divorced. She decided to travel the historical Route66 which she was originally planned to do with her late fiance.
Nora and Anderson meet each other on the diner for the first time. There’s an immediate connection between them. And the undeniable attraction are getting stronger when they kept on bumping to each other. And when Nora’s car broke down .. Anderson ask her to go on an adventure together.
Is it fate? Or is it something to do with their past?
T.k Leigh deliver this book perfectly. The characters are well developed. We see them open up and drawn to each other and get caught up in their short time together on their journey. I swoon over Anderson POV. He was smart, sexy, flirty and charming. I love him. He gives a lot of heat and I’m not complaining ! Same with Nora ..she is strong, sweet and lovely. Though their past laced with sadness and heartbreaks they don’t let it consume them. Instead they let their love for each other guide them through another journey to the future. A perfect story of love, forgiveness and acceptance.
This is really good and an easy read. It hooked me from the start and I’d finished it in one sitting.
And I can’t wait for the next book !! I want more Anders and Nora !!
I love this story plot so much! Especially when it’s written by Leigh. The characters Nora and Anderson are so cute and their chemistry is undeniable.
I have been waiting so patiently for this book.
Nora and Anderson are a breath of fresh air. It was kismet that they met. Then that their paths kept crossing.
While reading this book I had so many emotions. I didn’t want the ride to end but some parts I was mad and sad.
We saw some old friends through phone calls which I loved.
TKs writing and this series just gets better.
Each book of this series tells the story of 4 friends: Chloe, Evie, Izzy and Nora. I’ll be honest and tell you that I didn’t read the previously 3 books, but after this one I can’t wait to read all of them. This what friendship means and I was so happy to dive in their relationships. I envy them, in a good way, because all of us deserve friends like that, a close unit, and Nora sure as hell needed them.
Nora has a trouble and sad past. First she lost her fiancé Hunter (and a lot more) in a tragic car accident, then years later she got married, only to bust him with another man. Now freshly divorced, she decides to do road trip through the Route 66, one she was planning to do with Hunter before his death, to spread his ashes and to finally let go of the past. As she said: You can’t live in the present if you’re still held captive by the past.
Anderson is the crown prince of Belmont. He also has a sad past, his girlfriend suddenly died in front of him and now he discovered that he has a horrible disease, Multiple Sclerosis, the same one his mother had when she died. Before his life goes crumbling, he decides to have one last adventure, drive through Route 66.
They met in the first day on the road, meeting occasionally several times. Their relation was beautiful, as I read, I could feel their chemistry, but more than that, their emotional connection was off charts. I was rooting for them so much, as they get to know each other throughout the trip, but more, they helped heal and save one another.
However neither of them could possible think about how their lives was interconnect at some point. The twists that the story brought left me on my toes and I was praying to them so they could leave the past, just right there and practice the act of forgiveness.
My only problem with the book was that sometimes the story was too dragging and I just wanted to move on, I guess for me there was a lot of small details. But i loved the ending, it was deserving for them, but also I got to see what happened with the friends.
This book is nothing short of a fun, heartwarming and emotional adventure! Anderson and Nora lock eyes in a Chicago diner right before they are both headed their own ways to let go of ghosts from their past and embrace the futures they have in store for them. While Nora is working to learn how to live her life and deserve happiness without guilt, Anderson is coming to terms with his health and his future obligations. Each of them set forward on their own path, only to be running into each other at every turn..there is something to be said about a familiar stranger. When their journey’s inevitably collide with with another and they set out to finish them together, secrets are revealed, walls are torn down and their hearts are opened to the possibility that their futures started the moment the began on route 66. The chemistry between the two of them flies off the pages and into your heart, as the angsty story worms its way into you. You route for them to entire drive and hope that they can get past the demons and learn to understand the protective reasons for their secrets and what it means for the future. I devoured this book as I have every other one in the series! this one has to be one of my favorites! Such a neat and adventurous read and it makes me want to plan my own trip down route 66!! A great final installment for the 4 girlfriends who danced and gossiped their way into my heart!
Beautiful story but a little too dramatic for my taste
Very beautiful story but which has a heavy side due to the life of the two heroes: an anonymous sick prince, who knows that it will get worse, and a heroine not recovered from the death of a fiancé and divorced from a gay man. Yet they found each other along road 66, until a twist towards the end of the story which calls into question their new relationship.
It’s very well written, romantic, tender, sometimes hot, but the melodramatic emotional charge is quite significant and sometimes slows down the narrative.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Noras story– I couldn’t wait to read! From book 1 that hooked me all the way to here… Now that its finally here!! I couldn’t put it down as typical T.K. Leigh fashion it hit me in the feels!
Absolutely cannot get enough of these books and this author!! This book will take you on a heck of a roadtrip!
This was such a wonderful, amazing, and heartfelt book that had me falling in love with Nora and Anderson’s life journey. I will not give anything away but this is a story of a woman trying to find her way after a divorce and a guy (who happens to be a prince) finding his way after a medical diagnosis. I now want to travel Route 66 just from reading their journey together. I cried, laughed, and fell in love with this story and it is by far my favorite read this year. You will not be disappointed. I do not know how you do it T.K Leigh but you will always be a one-click author for me!

I love TK’s books and could not wait to read this! I loved every minute of the angsty ride Royal Games took me on. Once you start it you won’t be able to put it down, it’s that good.
First off I want to say I love TK Leigh! One of my favorite authors and I always know I’m going to love her books but this book I have a personal connection with. Anderson, the hero of this book, has Multiple Sclerosis. I also have MS so I found I was very connected to this character, his feelings, the reasons he did and said the things he did. In turn I was also very critical in the details in regards to his disease. I found that Ms. Leigh definitely did her research on the disease because everything was very accurate which as a person that has the disease I felt was very important. I’m not trying to make this book all about his MS because while that was an important part of the book for me the story of Nora and Anderson and their journey was one that I was so in love with. These two characters truly went on a journey in more ways than just a road trip and it was such a real one. When I say real I mean it was one that I felt anyone could really connect with these characters and at some point in your life you will have felt something of what one or both of these two whether together or separately. There is no way I can do this book justice with just a few words. Honestly, I’m not sure I could do it justice no matter how many words I wrote. It truly was phenomenal. I wouldn’t change one thing about it. I am always a happy reader when I get to the end and just want more. I want to say thank you to TK for taking MS and really accurately representing the disease itself and how someone that has the disease has so many affects from it physically, emotionally, and psychologically. There are not many authors that can do that. I truly can’t wait to see where Anderson and Nora’s journey takes them next in Tangled Games. And before I finish while yes the next book is a continuation of their journey this book does not leave you with a cliffhanger.
Reading Nora story is an emotional journey. A bittersweet one too. One I had to prepare myself for. Nora sadly has not been so fortunate with love and partners. She sets out to travel the historic Route 66, a plan that she had planned before tragedy struck with Hunter, her then fiancée six years ago. Along the way she runs into a handsome man with a British accent. Again and again. Is it a coincidence or destiny?
My heart leaped for Anderson and boy did it really just pour out for him when you learn more about him and what lead him to the route 66 where Nora went too. Also all the pressures he faces. They’re run in to each other seems to be healing in a sense. These two were meant to find each other the pull is something no force can stop.
The way T.K Leigh writes made me feel like I was in this roadtrip life journey with Nora and Anderson. I felt I was along side with them for those moments of highs and lows.
They had so many issues they needed to face head on. Both having feelings for one another but still having that emotional wall. The slow burn build up of their relationship was like a fire within spreading from the toes, fingertips, mind and into the heart and other regions(insert wink).
The story had me at the bottom to the highest peaks with that feeling of falling at any moment and I will gladly put my heart through more of this.
I’ve been looking forward to this book ever since I read the synopsis. Having read Ms.Leigh’s books before I’ve been meaning to pick up more of her work and I’m glad that I got to do so with Royal Games! I enjoyed this story!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from the author*
Royal Games is a standalone book in the Dating Games series. Anderson and Nora’s story is a roller coaster ride of emotions and is a definite page turner. From the unexpected road trip along Route 66 to the emotional storyline, I was captivated and I had a hard time putting this book down. The writing is fabulous, the characters are lovable and the story is heartwarming.
Some books are meant to come to you at just the right time. You need to hear the message found within the pages. For me, this is the book I needed in my life right now.
“All our lives, we are trained to not live in the present. To either long for the past or to look toward the future. It’s rare we’re allowed to enjoy the moment.”
“We repeat what we don’t repair…”
Both of these quotes, found early in the book, spoke loudly to me. They are what drew me in from the start. Then, you fall in love with Nora and Anderson’s story. So much heartache, love, loss, laughter and adventure (I may have to take the Route 66 road trip). Each of them trying to move on, but needing to rediscover who THEY really are before that can happen.
As with any T.K. Leigh story, the characters draw you in and take hold of your heart. And as with any T.K. Leigh story, the chemistry and steamy scenes with leave your heart rate beating a little faster. I highly recommend this book. Have tissues handy for the tears that will most definitely come.
Royal Games a heartwarming and emotional connection between Nora and Anderson that travel Route 66. Dreams that are crushed and secrets that are revealed. An amazing read by T. K. Leigh without a doubt.
