I enjoyed the give and take of the characters as they dealt with their grief
It was a promising story, however it turned to be boarderline porn. The sex scenes were extremely graphic and I found the heroine letting the hero take naked pictures of her while she touched herself disturbing. This was not a love story. It could have been good. I won’t be reading anything from this author.
A bit far fetched. But I enjoyed it.
Excellent! Loved it!!
Tragic past and new adventures twisted together in a beautiful love story.
I loved the characters and their growth towards caring about each other. How the road trip gave them time to get to know each other and build trust. How the romance developed and caught a nice fire!
I just liked it
It was just a great read.
Great read!
I really enjoyed this story and it appears that there is a sequel!
Nora Tremblay had thought she found the right guy in Jeremy but when it turns out he is actually gay, Nora is struggling with where her life is heading. Her best friends Chloe, Evie and Izzy have a plan for her to take a road trip on the route she was planning on taking with her former fiancé, Hunter, before his death.
When a series of unexpected events and a broken car lead her to meet Anderson North they decide to take the road trip together. Yet is Nora willing to put her heart on the line once again when it is clear that Anderson has secrets he’s keeping from her.
Is love enough when secrets have a way of destroying everything?
This book was so good and I can’t wait for the next one!!!
I absolutely loved Nora and my heart went out to her after everything she lost and I totaslly understood why she was floundering about where her life was headed. She had never gotten over the death of Hunter and that really stayed with her and I think the road trip was almost a way of getting peace and having the ability to move on.
Anderson North Wellington was the Crown Prince of Belmont and was really struggling with events going on in his own life and was trying to figure out what he wanted for his own future. He had a lot on his shoulders and wanted a chance to come to terms with events in his past and things that were in the future on his own.
There was so much chemistry between Anderson and Nora but also a lot at stake due to their differences and also because of what was being kept. At 36% I guessed one of the things that was later revealed and I understood how big everything was. Yet it was only when Creed revealed something that my jaw dropped with even more understanding of how everything fit together.
I loved the journey that Anderson and North took and how much the journey was therapeutic for both of them and how simple it truly was. I love this idea so much and cherish road trips in my own life.
I was mad at Anderson for keeping one huge secret for so long yet I knew why he was reluctant to tell Nora because of how she would react. Well, everything backfired on Anderson and I really got why.
I felt bad for Anderson when he got home but I was happy that his father finally told him the truth about his mom.
The end made me super happy and I was glad that they were able to work through everything but I am definitely freaking about what’s to come!!
I liked the book. It had some unexpected parts but did have a happy ending.
It showed that we are all different and need to be accepted for who we are.
Loved reading it!
An interesting story with intriguing characters and unusual circumstances bringing the characters together without them realizing their lives were entwined from the start leaving the reader stunned by the revelation finally brought forth. Sadness, tragedy and eventually finding love and peace for a past tragedy brings them full circle.
I absolutely loved this! What a beautiful, emotional story of love, heartbreak, and redemption. The road trip aspect was really fun and made the perfect backdrop for a story about the journey of letting go, finding absolution, and learning to forgive. I absolutely adored both of the main characters and thought they had fantastic chemistry together. I particularly appreciated that none of the drama and angst felt forced or like it was put there just to move the plot forward. Everything about this story felt real and raw, from the secrets of their pasts to the way they feel about each other. This story was beautifully written with a perfect ending that left my heart happy and eager to read more by T.K. Leigh!
Good, somewhat more complex characters than in a typical romance, which was really enjoyable. The female friendship group’s chemistry worked especially well. Couple this with it being well written, and you have yourself a good romance.
Wow! His family scrambles his brain with how they handle his mother’s death apparently from MS. Now he has it. And his fiance died. Her brain is scrambled by her mothers horrifically bad mind games and the death of her fiance and unborn child.
The meet at the beginning of their trip along Route 66 across the country westbound. They share his car. It is a learning and discovery trip …. A really interesting study in mind games. what we talk ourselves into and out of.
I really liked the issues and the progression. Not sure I could have gotten to where she got. Kudos to her.
Yet another royal hiding from his royal burdens — but the story is so much more. Real people, hurt by what they have experienced on a Route 66 road trip finding their way back to themselves — except that even going cross-country they don’t quite get there — but the book keeps going to the inevitable ending. Enjoy the journey!
What a wonderful book, thank you.
I have to confess ,It has been a while since I have read a TK Leigh book and this story reminds me of why I love her writing so much. This story is complicated but proves that everything happens for a reason at the time it is supposed to happen. Nora and Anderson’s souls recognized one another. Their journey to know each other was the stuff us romance readers live for. Masked or unmasked, I loved both versions of them. I am excited for the next part of their story.
“I take a moment to admire our joined hands. Mine is rough and large. Hers is soft and dainty. Two worlds. Two polar opposites. But two people who have somehow found each other.” ~ Anderson
