Lady Georgiana must outwit two clever hunters who are after the Prince of Wales in the third novel in the New York Times bestselling Royal Spyness Mystery series.Scotland, 1932. Back home until a little London scandal blows over, minor royal Lady Georgiana Rannoch has two equally important objectives. Queen Mary wants Georgie to keep the divorced, American, and entirely unsuitable Wallis Simpson … entirely unsuitable Wallis Simpson from seducing the Prince of Wales, while Scotland Yard wants her to stop one of the members of the shooting party at Balmoral from turning their sights from the quails to His Royal Highness…

I love this series. Each one is great fun and a diversion from the difficulties of life.
The Royal Spyness series is such a fun series to read and this book is no exception.
Light, frothy fun! Someone is trying to kill off the royals and our heroine has to stop her or him because, according to Scotland Yard, it has to be one of the upper crust. Enter our intrepid heroine, 34th in line to the throne and penniless enough to be coerced into taking on cases for the crown that no ordinary gumshoe could do.
This series nails the time period and the social divisions between the classes and within the classes. Georgie is a delightful heroine and her social set make up much of the humor. Looking forward to the next one.
I had already read this delightful series when I hoped it was one that I missed. You can’t go wrong reading a book by Rhys Bowen. She always puts enough sociology and history to keep you learning as your relax into her mystery tales.. delightful
Whew! What a grand climax. The best of the series, so far. A fun book for a lazy winter day.
This is the third book in the Her Royal Spyness series and, as with all the books in the series, is a lot of fun.
Super fun and set in Scotland this time! I loved how she had some outlandish things happen that were based in history. Love these books!
‘With its posh clientele in the country for the summer, Georgie’s housecleaning business has fizzled. So she tries hiring herself out as a dinner-and-theatre companion. But her first client has quite the wrong idea. To avoid further scandal, Georgie’s shipped home to Castle Rannoch, where her summer plans include honoring a promise to Her Majesty to keep Castle Rannoch’s divorcée houseguest from seducing the Prince of Wales. She’s also been coerced into helping Scotland Yard with a top-secret mission – namely keeping an eye on the shooting party at Balmoral and preventing someone from shooting the Prince. And Georgie must manage all this without strangling her odious sister-in-law Fig or spineless brother Binky.’

Royal Flush is the third book in Rhys Bowen’s Royal Spyness series, which follows clumsy and endearing Lady Georgiana Rannoch , thirty-fourth in line to the English throne, as she she stumbles through trying to make it on her own and solve some mysteries along the way.
After a very embarassing faux pas in London, we’re back to Scotland and Georgie’s family home for this book. It was so shocking to see Fig being nice for a change, she was almost like a totally new character. But with a big and unwanted house party eathing them out of house and home, I suppose being nice to Georgie was her only way forward. We get to see a michevious side to Georgie as she sets out to make a stay a Rannoch as terrible as possible in order to drive the guests out. That made me love her character more. Plus with Fig panicking and begging for her help, she really takes charge in this book and I think it’s the most confident we’ve ever seen her.
I wasn’t crazy about the previous book in the series, but this one has more than made up for that. I think Royal Flush has been my favorite in the series thus far. There was a healthy dose of both ridiculousness and danger, I adored it.
Great series. Set in the 1930s England.
What a fun cozy mystery series! Each book is more fun that the last, a bit of a fluffy read— just what I needed. There is humor, romance, and still Bowen shines a light on the social issues of the day.
I love all the books featuring Lady Georgina and her family. Each one is just ‘charming’
Love everything Ms. Bowen writes. So enjoyable!
Wonder series, but needs to be read in order.
I have enjoyed every book I’ve read so far in this series!
Murder Mystery!
great period piece

This is a great series. The main character is an original. Having read all the books in this series, I recommend them all. I’m a fan of this author and her books are all original and entertaining.
A very funny series!
