KEEGAN:Sightseeing, gay bars…and if I’m lucky, maybe a couple of random hookups. That’s the extent of my plans when I sign up for a European vacay with my buddies. I’ve never heard of this Parlaisa country–but hey–a cheap flight and two-star hotel are perfect for a poor college kid, right? And the trip turns out to be even better than I could have possibly imagined when I end up in a bar with … end up in a bar with some sexy masked guy’s tongue down my throat.
And damn…what a tongue.
Even with his face partially obscured, Sexy Masked Guy can’t hide those hypnotic steel blue eyes, his chiseled jawline, or the gun show he’s working with under that tight T-shirt. But after our kiss, he proves to be nothing more than a cocky, dismissive a-hole. As if that isn’t bad enough, flash forward–after one hell of a misunderstanding, I’m arrested by the Parlaisan royal guard and taken to a dungeon, where I learn that Sexy Masked Guy is actually Sexy Prince.
Prince Owen Hawthorne III.
Yes, I was kissing the Prince of Parlaisa!
Even worse, pics of us kissing are posted on the notorious Prince Watch blog. Prince Owen III has been unmasked by the paps, and we’ve both been outed. And here I had been planning to finally tell my family about my inclinations towards rainbows, glitter, and c*ck as soon as I got back home to Fever Falls.
Seems like my vacation can’t get any wackier, but now Prince Owen needs a favor–a fake relationship favor. All I have to do is pretend to be his boyfriend for a good cause and some cash that I could really use right about now. But do I really want to team up with a guy who’s been nothing but a prick to me in the short time that I’ve known him?
Of course, before I know it, I’m in too deep. Fortunately, Owen’s strict ‘no messing around’ rule will keep this from getting out of control.
Even though I can’t stop thinking about how he knew exactly what he was doing with his tongue.
Even though he loves watching me prance around in my underwear.
Even though he can’t get enough of me on my knees, doing what I do best.
Dammit–did we already screw this up?
Talk about a #RoyalProblem.
#ROYAL is part of the Fever Falls series but can be read and enjoyed as a standalone.

Wow I love Fever Falls. Keeg and O are perfect together and it was wonderful catching up with the Saturgays but also meeting new characters and places with Prince Owens home. This has heat, snark and love and is a brilliant read.
What’s better than a real life fairytale? That’s what Keegan will figure out while falling in love with his very own prince! #Royal is such a fun, sexy read that is also full of heart.
I loved the dynamics between Keeg and Owen. Even though there are so many differences between these two, they have much more in common than you would think. Each has suffered personal pain in the past and struggled in life.
I just fell in love with Keegan. He may be young but has a strong sense of self and his own strength and worth. Owen is captivated by the energy, joy and support he finds with Keeg. Watching these two grow from having fun to being fully in love was wonderful!
It’s all fun…until feelings are developed
It all started out as a fun alliance, for a great cause, until feelings are developed! Keegan, young and carefree up to a certain point, not having come out to his family yet. Enjoying a short vacation with friends in a foreign country.
Owen, having screwed up a lot in the past, maybe his way of coping with loss and a lot of uncertainties in his life, after all, it’s not all about money, prestige and status, right?
They are having so much fun, but along the way, they started FEELING! They don’t shy away from it, taking it in stride and learning as much about each other, well, as much as they could. But there are responsibilities to fulfill, other aspects of their life that they need to be serious about, a way of life that has been ingrained since childhood, can they handle it? Can theyhandle the changes it is going to entail?
Devon McCormack has once again created two characters who are unique and so endearing, this series gets better and better, I cannot wait for the next book in this series!
I love this series so much! What a wonderful place Fever Falls is, I’m so bummed it’s fictional. The sense of family and friendship that permeate these stories is so incredibly heartwarming and inspiring.
Keegan and OWen are opposites in age and life experience and come from completely different worlds. An unlikely match if ever there was one, but they are somehow also completely right for each other, truly seeing the other for who they really are. Their connection is hot and unexpectedly sweet & endearing all at once. Love them so much! Keegan is one of my absolute favorite characters in the entire series
I was a bit hesitant about this story at first, because I don’t typically like stories about made-up countries or royals. I needn’t have worried, of course. It was as absolutely amazing, deeply moving, funny and hot as all the other stories in this series.
This has been a brilliant read with wonderful, complex main characters and equally intriguing and lovable secondary characters. Nance and Serena stood out, as did Frederick. I can’t help but feel so curious about the stories that might come next! There are so many secondary characters that just have to find love too! #Royal teasingly offers us some delightful hints of what’s to come… and I need more!
I wanted to like this book, I really did. But so much of it fell flat or felt like too much of a cliche. I thought Keegan was really cute and sweet in #Burn and Whiskey Throttle and then was disappointed with his character development and his story in the end.
This is a fake boyfriend, bi-for-you, royalty romance and it felt like one of the worst representations of all of those tropes I’ve read before. Everything about it just felt manufactured, even the chemistry between Keegan and Owen at some points.
Keegan and Owen meet in a bar in Parlaisa, where Owen’s the crown prince, paparazzi catch them kissing (Owen’s first with a man) and they start a fake relationship with some weird rules. Their age gap was strange (Owen is 32 and Keegan is 19) as they’re in such different places in their lives…it just made things feel awkward. Keegan was so much more mature in so many ways, but also still acted like a teenager in so many others…and Owen didn’t seem to act his age at all other than to remind Keegan that he’d had other experiences and responsibilities.
Throughout the whole book, I felt like the conversations and interactions between the two of them and even their friends/family felt really formal and stilted, not at all like people who were comfortable around each other. All of the other stories felt so much more natural, making this one feel even more out of place in this series.
To be honest, I kept going because I wanted to see what was happening with all the other guys in Fever Falls, not because I particularly liked Owen and Keegan together. The one redeeming thing about their relationship? Their mutual love for Keegan’s lace panties.
Still really enjoy the Fever Falls guys and I’m looking forward to Sawyer and Carter next!
Prince Owen and Keegan get five beautiful stars for this royal romance! I love the Fever Falls crew and the gorgeous love stories that come out of this fictional town. Owen and Keegan’s love story was sweet and steamy and a happily ever after worth fighting for.
4.25 stars

A cute Royal romance!
I really enjoyed this Royal adventure. From Fake boyfriends to more I loved the progress and salacious details! I found Keegan endearing, innocent but more mature than his age. He had more in common with the Prince than he expected and I liked their innocent misunderstandings and progression to more! Their connection sends sparks flying and even though they had a 13 year age gap it rarely felt like it was there.
While I don’t feel any of the Royal elements are particularly real or even close to reality, it was a wonderful escape into a royal fantasy where there’s a prince to sweep you off your feet.
I found Keegan endearing and loved how he got Owen to open up and how they were always equal even with their unique social standings. Owen was able to embrace a side of himself he kept trying to ignore and I loved the history of the Queen of Parliasia. All in all, I found this a very enjoyable bit of escapism and really want to learn more about Fever Falls and it’s other colorful characters!!
As always Michael is an exceptional narrator and I loved his English accent!!

#Royal by Devon McCormack is the fourth book in the Fever Falls series but can be read as a stand alone. Ithis is a fun contemporary m/m romance that has a total fake relationship turns real feel. The story made me laugh and smile with his humor and sweetness… but it deals a good amount of steam as well. Keegan and Owen are fantastic characters and I loved seeing their relationship develop and strengthen. Really enjoyed this one.
I received an advanced reader’s copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
When Keegan meets a sexy Robin in Parlasia, he is surprised to find out his is the Prince. Owen has never been attracted to guys before, but something about Keegan is irresistible.
A great fake boyfriend romance. Set partially in Fever Falls, you get to touch base with your favorite couples in the series. Just a great, swoony romance. Plenty of feels and storyline with great characters. I can’t get enough of Fever Falls!
