A gruff prince in need of a wifeA commoner impersonating a princessAnd a bridal competition gone terribly awry… “win” this barbaric game set up by my crafty mother? By figuring out how to save the kingdom’s faltering economy through a series of challenges. This undignified circus is beneath a man of my stature! Proof being that a saucy, ill-mannered woman wearing body-hugging clothes is in the lead. I could never love someone like that, let alone marry her.
Anna
The plan sounded simple.
I pose as my friend, pick up her inheritance, and return with the cash to keep her out of jail. (Apparently, being a princess in hiding is no excuse for identity theft.) So, yeah, I’m not exactly royal. I’m an orphan, a self-made woman, and proud of it. Suddenly I’m in a battle royale with a bunch of crazy competitive women for “riches beyond our dreams.” I’m in a time crunch, which means I need to win this competition fast. Only, that means winning over the judge; the smoldering hot grim-faced Gabriel. And now I find myself wanting to compete for more than just the money. But could a royal prince ever fall for a commoner like me?

Polly-Anna hooked me from the first page with her outrageous personality and quirks. This story is laugh out loud funny and so romantic!
Very funny and romantic!
Fun, lighthearted read.
I always love reading a royal romance and this book was great!
Good read. Happily ever after with catching a prince.
I would recommend only if you have nothing else to read.
Was a very good read.
This was a light, entertaining read. It had me laughing out loud and riveted to find out what was going to happen next. I enjoyed it so much I’ll be looking for other books in the series to read.
This book is fun and enjoyable
A fun, light fairly take story.
Another great romantic love story.
I liked the premise and characters. Totally different from any story line I had ever read and I liked that. Humorous and fun. I had to skip over the sexually explicit parts. I used to enjoy those but my conscience bothers me when I read these. I usually don’t buy books anymore if I know before had they are this way but the story intrigued me.
I laughed out loud. Fun and romantic.
Light and humorous.
Predictable but a cute love story
I didn’t like either character very much, so I didn’t really get into the story. They were both cliche and cardboard thin. Polly/Anna (really?) is an orphan/foster kid, so being so trustful of some far-distant relative in jail for identity theft, essentially doing the same thing herself, seemed really antithetical to that kind of history. I get that it’s ‘family’, but ‘you’re still common’. Blech.
So much fun to have stories about made up small countries and their royalty. This one was quite steamy in parts. Looking forward to read about the crown princes’ brother in next one.
Funny
Gabriel is first in line to the throne and as of a couple of years ago he has stayed away from the press unlike one of his younger brothers. Anna finds out she is a distant cousin of a royal family. What happens next is too cute for words, but love can win out.
Not really my usual trope but this was so good. I really enjoyed it and had finished it in a day
Royal Catch by Kylie Gilmore is the first book in her new series, The Rourkes. Told in dual POV between the haughty prince and the imposter princess – this story is a tad over the top, the plot is a little crazy, the characters are a bit much and it all works perfectly together to create this funny romantic royal romp. Throw in some serious sexual tension and familial issues, a catty competition between princesses, and a few more fantastical situations and this book pulled me in. It was funny and sexy and a pleasure to read – I will definitely be revisiting The Rourkes for more of their stories. Enjoy!
