This book broke my heart.
Kon has been living a double life. He knows what awaits for him back home but in the meantime, he is enjoying himself and living n the moment. That all changes when he meets Grace. He knows she is his mate but he is duty-bound.
Grace has been alone most of her life. She is on the search for her brother when she finds not only great people and a great town but also Kon. I love that we got to watch Grace go from the person who is alone to being happy and welcomed by these amazing people.
Royal Bear is the fifth book in the P.O.L.A.R. Series, but could be read as a stand alone. Grace is always moving from one location to another, but when she doesn’t hear from her brother in over a month, she gets worried and tries to go find him. Hiring Konstantin is easy, but fighting the attraction between them is much harder. When his responsibilities show their ugly head, is Grace destined to be alone?
This is my favorite book of the series so far and I absolutely loved Grace and Konstantin! There’s drama, there’s danger, there’s mystery, and there’s a whole lot of passion within the pages of this book, and I loved every second I spent reading! Grace was a really cool character for me because she was a wonderer, until she caught a glimpse of how life could be if she put down roots. I loved that it was mentioned how well she fit, not just with Konstantin, but with the whole group and in the area! Konstantin had a lot of responsibilities he had to face, but when he found his true mate, how could he say goodbye to her? I loved seeing the dichotomy between Grace and his intended, the struggle between what he wants and what he should do, and I loved the support between all of the P.O.L.A.R. members! This was a really great read, my favorite of the series, and I look forward to what may come next from Ms. Ayers!
The final member of the P.O.L.A.R.group to find their mate….this was fast paced, had a strong female main character and a royal bear!
Konstantin and Grace…one destined to be a king and the other leading a rather nomadic life. How can they possible make this work? What obstacles await them?
So much fun!
This was an enjoyable read. I found the storyline entertaining and it held my attention well. I liked Kon and Grace. These fated mates had great chemistry. The book contains a fun blend of romance, action, excitement, drama and emotions. A good book and a solid addition to this series.
Continues the crazy mate finding journey
Grace, a nomadic graphic designer, need help finding her brother. She goes to P.O.L.A.R. and meets Konstantin, a polar bear shifter with a huge secret, who decides that they will help her right then and there. As the story progresses the mystery gets a little deeper, secrets come out, and making a choice will end up hurting someone. Candace Ayers’ Royal Bear continues the crazy mate finding journey in the P.O.L.A.R. series with the last single member finding his mate, having his secret exposed, and some more antics that lead to the question of a happy ever after. I would still love to read Serge and Hannah’s story and wouldn’t mind if she did stories on Mr. Zoo and Gray getting their HEA.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Book five in the series brings Kon and Grace’s story. The author once again brings strong characters and an interesting and entertaining story. I had a few chuckles with some of the dialogue along the way. The scenes are described perfectly , helping to bring the story to life along with the cast of supporting characters. It’s another well written book, moves quickly and smoothly and I enjoyed reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
