The story is a beautiful, exciting, erotic love story with plenty of surprises and twists and turns. Thank you, Sue Mercury.
This is a sweet and steamy story about a human female who signed up for the alien mail order bride program in order to save her family from debtor’s prison and worse. She has some concerns and fears because of the many humans killed by the Martians before they took control of Earth. Once she arrives on Mars, she finds out her mate to be is the prince. As she gets to know Prince Vaath, she finds love and learns he values her opinions on how to work with Earth rather than control Earth like his father. Lovely read!
loved this book
A sweeter alien love story, introducing a new universe filled with intrigue and politics. The alphas are alphas and the girls plucky and self sacrificing, could have done with a bit more character development though.
Sue Mercury has done it again. She has written yet another series that makes me smile the entire time I read it. Whether the smile is from happiness, pride, blushing, or triumph.
Im all smiles.
I am beyond excited to see what the rest of this series has in store for me.
I would highly recommend.
Happy reading!

Fast paced entry to a new series. Esmay signs up to be a mail order bride to save her family. She is matched to Vaath who happens to be the prince and heir to the throne. There is excitement, true love, relief that they are a true match and an evil group trying to stop Martians from marrying humans. They’ll have to find a way to work together to save themselves, their people and their planet. Likable characters and genuine attraction make this an easy read. It is a standalone. I did find there were a couple of things that didn’t end up fitting into the story. I wonder if they’ll show up later in the series? If not there is a bit of rambling going on but nothing too distracting from the main story. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
I liked that Esmay decided to be a Martian bride to help her family. I liked that Vaath and Esmay were great from the beginning and loved reading about their relationship and they had great chemistry. I loved that Vaath listened to Esmay and wanted to help take care of her family. I am glad they were able to find out who the culprit was and Vaath took care of it. This was a great read and I really loved it.

Yes. The drakks are coming! Esmay is a human female. She kind of has like a sick sense of what people are feeling and feels peoples goodness or evil. She knew something was wrong with her parents whispering in the middle of the night. taxes and jail . The threat of being a present. So she takes it upon herself to leave her family to sign up as a mail order bride for the Martians. Excuse me, Marttiaxoxalians. They are in alien species of various color with different to dial growth horns on her head. It just so happened that her mail order husband is the Prince Vaath, warrior. And of course it seems like the history of how war began between this new alien species that are compatible with as humans was wrong. The problem is there is always some type of threat focused on Esmay. I don’t get me wrong the prince is also in with the mishaps and I do exaggerate on the light word of mishaps that puts Esmay in danger. Along with those who have a mail order bride. There is a villain among us. The drafts or a group who are against the mAting and procreations that will taint the blood of the Marttiaxoxalians. Prince Vaath Will stop at nothing to keep his mate safe. No cliffhanger. Just a new soldier will needs a mater… hopefully

In order to pay off her parents debts and prevent their going to prison, Esmay signs up to be an alien mail order bride on Mars. By accepting one of the savage alien as her mate, her family’s debt will be wiped out. All she hopes for now is that her alien mate will be kind.
Esmay is alarmed to find that she has been matched with Prince Vaath, a powerful warrior who battled against Earth. And yet, he acts so differently with her, protective and desiring her constantly. He is aware she fears him, but all he wants is to win her love. Can he show her that she never has to fear him? That his own heart already belongs to her?
I enjoyed this book, even though this theme is very repetitive lately. Prince Vaath’s followers have lost most of their females, and whether they want to or not, they need to claim human females as their mates. But danger is coming, and they will have to keep their females safe. Grab your copy of this start to a new series.
This is such a fabulous story. Esmay gives herself up to save her family but she is so afraid of the aliens. Vaath her mate, turns out to be the Prince. This story is set in such a great world. I loved all the details that make it seem real. This author really knows how to write a great sci-fi tale.
An enjoyable paranormal romance read that had great flow and was easy to read. Prince Vaath and Esmay was a likable couple and chemistry was there with just the right amount of drama and danger to heat it up. I love the sweet side of Prince Vaath, his love for his people made him a strong character. My first read by the author and it did not disappoint. Can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I liked this sci-fi romance. Esmay and Vaath made an appealing couple. There is plenty of emotional turmoil, tension, steam and angst as their relationship begins and evolves. Overall I felt that the story was interesting, had good flow and offered solid world building. Along with the romance you get a blend of drama, suspense, danger and action. All-in-all a fun read that left me looking forward to reading more of this series.
Sue has nailed it again. I just love her books, she does an absolutely wonderful job with story lines and her characters are lovely . I loved this Princes character, he definately wasnt like his father whats so ever. He has morals and code like his Grandfather.
Esmay overheard her parents talking one late night, and decided that she was going to sign up to be a Martians Bride. So stealing away that night she leaves a note, and signs up. A few hours later she is on the ship destined to Mars to meet her husband to be. One look at the man and Esmay finds herself attracted to him… His name…. Vaath. With this blue alien she speaks her mind, then she discovers who he truely is. But all is not good on Mars they have humans rebelling against them, trying to kill them, but theres a twist…..
im not going to spoil to much more but this is a realy good book and its a must read…..so looking forward to the next one..
Sue Mercury writes some lovely little sexy scifi stories. And this one definitely fits.
I like the whole backstory of the Martians, and it’s just a fun, different little touch. I think that Vaath is definitely a good male, who has the best interests of his people at heart. I think that he might have been more involved in everything before Esmay gets there, but that’s just my opinion.
I think that Esmay is really brave and very smart. I think that she’s just what the Martians need to have, and she’s going to do so many good things about everyone.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Earth is taken over from Martians. Esmay is the oldest of the her family so when she finds out that her family is in trouble she takes on herself to get them out of it. Esmay found this flyer about A Mail Order Bride to the Martians so she goes to the Martian Affairs build to see if she can be a Bride. They leaved Earth to go to Mars to meet their Mates. Now would be the time to get the book. I will be getting more from this author.
