Second chances aren’t easy. Sometimes, it takes some Rough Love.Bruce Tannen is known as Brutal from his days as a monster on the football field. But now, he’s a farmhand on what used to be his family’s land, and change is all around him. New family. New expectations. New friends. It’s all fine by him until he runs into the one woman to ever hold his heart. Allyson left him a lifetime ago, but …
Allyson left him a lifetime ago, but she’s the only thing that’s ever felt right.
In his arms, in his heart, and in his life.
Something’s different, though. She’s a shadow of her former self, and he wonders what could’ve dulled her shine.
He can help fight her demons and bring back her sunny smile, but should he?
Allyson Meyers had her life all figured out, but a wrong turn took her on a journey she never imagined.
Not even in her worst nightmares.
But she’s stronger now for the one person who matters… her son, Cooper.
Being a single mother is a burden she’s grateful to bear alone until she sees a pair of all-too-familiar broad shoulders and dark, knowing eyes that remind her of who she once was.
Bruce was the one she’d left behind. The path she should’ve taken.
It’s too bad you can’t rewrite history. But if she’s brave enough, can they create a new future?
Can Bruce open his heart to the one that shattered it in the first place? And can Allyson blend who she is now with who she used to be, and live the happily ever after she should’ve had?
Rough Love is a full-length Romance with an HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger. It can be read as a standalone.

I don’t even know where to start… I am truly at a loss of words!
These characters, Allyson and Bruce, are just everything… strong and endearing personalities, despite the scars that life has inflicted on them.
Their second-chance romance is a roller coaster ride… two steps forward, one step back.
They have to fight their way back to each other and their journey made me laugh out loud at times and tear up at other times… and everything in between.
Ms. Landish has a way with words that gets me time and again. She creates characters that are utterly relatable and genuine, and plots that are twisted enough to maintain the tension throughout the story, with quite some bumps to overcome along the way. She is a skillful master of subtle words with a clear and honest message to anyone who wants to read between the lines..
This is the perfect start to her new series and it is awesome to get back in touch with familiar characters from the related Bennett Boys Ranch series, though you do not have to read that series first.
You’ll love this book if you love:
second chance romance
small town romance
friends-to-lovers
country romance
slow burn
men that growl
Guess what you came to the right spot
ღ . Amazing new series from Lauren Landish, , actually it’s spin off (Bennett Boys Ranch series) Good news it’s standalone book
Now if you read the (Bennett Boys Ranch series) you were prepared to hate the Tannen Boys for life, see this was an old fashion family feud that has been going on for years! Well until Shayanne broke that life time hatred…
The 1st book in this new series is with Bruce Tannen
Once upon time he played high school football & he once loved amazing vibrant out spoken girl name Allyson Meyers
But then something happens between them, she shattered his heart into thousand pieces
Now it’s 10 years later & so much has change between these two, but yet at the same time nothing has changed, they both still have strong feeling for each other.. We see if they can get past their hurt & pain
Anytime you find good second chance romance you hold on tight to it, it mostly going also tear your heart out
I believe this read got one of those slow sweet burns, you can’t really rush
I definitely can’t wait for the next brother book ( Brody or Bobby) which they would be ,Too big, too gruff, too quiet. OH, we can’t forget how these men growl
Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion+ Also I wouldn’t never discourage anyone from reading this book.
Happy Reading — Enjoy ……. Paulette Review
Because of their father’s gambling debts, the Tannen’s lost the family farm to their rivals, well not really rivals anymore, the Bennett’s. Now the Tannen brothers Brody, Bruce and Bobby work for the Bennett family. One big, happy family…well they try to get along, especially since their baby sister Shayanne is married to Luke Bennett.
Bruce Tannen, star football player in high school nicknamed Brutal, is the strong, silent type. Always watching, always listening. Bruce had big plans for college ball and beyond, but life got in the way and changed his future, much the way it had for Allyson. When Bruce was younger his focus was on two specific areas, football and Allyson. He lost both. Now his main focus is on family and the farm.
With Bruce’s extensive knowledge of the game, he is approached to help coach peewee football. He’s all in but he never expected to come face to face with his past-the one woman he loved and lost, Allyson. Allyson is just as surprised to see Bruce coaching her son’s peewee football team. The past wasn’t kind, the way they ended, the broken hearts. When Allyson left for college, life hadn’t gone as planned. She’s fought hard for the woman she is today. Allyson and Bruce had their life planned. They were supposed to get their HEA. Could this be their second chance, or is the risk just too big to take?
YOUNG LOVE THAT WAS LOST BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN ! SIZZLING, EXPLOSIVE CHEMISTRY WITH CHARACTERS SO REAL, I WAS HOOKED FROM THE FIRST PAGE !
WILD, ROUGH AND RAW ! LAUREN SCORED A TOUCHDOWN WITH THIS READ ! ! ! I CAN’T WAIT FOR MORE !
Bruce and Allyson were together in high school, planning their life together until something happened and they broke up. Now years later, they meet again. Their story was not easy and they both carried so much pain. Is it possible to get past that and start again? I enjoyed their story of their past and their developing future. Their chemistry was off the charts, and the emotional journey had me cheering them on. Add in a cute boy named Cooper and lots of family and friends to add more to the story and you have a story I really enjoyed.
Bruce and Allyson had their hearts broken by youth, lies, and misunderstanding. Now they are all grown up and can get a second chance if they can get over each of their pasts, both together and separate. This is a good story—second chances, finding balance as a single parent, and moving on after a bad situation.
Move over Bennett Brothers the Tannen brothers are coming, This is Bruce (AKA Brutal) and Allison story, They were once high school sweethearts on till one went of to college, There story is heartache, so much angry that makes up for some steamy chemistry. Want to no more well you just have to ONE-CLICK ON 28th, I voluntarily to review an advance reader copy. Loved Lauren
Bruce is a perfect mix of a grump alpha man sexy! I fell head over booty for Bruce, Allyson, and too smart for his own good Cooper!
“This is more than we had when we were young, more than I dreamed I’d ever have now, with Allyson or anyone. Even when we’re rough and filthy, it’s with love.”
The sexual tension is off the charts, a second chance love story, a frustrating heart squeezer along with the cohesive yet missing pieces to be whole puzzle dynamic. *Phew* I need to sit down!
Having Mamma Bennet sticking her nose into the Tannen’s lives is a major happy place for me! I like seeing the differences and similarities.
I was soo curious as to what as the twists kept pulling me in further- I didn’t know who was going to break first!
High heat, High emotion, humorous and sweet well-rounded treat. Gah. Another book from Ms. Landish that has left me wanting more!
Another five star read from Lauren Landish!
This one is my favorite of them all!
What a beautiful sweet story! Bruce “Brutal” Tannen is a humongous softie with a dirty mouth! Can I get a hallelujah!
I enjoyed everything about this story. It’s a second chance with such a beautiful emotional story that you won’t want to put it down. Bruce’s love for Allyson comes through the pages and will fill your heart.
Seeing the “NEW” family dynamics is entertaining and I love their new normal!
We get every thing we love in a romance. And so much MORE!
Highly recommended.
*I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author/publisher in exchange for my honest and voluntary review.*
4*
Bruce & Allyson had big plans he was going into professional football she was going to be a lawyer but things didn’t go to plan.
She’s back & he’s helping coach her son the sparks fly.
I loved how Bruce came out of his himself to prove himself knowing who and what he wanted. Allyson has responsibilities now but she’s slowly learning that she lost her true self.
I loved the Bennett boys series and can honestly say the Tannen’s are proving to be just as good.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
Great start to the series.
