This ain’t no love triangle. This is people not knowing when to let fate do its thing.Brody Tannen has been the boss for way too long, putting everyone’s needs above his own. It’s the way his family farm stood while fate took shot after shot against them. But now he’s got a chance to figure things out for himself. Everyone keeps pushing him one way, but deep down he knows which way he should go. … knows which way he should go.
Towards her… Erica Cole, the rough and rowdy woman that’s always been one of the guys.
Except to him.
Brody loves her inappropriate humor and smudges of grease on her cheeks.
He wants nothing more than to be the one who cracks her exterior shell to find the sweetness he’s sure is inside.
Erica Cole has been in a man’s world her entire life.
First in the military, and now, taking over her dad’s mechanic shop.
She’s not the sugar and spice girly type that guy’s normally go for.
She’s grease and engines, snark and bite, responsibilities and expectations.
So when Brody Tannen sets his sights on her, Erica doesn’t know how to handle it.
Not when everyone else thinks she’s destined for a man that does nothing for her.
Erica can’t say the same for the broody, cocky cowboy that saunters into the shop though.
Brody’s tall, dark, and won’t give up, which is a problem because Erica desperately wants to know what’s lurking beneath his hungry gaze.
Even if she should stay far away from the heat he promises.
They both know what they want, but can they stand strong against those who think they know better to get the happily ever after they deserve?

Giddyup! Lauren Landish is back with a brand new, original, and bound-to-give-you-butterflies Tannen Boys romance. Brody Tannen and Erica Cole are electric, totally not in love (until they are), and fighting their better instincts with a whole mess of nosy folks in the way.
He’s determined as hell.
She’s always just been “one of the guys.”
Rules between friends aren’t there to be broken.
But in the world of these headstrong, alpha-licious ranchers and snarky heroines, the feels just smolder off the page. When romance hits, it’s beautifully unexpected. Read it for FREE with Kindle Unlimited!
To follow their dreams Brody and Erica have to break a few hearts, but their sense of pride may just cost them their own. Rough Edge is more than a steamy romance. Hidden beneath the tempting romance and heartbreaking regrets are life lessons. Landish floods a heart with overpowering emotion while celebrating the human spirit. Erica and Brody are dreamers. Though life has knocked them down, it hasn’t stop them from finding the strength to keep pushing forward. Against the backdrop of disappointment is an inspirational tale of hope and family interwoven with the healing power of love. Rough Edge makes quite the impression.
Rough Edge by Lauren Landish is book Two in the Tannen Boys Series. This is the story of Erica ‘Rix’ Cole and Brody Tannen. I have read the previous book which did add to my enjoyment of this one but I did feel you could make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Brody is the oldest of his siblings so responsibilities is all he knows along with working hard. Never one to take time for himself nor thinking of anything more than work. So when his truck breaks down he ends up at Cole Automotive where he finds Erica working at. Erica is a grease monkey who has fallen into one of the guys category. But with Brody he see so much more in her little grease monkey package. They may start off causal but there feelings turn into anything but. Another great story by Ms. Landish.
This series is really great. I love all the characters, and the conflict is never anything too serious that would detract from the sweetness. If you like cowboy romances, you’ll love the Tannen Boys series.
Brody is really not having a good day when his truck breaks down but everything changes when he meets Erica. Erica is the mechanic that he takes his truck to and she spars with him. Erica brings back something Brody was missing and even though she says she’s not interested he isn’t going to give up. Erica always feels like she is second fiddle to her sister and that no one really sees her because of it. So when Brody shows her attention its something new for her and she doesn’t know exactly how to handle it. Will Brody be able to convince her to give him a chance?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
Rough Edge
Tannen Boys, Book 2
By: Lauren Landish
Narrated by: Carly Robins, Lance Greenfield
Take me to stay with the Bennett’s and Tannens! This family is one I just love to visit! Book two in the the Tannen Boys gives us Brody’s story, and it’s so easy to love. Brody is the oldest of the Tannens, unpolished, gruff and what you see is what you get. Erica is a spitfire, small yet fierce, knows what she likes, loves her engines and hard rock. Together, these two opposites are a perfect match! Or are they? This journey is so much fun! I was laughing at the banter, loved Erica’s sister Emily, and the interactions between Erica and the Bennetts is priceless. Meatloaf! YUM! Add in some suspense and danger, and it’s got a little of everything! It’s family, it’s dreams, it’s hard work, it’s compromise and it’s love. Bring on the next brother!
The narration of this enhanced the story tenfold! Lance Greenfield becomes a twangy, alpha cowboy. With his gruff sound and protective qualities, he makes Brody that broody cowboy! Carly Robins adds her feistiness to the mix as Erica, full of spit and vinegar creating her own alpha heroine! I love this team and they truly brought the story to life.

Lauren Landish have me in my feelings right now with this spectacular book. Brody is a man of few words and he is alpha. What is better than a brooding alpha male, an alpha female which is Erica in spades. Erica Cole is a mechanic and the owner of Cole’s Automotive, the business her father built, and she also races cars… and she does it all well…Extremely Type A. This is a page turning, swoon worthy, sexual, and in your feelings kind of book. Lauren Landish knocked it out of the park with this one. A home run for sure. It’s told in different points of view, no cheating, no cliffhanger, and most of all a hea. I highly recommend this book.
Brody Tannen is a man of few words and the backbone of his family. After his mother died, it became his responsibility to raise his siblings because their father was never home, too busy gambling away the family’s money, home and farm. Brody has no time for commitment or marriage as his siblings have found. No, he’s not even contemplating it. That is, until Rix (don’t call me Erica) Cole, owner of Cole’s Automotive, a business that’s been in the family since her father opened it, throws a wrench into his plans. She is a type A, highly organized, definitely focused and gives as much as she gets. Brody feels comfortable around this little spitfire and it’s not long before casual becomes more serious. Rix panics and does what she does best… runs. Brody is crushed and thinks this might be the end, until family steps up. The story of Rix’s ability to work with cars, especially race cars, has always been the focus of her life and she’s not willing to give it up for anybody. Tragedy strikes and a secret is exposed. Rough Edge is another beautiful story of how the strength and love of family can overcome almost everything.. Heartwarming!
Talk about brash, bold foul mouthed characters Erica and Brody. Even with that said I loved Erica and Brody. We got bits and pieces of Brody’s story we get the whole thing, it explained a lot of why Brody is the way he his. With his grumpy demeanor he still has a heart. Erica makes me laugh, she is no nonsense, what you see is what you get and she has a heart. I found Erica a Brody perfect for each other. The way Erica and Brody met was a huge laugh for me. Lauren Landish made me laugh, get teary eyed and sit on the edge of my seat. In my opinion I got a little bit of everything in this story. I found it fun and entertaining. I read on Kindle Unlimited.
OMG Brody and Erica or Rix are one special kind of mix! Brody’s truck breaks down at the perfect time and place that he happens to meet one pint size pixie of a mechanic who almost beans him in the head with a wrench. She might be small but man Rix is sure mighty! Together the Cowboy and Little Bit make one heck of a read. I enjoyed the car info and racing bits but really liked the fact that neither of these two were suddenly it for each other. This book to me reads so much like a real life story and that makes for such a good read. Of course no good book would be without someone trying to stop the lovers and there is a dude Reed who is there trying his darnest. Dare I hope our author gives him a book at some point in time?
After falling in love with Brutal, I couldn’t wait to meet the rest of the Tannen Boys. No, I haven’t read the Bennett series, but I will be changing that soon!
Brody is the oldest of the Tannen siblings and has carried the weight of the world on his shoulders for a very long time and takes his responsibilities seriously. When he meets Erica Cole, the tiny spitfire sets his world on fire. Erica may be tiny in stature, but she makes up for it with a lot of sass. Everything Brody throws at her, she throws it back just as fast and hard. And Brody loves it!
Problem – Erica’s twin sister sets her sights on Brody and decides instantly that he’s “The One”. So Erica backs off. Once Brody and her twin get through to her, these two light up the pages. They both agree nothing serious, just fun. But it’s clear to see to everyone around them that serious is growing.
When one of them gets injured, we see just how serious their relationship is. Family be damned, they are taking care of each other. Can they get break down the pre-perceived notions that Erica’s father has for who she will marry and spend her life with? Can Brody’s family convince him that he is worth loving and having his own happily-ever-after?
I thought I had hit the romance lottery when The Bennett Boys first came out, but Lauren Landish has really outdone herself with The Tannen Boys! What I like the most about this story is how comfortable both characters are in their own personalities. Neither asking for change, just acceptance. Brody is my new favorite alpha bad boy! I loved that he can be tough and yet tender without apology. Erica is a firecracker with a soft under belly. She is fiercely loyal and loving to those that she cares about. It was both hot and sweet! The entire series has been outstanding! This was a 5 star read for me. My only negative was that as with all good things, it had to come to an end! I can’t wait for the next installment to see what Lauren Landish has planned for Bobby Tannen!
I tend to love all of Laurens boys, doesn’t seem to matter which last name they have they are hot and definately book boyfriend worthy. So here we have Brody who while doing a favor for his sister ends up meeting Erica, called Rix to her friends and the banter begins because Erica is super snarky. These two could not be more different but that is why the phrase opposites attract is so one because these two can light a fire..Grab a copy and Enjoy!
rcvd an ARC at no cost to author…voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.
Love the entire series and can’t wait for the next instalment.
This is a feel-good novel with different issues that are worked out without any games or dramatic ending.
Great writing from Ms Landish as usual, brings you in and I didn’t want to put the book down.
I received an author’s copy and have left an honest review
If you loved the Bennett Boys, you’ll love the Tannen Brothers. Brody has been in previous books. He’s the oldest, responsible, strong, and dedicated to his family brother. When he meets Erica (Nix) at the garage that she runs and is a grease monkey at, there is instant chemistry. A little mistaken identity almost derails this relationship. Nix is keeping secrets from her family about her sideline and hobby. Brody only wants her to be happy and safe and is supportive. I kinda have a bit of a crush on this broody Cowboy. These two are perfect for each other. The story is well paced, great character development, and some surprises along then way. Another great read from one of my favorite authors Lauren Landish.
I received and ARC and this is my 100% honest review.
Another amazing book about the Tannen Boys. Brodys story is great and his chemistry with Rix is amazing! They had a plan but nothing goes as planned. This is a must read if you love a good cowboy romance.
Brody Tannen is rough around the edges, tough, broody, and sometimes down right grumpy. He was, at one time, in charge of the family farm, raised his younger sister, and worked with his brothers to keep their heads above water. He now works for the Bennetts, and he’s mostly OK with that, for now. Erica Cole is ex military, she’s now in charge of her retired father’s auto shop. She’s tough, she’s rowdy, and she can sometimes be a little, maybe a lot crude.
Absolutely fascinating, unique, and well written characters. Being familiar with Brody, I was looking forward to him finding his match, and wasn’t disappointed at all when he met Erica (Rix) Cole, a woman just as tough, and rough around the edges as Brody himself. Fun, and sometimes hysterically funny, with plenty of unexpected, and surprising twists in the plot. Fantastic book, I loved it!
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.
Brody and Erika are two very independent people who when they are together sparks fly! They have their own ideas of how things should be and speak their minds. They have a constant push pull chemistry that keeps you reading to see how it will play out. Of coarse there are some who think no good can come from these two being more than buddies. Will they let their guard down and give their feelings a chance to be more? Does life get in the way? Is it possible to get the HEA? Check this book out and see for yourself what happens. I loved this book! The sassy woman, tough as nails cowboy. I am ready for more! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy from the author.
Brody the quite alpha is brought to his knees by the smart mouth mechanic he meets when Bessie starts acting up.
Rix (Erica) is a tough mechanic who loves what she does. She has that tomboy side but also can be soft. That softness comes out with her twin Emily. She is a woman in a tough male world.
Brody does not show his soft side to many. He had to grow up fast and he is constantly knocking himself because he lost the farm.
These two are two I was in a pod. Their exteriors are tough and gruff, the would do anything for those they love, and are very protective if their hearts.
I loved reading how they came together. The drama in their relationship was of their own doing.
I was given this book for an honest voluntary review
The Tannen Boys are back with Rough Edge and this time it’s Brody’s turn to ‘bite the dust’.
I absolutely loved the Bennett Boys, so when Lauren Landish created the Tannen Boys, you know I was all in. Brody is all gruff, all grunt, and definitely a dirty talking cowboy who meets his match in Erica. And he doesn’t even realize it at first because he’s never been taken down a notch by anyone, minus Mama Louise. And Erica is a powerhouse! She is the epitome of a whirlwind of epic power, just as Brody describes her.
These two together are legitimate fireworks from the very beginning. She’s a smack-talking, no-nonsense woman in a man’s world who takes no prisoners and refuses to back down from a challenge. This girl sets me on fire so I can only imagine what she does for Brody.
Lauren knocked this one straight out of the park. I was right there for all of it and watched as both Brody and Erica got the wind knocked out of them. They are a force to be reckoned with on their own, but together… they are a match made and no one is stopping them. Even when they try to stop themselves.
This story had all the feels, complete with details that had you feeling every single thing that the characters feel. You are there in the story with them, from the very start, and when it’s all said and done… you’re not ready for it to be over. You want more and need more because they got their hooks into you and refused to let you go.
Five stars for this fun emotional small town romance that has you right there, fighting the fight with them and willing them to get out of their own way and see what is right in front of them. I can’t wait to get my hands on Bobby’s book because I KNOW that one is going to be one for the record books!
