PrideA sin every made man is born into. With a branding iron, our souls are scorched into believing there is no greater virtue than our syndicate pride—we kill and bleed to keep its honor.Yet, some might say pride comes before destruction—a haughty spirit before a fall.I say there are far more devastating ways to push someone into the fiery pits of hell. A lover’s betrayal cuts more deeply than … pits of hell.
A lover’s betrayal cuts more deeply than any wound a knife can inflict.
When she left, we were nothing but boys; little less than your everyday thugs.
Too naive and blinded by love, to see deep into her traitorous heart.
Her departure made sure to turn us all cruel, spiteful, and vindictive.
And now, her deceitful smile returns, searching to plague us further.
She wants absolution. She craves justice.
But she is unworthy of either.
Because the boys she pretended to treasure, no longer exist.
It took one rotten girl of our past, to turn us all into the rotten men we are today.
And it’s about time she got acquainted with her creations.

Ever since I read book 1, Rotten Girl, I have been waiting to read the next book! Finally it came and it was soooooo good! There are so many twists and turns, I didnt know what to expect next! This book was very dark and addicting.
Selene, Dominic, Gio, and Vincent have been separated due to surprising circumstances. Yet Dominic, Gio, and Vincent have all been in love with Selene their entire lives and will do anything they need to in order to protect her.
This was a great story and I really enjoyed reading this. I have not read anything like this and it was refreshing. Ivy Fox definitely has a new follower! If you have not picked up your copy of Rotten Men, I suggest you go grab your copy.
I really don’t know how to put into words how I felt about this book, aside from that it was absolutely perfect, beautifully written and had a bittersweet feel to it.
I admit that this took me a long time to read. I was in pins and needles for it to come and when the day it became live, I was giddy with excitement. But along with it was trepidation. I wasn’t ready for this story to end. I fell in love with these characters so hard that I know saying goodbye wasn’t going to be easy. So, I let this sit on my kindle for weeks, silently taunting me with that beautiful cover until I finally gave up. It was time for me to “woman up” and face the inevitable agony.
The story started 10 years after Selene left and all of the characters had tried to moved on with their lives, although still haunted by their past. It was told in multiple POV which I loved because I felt the connection with each character. And oh, the feels! I was choking with my emotions as I read along.
“Either by fire or ice, our love will always burn. Not even death can change that”.
It was pure agony the situations that they had to went through. I was thinking, how are they going to have their happy ever after when the entire world seems to conspire against them? Also, was it just me or am I reading poetry? I swear I could have likened this to a Shakespearean play anytime with its beautifully articulated prose.
Selene and her rotten men will always hold a special place in my heart including Pietro. What about Ciro? I was conflicted. He is a man you will love to hate but at the same time, hate to love.
“….Could you ever love me, Selene? The same way I love you? There is genuine vulnerability underlining his every word, and my heart breaks for the monster that yearns to be loved but is resolved in killing the pieces of my own soul”.
As Juliet said to her Romeo, “parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say good night till it be morrow”. This is me hoping and praying that there would be another spin off to this story, because like I have said, I’m not ready to say goodbye at all.
So Gio and Dom are my favs! It was kind of hard to read about Vincent’s journey though it kind of hurt my heart a little. In the end I loved how this duet ended. Selene is still one of my favorite female characters in this type of series. She is strong and she loves hard. Their journey made me laugh and cry….you may want tissues…..just saying. Great characters and great writing. I know its over but I kind of wish there was more of Selene and her Rotten Men.
No spoilers of any kind included!
This book omg this book was absolutely fantastic!
Ivy Fox most definitely knows how to keep her readers sitting on the edge of their seats, because that’s where I literally was kept the whole time I was reading this book.
So it’s going to be a BIG HECK YEAH I most definitely do recommend this book but if you haven’t read Rotten Girl then I highly suggest that you do so that you’ll know what’s happening and who’s who.
What an absolutely amazing ending!! I was hooked beginning to end. Selena is an amazingly strong character and does everything she can to protect those she loves. Even if it destroys her and them. Lots if surprises and so much emotion. You will need tissues for this one
Wow that’s all I can say about this book Ivy Fox has out done herself this book is absolutely fantastic and even better than the first one which I thought was impossible. Ivy’s characters are absolutely amazing you will definitely fall in love with the guys I was laughing, crying and lost my heart many times. Ivy has not let me down with this the second book it is a Mafia RH story and a definite must read people. I have been totally impressed with this duet and the way Ivy writes it brilliant. You need to read book 1 so you know exactly what is happening but be ready nothing is as it seems. READ THIS SERIES
Holy Moly, wow was Rotten Men just the perfect ending to an amazing duet.
What an emotional read packed full of angst, betrayals and loyalty, twists and turns, some action and violence and lots of love is what kept me enthralled and had me love these characters even more. I had moments when I shed a few tears as I felt for everything Selene, Vincent, Gio and Dom had to fight through.
Even after 10years apart the love they have to protect one an other is so strong and absolute it just pulls at my heart.
If you loved Rotten Girl you will definitely love Rotten Men and the amazing conclusion to this brilliant duet.
Wow what a ride. This book is filled with such an emotional roller coaster. Selene is such a strong woman and surrounds herself with strong, caring men who are completely devoted to her. Life is hard sometimes and so is the ride the author takes you on but I promise it is worth it in the end.
Jumping back into the world of the Chicago mafia and the made men was everything I wanted and more. Set 10 years after Rotten Girl, we now see what has become of our Rotten Boys (now men) and our Rotten Girl. This book was an emotional rollercoaster, full of surprises, heart warming love and heart breaking decisions. I could not put this book down, I love these guys as if they were real, Vincent absolutely broke my heart, Dom’s love for Selene is something to be envious of and Gio just brings a smile to my face constantly.
This is perfection!!! Their ending doesn’t come easily but, man, it is so worth the ride. This is exactly the way things should end and I adore every word, every tear, every moment with these characters. Thank you, Ms. Fox, for this wonderful world you gave to us.
Rotten Men is the second book in this amazing Duet series. It’s necessary to read them in order or else the actions and consequences won’t make sense.
This book is filled with deceit, loss, illegal activity, obsession, abuse but mostly love. Love of a mother, a child,a brother, a family, and of a soul mate. Each page leads to a rollercoaster of emotions to find out how relationships are dealt with within the Mafia and the lengths people go to protect the ones they love. Read to find out how loving someone is worth facing fears.
Selene (the MFC) is still trying to outrun her past. A past that wants to bring her down. Not just her but the people she loves & she wont let that happen. Good god this book takes you on such a roller-coast of emotions but its one you’d happily stay on until the end. This book & the one before are absolutely amazing!! I read it in one day because honestly i couldnt put it down. It was that good
This is the second book in the Rotten Love Duet and it was the perfect ending for the series! The book grabs your attention right from the beginning full of twists & turns, suspense, love and sacrifice. I was hooked the minute I started reading and I couldn’t put it down.
The sequel to Rotten Girl, Rotten Men takes place 10 years after the events of the first book, which I was actually really happy about. Part of the draw of these characters is their journey, it’s what they’ve been through. I think if the second book would have followed on immediately after the first book, it would have cheated them a bit.
This book is multi-POV, and we get to know much more about the men in Selene’s life now. She returns to Chicago, and they’re not sure what to believe. Meanwhile, Selene’s still trying to protect herself while trying to making sure that the right thing is done. A lot happens in this book, because there is a lot to rebuild in the way of relationships and trust, not to mention the actual plot. It’s a bit of a battle between head and heart in this book, as the the characters have obviously all been hurt, but they haven’t lost any of their chemistry from the first book. This book is most definitely not lacking in chemistry and sexy scenes. It’s hard not to give too much away with this, because there are a few bomb drops in this story. I saw some of them coming, but not others.
My only criticism with this book is that, while it’s very clear this this story takes place 10 years after book 1, the timeline of events in this book isn’t very clearly laid out. In some places it’s alluded to that weeks or months have passed, but it’s not actually explicit, so it can be a little hard to understand the full extent of what’s gone on. It’s not that big a deal, and it didn’t really detract from the story, but I did find myself asking the question. It could just be me, though.
I do slightly wish the story would have carried on a little but further, as the ending felt a little abrupt, but I think that’s mainly because I really like these characters. I just wanted more. Overall, I thought it was a brilliant and exciting ending to this duet, and absolutely fitting of the characters in the story.
I am not sure how to summarize how I feel after finishing the finale of Ivy’s Rotten Love duet. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to chuck my computer across the room. Ivy did an amazing job bringing these characters to life and making me root for them and love them. The rawness the characters emoted made it feel so real.
I won’t give too much away, but we start off years after Selene has left her guys in Chicago and she has to deal with the men they have become in her absence. There are always consequences and her boys didn’t escape unscathed. She has to break down their walls (in a different way for each of the guys which was lovely to see unfold) and get them to help her with a huge problem she faces. Some go right back to the way things were when they were kids, while others have thicker layers of ice around their hearts that Selene must melt before she can break through.
I absolutely fell for Giovanni in Book 1, there was no comparison in my mind. After reading book 2, I can admit that Dom and Gio are tied as my favorites of Selene’s Made Men. I think seeing Dom’s reaction to her return, despite how menacing he is as an enforcer, made me smile and want a Dom of my own. He is such a big teddy bear haha. I loved Gio’s snark and unfiltered awesomeness too! Vincent’s journey was hard to watch, but Ivy did it justice and he eventually conquered his darkness and inner turmoil. Selene needs all of them for what’s about to come and its not going to be pretty. Mafia life isn’t unicorns and rainbows. Be prepared to have your heart ripped out and smashed to smithereens. I even cried and I don’t normally cry when reading books.
I have to say this duo was my favorite of Ivy’s books thus far. I think Rotten Men was even better than Rotten Girl. Ivy was able to stick to mafia life but bring in the element of reverse harem. She even added a lot of twists I wasn’t expecting! I kept guessing which way she was going to go with a character or story and I was wrong like 80% of the time. I thought it was refreshing and one of the reasons I couldn’t put it down. I needed to know what they did next, screw my chores and real-world job and responsibilities .
The book hangover I am experiencing is no joke, but I can’t wait to reread these, listen to them on audio, and hopefully get more yumminess in a future box set, if Ivy would honor us with more Made Men and their Queen. I highly recommend this book, series, and author. If you want a book that will suck you in, you have come to the right place. Ivy does an amazing job with this contemporary romance that has a little hint of darkness and a ton of angst. 5/5 stars doesnt even do it justice
Holy cow what a bloody happy ever after their rotten love had. It such an amazing story with all the feels. I love these rotten man and their rotten girl will always hold a special place in my heart.
I can’t believe I’ve read both books in this duet in one day!!! If that doesn’t say how much one loves a series I don’t know what does!!! I couldn’t put it down!! I had to know what the fate was for our brooding bunch was!!! I certainly wasn’t let down by it’s awesome ending!! My heart is warm and I couldn’t have asked for a better hea! Now to let my Ivy Fox bender continue!!! On to the next book
