From proud Scottish stock, Blackthornes never lose. But, one by one, the seven sexy men in this family are about to risk everything when they fall for strong and beautiful women who test their mettle in life…and love.ROSSRoss Blackthorne … love.
ROSS
Ross Blackthorne likes his cars fast and his women faster. As the third son, he’s accustomed to living his life without the pressure to succeed that his older brothers face. But when he crashes his race car during a public event, his father decides enough is enough. It’s time for Ross to step up and join the family business.
Holly Brooks has her hands full running operations at the Blackthorne Distillery in Lexington, Kentucky. The last thing she needs is to babysit an unrepentant playboy who doesn’t have any interest in learning what it takes to make world-class bourbon.
Ross only intends to stay for as long as it takes to convince his father he’s better suited to driving fast—but working in close proximity to Holly is more interesting than he expected.
Can daredevil Ross convince good girl Holly that he’s worth the risk? Or is their budding relationship doomed to crash and burn?

Ross and Holly
A quick read in a short time frame packed full of emotions. Ross and Holly couldn’t be more different, yet they find themselves stuck with each other and liking it. An easy, lighter read that I fell in love with and recommend for a happy, feel good mood
Ross (7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes, #3 by Lynn Raye Harris t
Loving this series… this is Ross and Holly’s story…he is a Nascar top driver and she is running operations at the Blackthorne Distillery in Lexington, Kentucky. His father decides it is time for him to work in the business…she is to teach him.
This story is full of feelings, laughs, tears, angst, lost and found dreams and plenty of steamy stuff to get to a very HEA. This book can be read as a standalone but it is fun to catch up with the brothers and cousins and family drama.
Loved it
This one has Ross falling in love this family goes from having 7 Bachelors to have 3 of them falling for wonderful women. This time Rose has scarce accident that makes his dad work at the distillery in Kentucky. Holly’s family use to own the distillery until the fire but she training under her uncle to become a master distiller when she meets Ross.
Hot shot Ross Blackthorne is a race car driver. He has never felt like he should be in the family business. He has other ideas with what to do with his life. A crash with fire changed that. He was given the orders to show up and learn the family business. Holly Brooks is the distiller and one day will be the master. Now she needs to play babysitter to Ross. There is a fine line between love and hate and the anger part is showing. She does not fall all over him. For the first time he has to work to get someone to like him. In the process, he finds that he is a Blackthorne after all. He is the third one to find the one.
In my opinion this book is the perfect example of don’t judge a book by it’s cover. To Holly, Ross is going to be nothing but trouble. She set her mind to dislike him no matter what. I thought he was going to be like all the other Blackthornes so arrogant he is unlikable. He is a little arrogant but he is not a jerk, he proved that early in the book. In my opinion he is a sweet guy. Holly has an edge to her but she is loyal to her family. Sometimes I feel in the Blackthornes Series things get glossed over, I feel I’m missing some of the story. Gramham Blackthorne and his meddling and nobody standing up to him is starting to grate my last nerve. Overall this is my favorite Blackthorne book so far. I read on Kindle Unlimited.
Okay being totally honest here Lynn Raye Harris is the reason I bought this series even though I love all the other authors participating I am a huge fan of all of Lynns books and I couldn’t just buy this one I had to read them all or it would have driven me nuts even though they can be read as stand-alone books.
So while I enjoyed Devlin and Jason Ross’s story was absolutely amazing it had more zing for me and not just because Ross is a gear head even though that was really appealing it’s just the way Lynn writes her characters are just beyond awesome, they are extremely relatable, likable and sexy as all get out. Ross was funny, sweet and sexy I really loved his caring side. Holly was straight forward I loved that about her she always said what was on her mind and I love how dedicated she was to the distillery and her family.
This is definitely my favorite book of the series.
A new to me author that was part of a series that a few authors took part in was a real treat to see how they got all the characters to mesh when it was their turn to take a crack at one of the Blackthorne men. I am enjoying each of the books and feel that you could read them all as a stand alone but it is always best to read them in the order they are numbered. I cant wait to get into the next book.
Ross and Holly
Ross is a Blackthorne and after crashing on live national TV, his father calls him to tell him he’s leaving racing stock cars and he’s going to Kentucky to work at the distillery and learn everything he can about the family business Ross isn’t happy with the decision but to placate his father for the moment, he does as he asks.
Holly isn’t happy when she learns Ross will be coming to learn the business at the distillery where she runs the day to day operations with her Uncle, only because she knows he’d rather be out racing than at the distillery. But as they get to know each other better, it appears that they have an explosive chemistry and when they kiss that spark ignites and it’s scorching hot
I really enjoyed this story and Lynn is one of my favourite authors, so I’d only planned on reading her and Cristin’s Phillip next but I’ve changed my mind…I’m going to read them all and find out exactly what’s happening within the Blackthorne family
I absolutely loved this one. Ross is a race car driver. He likes things fast. He may be a Blackthorne but he doesn’t want anything to do with the whisky. Until one accident and his father demands that he step away and work in the business. He meets Holly. For Holly working in the Blackthorne Distillery is everything. She loves it and wants to do nothing else. Will she be able to change Ross’s way of thinking? Will Ross show her that there is more to life? I loved the chemistry between these two. I absolutely loved the ride that you are taken on with these two and how things change for Ross when he sees things through Holly’s eyes. A great book from beginning to end. A great book to this series.
5 Stars from Renee!
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, and heartbreak.
This is Holly and Ross’s story. After a crash his father decided enough is enough. Ross is sent to work with Holly. Problem is that Ross just does not wanna work. He does like being close to Holly. Only problem is she has issues with his shenanigans. Can he figure out a way to prove that he can change? Or his he about to lose Holly?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.
We know Lynne for her military HOT series, but she has also written in a few other collaborations. This edition to Seven Brides for Seven Blackthorne series brings out Lynne’s Nascar side and whiskey, because they should also be talked about together. Ross is a driver who is forced back into the family business of whiskey making after an accident. Holly is a brewer, a member of a family that brewed for years but do do circumstances now work for the Blackthornes. I love the chemistry between the two and how they develop through the store. A good read.
Ross by Lynn Raye Harris is book #3 in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes and it is a sexy quick read and a winner! Ross Blackthorne is a sexy, playboy race car driver who is forced by his father to learn about the family’s Blackthorne Distillery business in Lexington, KY after a crash on the race track. Holly Brooks runs the Blackthorne Distillery in Lexington with her uncle for the Blackthornes. Holly has no use for showing the sexy race car driver Ross the ropes. Sparks fly from the first meeting. I encourage you to get this book to find out if these sparks lead to love. Wonderful story!
Ross by Lynn Raye Harris is the third story in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthorne Series. It is a wonderful series, filled with family, great characters and amazing locations. Ross is the story of daredevil and race car driver Ross Blackthorne and Holly Brooks. Ross’s last race ends for him with a fiery crash because of a blown engine. His father, Graham, informs Ross that he needs to take a break from racing and learn more about the family whisky business at their distillery in Lexington, Kentucky. Holly Brooks is in charge of the operations at the Blackthorne Distillery. She is not looking forward to having to spend time training Ross, especially since everything she has read about him leads her to believe that Ross is a womanizer. Holly’s family had to sell their bourbon distillery to the Blackthornes after a lightning strike caused a fire that destroyed everything and Holly’s dreams to one day be the master distiller at the Brooks Distillery. Ross arrives and sparks fly between him and Holly. Both Ross and Holly know that this is only a temporary job for him. Once Graham clears Ross for racing they both know that he will return to the job he loves, racing cars. As Holly spends time with Ross, she realizes that he is not the guy she originally thought that he was. Holly shares the heartbreak with Ross about all the devastation that happened to the Brooks family as a result of the fire. Her father suffers a fatal heart attack shortly after the fire, her brother leaves Lexington, the distillery and moves to Connecticut, but the most devastating is Holly’s sister, Emily suffered brain damage from a fall the night of the fire. Holly feels that it is her responsibility to take care of her sister. Ross shares with Holly, his dreams of what he wants to do after his auto racing career is over. He has not shared that with anyone. I love how Ross and Holly brought out the best in each other. It was a wonderful long story and I could not put it down. I love that Holly is a strong woman who stood up for herself. I am looking forward to reading Phillip’s story. Love catching up with all the Blackthornes in each book.
What an exciting book this was to read! Lynn Raye Harris has once again created such a beautiful love story combined with fast cars and whisky 😉
Ross Blackthorne crashed and burned on the track then his father did the unthinkable as far as Ross was concerned and pulled him out of the driver’s seat and sent him to learn the process’ of making fine bourbon.
Holly Margaret Brooks was not at all happy when she was told Ross Blackthorne was coming to the distillery and she was to teach him everything he needed to know in order to distill fine bourbon.
Ross could tell Holly did not like the fact that he was here but he was determined to show her who he really was and that was so much more than just a Blackthorne.
Holly was not at all sure she liked Ross but it was her assignment to teach him everything she knew about distilling fine bourbon.
What started out as a simple ride home which involved stopping for dinner, then breakfast the next morning since he needed to pick her up for work, grew into something neither expected.
There was a spark between Ross and Holly that burned white hot bringing both to the realization that they did not want to be without the other.
Grab a copy of this book, a glass of your favorite wine and enjoy this beautiful love story.
Ross by /lynn Raye Harris. This is Ross and Holly story. The story captured me from the beginning. it started off with some action that drew e to Ross. He is a racer driver. He was involved in a crash and his father wouldn’t allow him to race anymore. He was sent to Kentucky to learn the famiky business making whiskey. Reluctantly he goes and on day one e meets Holly again. The distillery used to belong to her family until the fire and she was being groomed to take over. She is smart as a whip and very independent. I love how she didn’t let Ross’s money effect her and I loved Ross’s big heart. To watch the two of them fall in love was awesome. Each one had something the other person needed which made for a fun read. I wanted, ore of them.
“She hadn’t wanted to like this man. Not at all. But she did. And it was vital she didn’t let him know it.”
What a great story!! The hot-shot, speed-addicted, womanizing racer, and the straight laced, take no BS, girl next door, on a collision course to love!!
Ross likes adventure, women, and race cars. After an impressive and fiery crash, his father thinks Ross has had his fun and needs to hang up his helmet and take his place in the family business. Ross will humor him but has every intention of getting back behind the wheel of his race car. But Holly Brooks might be the one to throw the checkered flag on all of his plans. She’s everything he never expected, and that might not be such a bad thing.
Holly has been tasked with showing pretty-boy Ross Blackthorne the ropes of his family’s bourbon business. He’s not taking it seriously and that infuriates her! He’s all good looks, smarmy grins, and rides the coattails of his own charm. But, he’s showing her another side of himself – one that throws the caution flag on all of her preconceptions. Sure, he’s kind of her boss being a Blackthorne, but he’s working his way in to her heart. That can’t be good. Right?
This was such a cute story. I loved Ross and Holly. So different, but so perfect for one another!! A great addition to the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series!
Although Ross walks away with no injuries from a last lap fiery crash, the damage was done and his father demands he stop racing and become part of the family business. Holly, who only wants to see the distillery flourish under her care, is now in charge of overseeing Ross in the company. But will one obligation turn into actually finding exactly what you were looking for? Will working in close quarters bring out the fire and love that the two never thought would be there? This was another addition to a wonderful series. Each brother gets better and better and more family secrets are revealed. I cannot wait for more in the series.
