Meet Rosemary Field, chemist turned private chef, in this fresh and funny romantic mystery from a USA Today bestseller. The day I become a murder suspect starts like any other. I’m busy prepping for a dinner party, regretting my life choices, and putting up with my diva movie star boss’s antics. But when said miserable movie star dies from an allergic reaction after eating my cooking, the police … after eating my cooking, the police want to charge me and close the case.
To clear my reputation and stay out of prison, I have to find the real murderer. The suspect list is long (did I mention she was a rotten person?) and includes a womanizing race car driver; a powerful music producer; Hollywood’s hottest leading man; and, oh yeah, Felix, the dead woman’s gorgeous stepson–which gets a bit awkward when he and I start dating.
Things go from bad to worse when Felix nearly dies from food poisoning after I make him a romantic dinner.
Now I’m unhappily single, unemployed, and once again on the wrong side of the LAPD.
Salvaging an oversalted sauce? No problem. Saving my bacon while a ruggedly handsome homicide detective investigates me for murder? We’ll see …

I enjoyed the plot.
Cute little story with a few twists of who done it when someone is found dead and main character is innocently under suspicion. Sub story of three sisters, one being the main character. Great for a cozy day to relax and read. Light romance.
Liked it
Not a good tead
Sisters Rosemary, Sage and Thyme are a fun read. This is Rosemary’s story and as it twists and turns to its conclusion, I was entertained and captivated. I enjoyed it so much, I purchased the next book in the series when I was done.
Enjoyable characters, a great beach book
Fun to read
Easy reading
This book is a funny and charming comedy complete with playboy villain and good cop in the cast of characters.
Fun book. Enjoyed it
Thin, predictable mildly amusing romantic “mystery. Harmless.
Great Book. Loved it.
A bit of fluff but sometimes I like fluff!
Found it morally objectionable.
A great who dunnit read.
This is a very engaging mystery right from the start. It kept me guessing until the very end. Although I really hated Felix and couldn’t understand Rosemary ‘s attraction to him, I would highly recommend this book.
Not a page turner but entertaining.
Miller never fails to entertain and hold the readers interest. She is a talented author and one of my favorites. Keep writing.
Like a grownup Nancy Drew mystery. Very enjoyable!
This was a great read for the characters- the plot was not as interesting as the people. I am looking forward to more by this author.
