As usual Colleen Coble does not disappoint! This is a really terrific second book in the series, and it left me wanting to dive into the next book! The mystery was really good, and the timing of the plot was perfect. The characters were awesome, of course! And the romance was really clean and sweet! I highly recommend this whole series!
I borrowed an audiobook copy of this book from the local library and thoroughly enjoyed the book. Amy Lang and Curtis Ireland have each lost a sibling, and they believe there was foul play involved, now they have to get the authorities to agree. Curtis has raising his niece Raine since her mother’s death. This story takes a number of twists and turns, and there are lots of interesting scenes in the book. Colleen Coble is a master at mystery and holding your attention.
Another Hope Island Beach Page-Turner by Novelist Colleen Coble! And her Hope Island stories keep getting better and better.
Amy comes home to Rosemary Cottage to grieve the loss of her brother Nick, who was lost in a surfing accident. His body was never recovered. So she can’t accept he’s dead and begins her own investigation.
In her quest to find the truth she meets Charlie, Coast Guard member and single father of six-month-old baby Raine. Raine’s mother, and Charlie’s sister, was killed in a boating accident shortly before. But who was Raine’s father? And, did these two accidents off Hope Island have anything to do with each other?
The characters are so vivid in this book, I wanted to jump into their conversations. In some conversations, I wanted to shake someone. In some I wanted to show a guest (?) the door! And when the action got going, I could feel the sea spray on my face and, at times found myself thinking, “Charlie, look out!” I was right there inside the story! Oh! And the ante really goes up when baby Raine is kidnapped with no ransom demand!
And, in true Coble style, the mystery isn’t solved until the very last twist and turn.
I won’t spoil it for you. But, I will promise you…. This book is worth a second read…and I’ll love it and the great narration by Devon O’Day all over again!
I highly recommend you read Rosemary Cottage!!!

Loved it!
This is one of my favorite authors. I always enjoy reading her books & this one was just as good. The characters are written in such a way that you fall in love with them & want to keep on reading more to fins out what happens to them.
This book can be something. I got really into it. I love the fact the Mystery goes though the entire book and you do not figure it out until towards the end. Though you do not until the very end of the book. This book really keep me interested and it made me really want to find out what happen to Ben Lang. I also wanted to find out how Gina had died. It really a good book more mystery then romance. Though you see the friendship that goes though. It also talks about Amy Lang and her struggles as well.
