Must read all three in the series Dent Miller
Good book. Sadly, rest of author’s books not available in prime reading.
I liked story and the characters and the fact the story took place in areas near my home. The editing and/or proof-reading left a lot to be desired and that was annoying, but an easy fix.
Hard to put down
I would like the whole series but can’t buy them presently. great, fast moving and action packed.
Good story. I could do without the foul language.
The story’s plot gets ever more complex as the book is read. It starts with the killing of a young girl, to a brutal attack on Dent’s partner, to Dent being adopted by apparent Fed to thwart the export of young women and import of terrorists by man involved with the CIA. Some bad guys are killed but the CIA aligned man is still killing good guys at the end of the book.
I enjoyed this one so much. Hated for it to end, so I promptly bought the 2 sequel books. Good drama. Sympathetic main character.
from Rose City and I enjoy books about my hometown. Good book, great read.
I live in Portland so I found it fun to know exactly where the scenes were in the city. A little predictable but also some good twists. Good writing too. The only thing I found annoying was a couple of spots had duplicate writing (previous passages reprinted out of context). I think it was a program glitch but that is the only criticism. I like it enough to order 2 and 3 right away.
Enjoyed the character Dent. Seemed like a plausible story, was hard to put down.Thumbs up !!
Great book! Looking for more books by this author.
Constant comparing to movies and tv cop shows.
Good crime fiction. Well written with engaging characters.
I really enjoyed this book as it took some unexpected twists and turns. Since I have lived in Portland, I especially enjoyed remembering the familiar places and imagining how the scenes took place.
I liked this book very much. Having lived in the Portland area for 20 years, it was an enjoyable return to familiar surroundings.
Present day dystopia with a lot of action and violence and an adequate amount of sex. Alcohol is sprinkled throughout. Good alternative to Netflix or cable television.
Dent Miller is a true hero, caring more about protecting others than himself, and does the right thing even when doing the wrong thing would be far easier. Well-written, action packed and suspenseful.
A good story line with interesting, credible characters. The book is well-written and I enjoyed reading it.
Being a Portland native, I really wanted to like this book. I just couldn’t get into it and quit a couple chapters in. Too much tell, not enough show.
